Chapter 101: Chapter 101
"Spare your life, my foot! Where was your plea for mercy when you were bullying me just now? Now that you’ve fallen into my hands and realize how tough uncle is, you want me to let you off? Dream on! Has there ever been such a great bargain in this world?" Zhao Ling’er said with a furious expression on her face.
Having said that, she picked up a brick from the ground and charged at the Fatty Taoist, bringing it down on his head with brutal force...
After a dozen or so hits, Zhao Ling’er couldn’t go on; she had no strength left and stood panting to one side.
"Uncle, I need to step away to relieve myself, this sleazy old man is all yours. Don’t hold back on my account. Beat him mercilessly, ideally to death!" After declaring this, Zhao Ling’er’s eyes darted around, and she turned to flee the problematic spot.
She vowed never to skip class again, nor would she ever go out at night again. Even if she did go out, she certainly wouldn’t climb over the wall from the small grove behind the school again; there were just too many bad people out there.
"Wife, where do you think you’re going?" As Zhao Ling’er had just taken a couple of steps, Zhang Xiaohao’s body swayed, blocking her path, and with a plop! Zhao Ling’er crashed into Zhang Xiaohao’s embrace.
"Ah! Uncle, you’re so fast! I need to pee," said Zhao Ling’er as she swiveled her eyes, not showing the slightest bit of embarrassment.
"Hehe," Zhang Xiaohao snickered.
"Ah! Uncle, why are you hitting me? I didn’t do anything wrong!" Zhao Ling’er pouted and wailed in dissatisfaction.
"Call me husband! Listen, good wife, if you dare to call me uncle again, I will smack you!" Zhang Xiaohao warned threateningly.
"Husband, I beg you, please stop hitting me, it hurts!" Zhao Ling’er pleaded for mercy.
Hearing her submission, Zhang Xiaohao’s lips curled up slightly, and he thought to himself, ’Nice try kid, but you’re not nearly strong enough to contend with me.’ He let go of her and went over to the Fatty Taoist.
Standing on his more-than-face, Zhang Xiaohao asked, "Do you want me to let you go?"
"Mhm!" The fat old man tried his best to nod his head, enduring the unbearable itching within his body.
"Well then! If you eat that clump of mud over there, I’ll let you go," Zhang Xiaohao said offhand.
"Ah! Husband, don’t!" Zhao Ling’er, flustered, blurted out in haste.
She had witnessed with her own eyes the crafty methods that the Fatty Taoist had used, the way he coldly took a living person’s life.
If they let him go, there was no telling if he would harbor a grudge and find trouble with her on a dark and windy night.
"Senior is a reclusive master! A man of his word, so once you’ve spoken, you surely won’t go back on it. So senior, if I really eat that big clump of mud over there, will you truly let me go?" The Fatty Taoist hastily spoke up, first trying to flatter Zhang Xiaohao.
"Don’t try to butter me up. I’ve made a promise, and I won’t go back on it! If you eat that clump of mud over there, I won’t kill you," Zhang Xiaohao said with a playful tone.
"Fine!" The Fatty Taoist didn’t beat around the bush. With gritted teeth, he struggled to crawl under a large tree, and instantly a foul scent of urine wafted through the air—it was his own from when he had passed by earlier.
Bearing the nausea, the Fatty Taoist stretched out his hand and shoved a large lump of wet mud into his mouth...
"Husband, you can’t seriously be letting him go, can you? Haven’t you ever heard of the saying, ’releasing a tiger back to the mountains’?" Zhao Ling’er gently reminded him.
"Don’t talk—just watch!" Zhang Xiaohao’s lips turned up in a smug smile.
Minutes later, the Fatty Taoist’s body stiffened dramatically, and suddenly, he let out a shrill cry. His legs shook, and he choked to death on the mud.
"What! Just like that, he’s dead?" Zhao Ling’er’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"What else did you think?" Zhang Xiaohao said proudly.
Incapable of using his meridians, the Fatty Taoist surely stood no chance after eating mud.
Ignoring the strange look in Zhao Ling’er’s eyes, Zhang Xiaohao walked over and reached into his pocket to take out Corpse Dissolving Powder, sprinkling some on both of their bodies.
A dense smoke billowed from the Fatty Taoist and the earlier deceased man, and in moments, both of their bodies dissolved into a puddle and vanished.
"Ah! Ghosts!" Witnessing this scene, Zhao Ling’er was struck with such fright that it was a wonder she didn’t faint on the spot. She turned and fled at top speed.
Zhang Xiaohao glanced at the spear and saw inside the two weapons on the ground, tapped his foot, and collected the ordinary weapons into the Shennong Ring.
Watching Zhao Ling’er who had run several meters away, Zhang Xiaohao’s lips curved again with an amused smile. With a flicker of his body, he covered a distance of seven or eight meters in a blink and appeared next to Zhao Ling’er once more.
"Ah! That hurts!" Zhao Ling’er collided with Zhang Xiaohao’s embrace once again, clutching her forehead in pain and gasping for air. Nᴇw ɴovel chaptᴇrs are published on 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩~𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢~𝔫𝔢𝔱
"What are you up to, wife?" Zhang Xiaohao asked with a sly grin.
"Ah! How can you be so fast? Don’t you try anything funny. If you dare to mess around, don’t blame me for being ruthless!" Zhao Ling’er took a step backward and cautioned him.
"Tsk tsk! What do you think I want to do? Besides I’ve got the deed of sale you signed," Zhang Xiaohao boasted.
Releasing Zhao Ling’er and gazing at her flushed cheeks, Zhang Xiaohao looked at her with a triumphant smile.
"That was the reward for saving you just now! I’m busy tonight, wife."
Without waiting for Zhao Ling’er to respond, he scooped her up with one hand, lightly touched on a few big trees, and when he landed again, he had already entered Nanhua City’s No. 1 Middle School. Setting Zhao Ling’er down, he smiled and gave her bottom a playful slap, then leaped over the wall, leaving Nanhua City’s No. 1 Middle School behind. With the Twelve Heavenly Steps, he hastened towards Mo’s Clinic.
"You jerk, stop right there! You think you can just walk away after taking advantage of me? I swear, you’d better hope I never see you again, or I’ll beat you to a pulp!" Zhao Ling’er raged at the disappearing figure of Zhang Xiaohao.
