Kathleen had gone to visit Michael Deloux, the old man seemed sober and she decided to ask him who gave him the dose back there in the other facility and his description of the culprit only confirmed her thoughts, it was Nicole, she was behind this, why would she do that? She decided on a whim to pay Nicole a visit, she had to find out her motive for doing such. Nicole was still staying in the house that was gifted to Kyle by Derek, she opened the door just as Kathleen was about to knock, "well, well, look who is here" she smirked as soon as she opened the door and saw Kathleen, her eyes going cold, she stared at Kathleen with so much hate that Kathleen shivered, " what are you doing here?" She hissed at Kathleen, ignoring her, Kathleen pushed her way in, " I am here to know what you will gain if Derek's father relapsed"

"I don't understand what you mean by that, please, leave my house

"Of cause, you know what I'm talking about and I'm not leaving here until I get an answer"

"You think of yourself so high and mighty, right? Just because you married Derek, you stole him from me, he was supposed to be mine" Nicole laughed hysterically, "and that wasn't enough, you took my son away from me" Kathleen was confused, how did Kyle's death concern her? Nicole has certainly gone mad.

"You told Derek not to find a match for Kyle" Nicole continued

"Did you forget Derek went to the hospital in order to donate his blood to Kyle? Only to find out he wasn't even Kyle's father, stop blaming others, it's your fault"

"No! Nicole screamed, "you killed my beloved son, both you and Derek will pay for it, I'll make you both pay" Nicole screamed launching at Kathleen and holding her by the neck, "you won't get away this time you bitch" Kathleen was caught off guard by her sudden attack and she struggled against her but Nicole was like someone possessed by demons, Kathleen, raised her knee and hit her on her thigh, making her to lose her balance and her grip on Kathleen loosened, Kathleen shoved her away as she cough and struggled to suck in air into her lungs but Nicole wasn't done yet, she grabbed her bag on the couch and pointed something black at Kathleen, Kathleen's eyes rounded at the sight of the gun, Nicole smiled, seeing Kathleen's expression, "are you afraid of death Kathleen?" She taunted

"Let's be reasonable about this Nicole, don't be irrational"

"Everything would have been okay if you hadn't come into the picture, Derek and I would have been married now and loving each other, but you had to ruin everything, didn't you?"

"Put the gun down Nicole, please, Derek isn't the only man on this Earth"

"Did I just hear you say please? Are you actually begging for your life?" Tipping her head up, she laughed coldly, "I see the princess doesn't want to die" her eyes narrowed as she stared at Kathleen, " Derek is the only man for me, he's the only man I love, but you had to take him away from me" she hissed

" Do you think he will live you after killing me? You'll be tagged a murderer"

"Of cause, he'll love me, I'm doing all this for him, for our love when he realized how hard I've fought for him, he'll learn to love me"

"Oh, please, don't be delusional Nicole, Derek will never, ever love you".

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut the fuck up! Nicole screamed pulling the trigger, the bullet whizzed past Kathleen's ear, she launched at Nicole, trying to grab the gun from her, they struggled with the gun, rolling on the floor, shots were fired but it went into the air, Kathleen hadn't gotten a good grip on the gun, another shot was fired and Kathleen felt something hit her, she looked down to see crimson already pooling on her cloth, her head swayed as she found herself going limb, the door suddenly burst opened, "drop the gun" was the last word she heard before she was thrown into the world of abyss.

Derek's flight was finally set, he couldn't wait to get home, he had missed Kathleen so damn much, he wanted to call her and tell her that he was coming back, he had spent one day here instead of two days or more, no, he won't call her, he would give her a surprise.

Derek walked into the house and his gaze scanned, hoping to see her but didn't see her, his eyes fell on Tasha on the couch, not saying a word to Tasha he headed straight upstairs but Kathleen wasn't there either, where had she gone? he brought out his cellphone to give her a call and noticed his phone was switched off and he tried turning it on but it showed low battery, he quickly plugged the phone, he would take a quick shower while waiting for her. He was just plugging the phone when the door opened but instead of Kathleen, Tasha came in, "Kathleen is not around" she informed in and he stared at her, his expression blank, "so I've noticed" he replied curtly

"Sorry for barging into your room" she walked towards him, "but you see, I and Kathleen have known each other for long, we've shared everything together"

"I don't think I'm interested in hearing your childhood history"

Tasha smiled demurely, "you're cute you know, I have a gift for you"

Before Derek could respond, she lifted her gown through her head, going completely bared as she licked her lips, she suddenly grabbed Derek, "since she's my best friend, I don't mind sharing with her"

Derek pushed her off him and she fell on the floor, "get the hell out of my sight you bitch! do you know how repulsive you are?

Tasha grabbed him, her eyes going wild, "repulsive? What does Kathleen have that I don't? Am I not beautiful?

Derek scoffed, "don't you dare compare yourself to my wife, you're nothing like her, now get outta here"

"No! Please, I'll do better than Kathleen, I promise you".

Derek grabbed her and dragged her towards the door, opening the door, he pushed her out, completely naked, throwing her clothes after her, Tasha tried to cling to him but she fell and he shut the door to her face. She quickly stood up, grabbing her clothes but before she could take any step, Dave's voice echoed from behind her, "so there you are" his eyes were cold and he smiled humorlessly, sending chills down her spine.

Derek was furious at what Tasha tried to do, he clenched and unclenched his fist, how dare she compare herself with Kathleen, oh, yeah! Kathleen, he should give her a call again to Know what she's up to, he was just about to grab his phone when it started ringing just at that moment, he answered on the second ring, "Hello, am I speaking with Derek Deloux?"

He frowned at the unfamiliar voice, "yes and who's this?

"I'm calling from City refuge hospital, I believe you know a lady called Kathleen by the name"

Derek's heart thudded so hard and his palm grew sweaty, "she's my wife, is she alright"

"She's here in our hospital, I suggest you come here ASAP" with that, Derek held the dialed tone, Kathleen is at the hospital, something must have happened to her, he dropped the call as he ran down the stairs, taking it two at a time.
