Chapter 37: Chapter 37

Ashy's feet were heavy as she entered their house. She could not explain what feelings should have taken over her heart. That was too heavy from that time. She can't help not to cry.

She dreamed of getting married and starting her own family, but not in that way. Time and attention are important to her in a relationship. As much as possible, communication with a couple should not be lost. She was afraid of the situation she would be in.

Is this really the reason why Storm doesn't want her to marry Paul? Was he right in saying that she would not be happy with it? But why? This is what she does not understand.

She slowly opened their door.

When she entered, she saw her mother in the living room and obviously did not expect her to arrive so soon.

"Ohh Ashy, you're already there. I thought you'd be back in the afternoon. It's only one o'clock and its still early.?" Her mother asked.

She did not answer it. Instead, she sat next to her . Then she closed her eyes.

Her mother ignored her because she knew something had happened and she didn't have to ask. She's just not sure what the reason would be but for sure it wasn't that good to talk about.

"Ashy, woild you like to tell me?" Later on, it was a question addressed to the blindfolded Ashy.

She took a deep breath then opened her eyes.

She remained in that position and seems to be thinking so deep.

"Mom, do you think I should continue the wedding? Do you think it's worth it for Paul and me to get married?" She looked at her mother for a moment before she looked back at the ceiling.

"Why do you think something has changed with him? Did he shown any reason for you to decide not to go on with it? Do you think you won't be happy when you marry Paul? Did something happen that you didn't like?" She asked her one question after another.

"Because I can't understand Paul mom, I can't anymore. Yesterday, in our fitting session, he wasn't there. He ordered Storm to accompany me. Is that right? Then earlier when we were together, I found out that he already knew that Storm and I had a past. He knew something but he didn't confirm it to me. I feel like he doesn't care. " she snorted. She complains to her mother like a child fought in the corner.

"Maybe there's an important thing that he should do first. You know Paul. When he have to work, he will really work. He's been like that when you met him. You shouldn't be surprised, "her mother explained.

"Is it just a coincidence, mom? Tomorrow we have a food tasting. He won't be able to come again. Storm is the one he expects to come with me again. I feel like he's making a fool of me. I don't know if we're getting married or not, I feel so ashamed being with Storm all the time, " she rolled her eyes then closed them.

"Do you think it's bad to see if he's proxying Paul? Is it bad in your eyes?" Her mother asked meaningfully.

For her, the answer is yes. Because for her, she shouldn't be with Storm anymore. Besides, they have a past. She is afraid that what she used to feel for him may return even more and she feels that she still loves him.

She wants to avoid him, but what if Paul himself is the reason they have become so close to each other?

"Why, isn't it bad to look at such a situation? My ex-boyfriend is still with me, he's with me preparing my own wedding with his brother?"

"Can't you just be friends? Just think that there's no malice even if you're still together. Unless you have something that you should afraid of, if you've been through something with him. Unless you still love him." Her mother asked her frankly. She stared at her as if studying every corner of her eyes.

"It's impossible for us to be friends. It's a big lie if I say yes. I love Paul and I don't want to hurt him. One more thing, whatever Storm did to me before, that's all. I've buried it in oblivion. anything about us. " she lied.

Of the many liars in the world, she seems to be the leader. When it comes to the truth, she knows that Storm is the one she loves. But she has to stand by her words that Paul is the one she loves because he is the one she will marry and she knows she can't hurt him.

"Marriage is the dream of almost every woman in the world. This is the day when a woman will feel how serious and how much she loves her fiancé. It is sacred and can not be taken lightly. Marriage is not like torture. It is not like rice, that when you get burnt you can spit it out. Instead, you have to swallow it no matter how hot it is. It seems that in marriage, you should stand by it no matter how difficult your situation may be. I hope it helped you a lot." Her mom stood up to prepare a snack for them.

She was left thinking. Based on the way she talked to her, she sees change. She didn't know if it was right for her to just stand for what was right, or if she should follow what would really make her happy.

She just closed her swollen eyes.

She just wants to sleep so that her mind can rest even for a moment.

She stood up straight in her seat and said goodbye to her mother to rest.

Hee mother understood this.

She dropped her body on her bed. She closed it and the only thing on her mind at that time was none other than Storm. Storm that she already loves to tease. The Storm that she narrowly avoids, the Storm that she feels hatred and anger towards.

Storm was his favorite, and he still is!

She fell asleep in the flesh of her mind. She just turned around and noticed that it was already dark outside her room.

She adjusted her bed. Only then did she notice that her mother was knocking on her door.

"Come in,"

"Ashy it's late huh. You seem to have a good night's sleep. You have a visitor." mother's command, then she came out. she also didn't have the opportunity to ask who her guest was because she left immediately.

She just fixed himself and then went down.

Arriving in the living room, she saw Paul. It was obvious from his face that he had an emotional look that she had never seen before.

"What are you doing here? It's late already. You still have a work for tomorrow, don't you?" She asked with a serious expression on her face.

"You know me, don't you? I don't tend to spend a day without getting along. I know I'm wrong, sorry!" he begs. At once, he reached for the flower he was holding.

Ashy just reached for it but she still didn't speak. she barely felt guilt. Not because of what she had said earlier, but because of the fact that she was to blame for Paul because of what happened to her and Storm.

What else could she do but to accept his apology? If she was in his position, he would definitely not tolerate her.

"I'm sorry for anything I said to you before. I'm just shocked and can't help but feel that you're ignoring our marriage. Maybe I was just too emotional, so I did that. I sent the anger I feel towards your brother. " she explained, glancing at him.

"I understand. I'm at fault. I didn't realize that I was neglecting you because of work. I just got used to my brother being there for me. Eversince, he's been the one doing the things I should have been. Because I owe him a lot, I've entrusted you to him, which is wrong because you have a past," he confessed his sin.He took her hand and then kissed her.

Justful question to the boyfriend: "So does that mean you're coming to the food tasting tomorrow?"

Paul touched her chin.

"Yes, I'll accompany you on our appointment. After the food tasting, I'll go to the seminar. I'm resetting the schedule so there won't be any problems."

He smiled before she even noticed that her face cleared at what he said.

"Is my wife to be happy now?" His question still looked at her with a teasing look.

"Of course, I still have to sulk just so you can find a way to be with me. I thought it was your job to whom you get married," she scolded him, but also regained a smile.

"Is that okay? Maybe I've been too busy, so that's why. But don't worry, you're still my top priority, "he hugged her tightly.

She hugged him too. Somehow, she really missed his presence, especially in the office. That's why it's upsetting her because she feels like there's no time for the two of them.

He went with them to confess to their mother. Then he went home immediately to rest.

Ashy is happy that they fixed their misunderstanding. Until when?
