Chapter 28: Chapter 28
A week passed without them meeting in the office. Ashy is also sweet to Paul. She laughs, but rarely because it does a lot. She understands the nature of his work and she must understand it because she will be his wife. She should have trained herself in times when he was not by his side.
As she sat, she barely caught a glimpse of Storm's whereabouts. It's serious about what he's doing and it looks like he has no plans to upset her. It's been a week since they last talked. From then on, he didn't do anything to irritate her.
Later a woman came in.
"Goodmorning, can I come in? I mean, can I go see your boss? " she asked with her eyebrows raised and stared at her from head to toe.
"Do you have an appointment, ma'am?" She asked, just looking at her.
"Do I need it? Well, I don't think I need an appointment. I'm Mayi. He's expecting me." It is a solid answer.
If she could just scold it, she would have done it. She has no choice but to go to Storm to say he has a visitor.
"Sir, someone is looking for you. There seems to be a name, Mayi." He looked at her.
He looked at her for a moment and looked at the watch in his hands as if he was waiting for something.
"Let her in," was his economical response, and he put his actions aside.
She came out of his office.
"You're in, ma'am," she said, sparingly smiling at the woman.
"I told you." Arrogant, she smile at her.
She just ignored it and then sat in her chair. Even though she didn't want to look where she was, her eyes still hit them. She saw how they would shelter inside the office.
Sje felt a sudden annoyance with Storm. She still knew something, but he was flirting with a woman. He didn't even know which continent the woman came from.
Wait! Why is she so annoyed? After all, she wouldn't have cared about any other woman he flirted with. It came from her herself that she had nothing to expect from him. If she is going to marry his brother why does she seem to feel pain when she sees Storm with another woman?
She just looked back at them. She tried not to look at them even though she would have loved to do so. She closes her eyes when she thinks about what they are doing.
Later, it came out.
"Ashy, please just leave the ones I need to sign on my desk. I need to leave." He commands her to look at his companion, and they still smile.
"Okay sir," she sparingly replied.
The two left and Jem was right on her way to her.
She followed the gaze of the two, while her friend's eyes widened at what she saw. Obviously she would throw queries again.
"Sissy, what's that? I mean the one with Storm?" She frowned as she sat down in front of her and laid down the papers she was carrying.
"You're crazy too, aren't you? You've already them, but you haven't asked. You really asked me, what do I know there?" It is an explosive answer.
"They're sweet. The woman is beautiful, tall and white. It's just that she looks artistic and poor." She looked at her as if trying to figure out how to react.
"She belongs." She replied that she was still looking at the documents she was holding.
"You're so mean to her. Why is that Storm like that? Isn't he?" He's defending it.
"His family. His mother, you know how poor he is, don't you? It's a good thing Paul didn't adopt their mom's attitude.." she recovered from it.
Eventually, she thought of his boyfriend again. How is it so? How was he doing? He hasn't called to update yet.
"Hey! What's floating? Day dreaming? No one to talk to?" She even gestured with her hands to announce that it was in front of her.
"I just thought of something," she sighed.
"What?"
"Paul, he hasn't called yet. I'm worried about him when he doesn't feel like this. You know that. It's normal to be busy, but the whole day when you don't feel like anything else. It's all early still. " she looked at her.
"Is that really it or is there jealousy building in your brain? You're thinking that maybe at these times, maybe he's with someone else. Because you saw Storm with that beautiful slut ohh sorry. You think maybe he's doing the same thing now. Is it true that it runs in the family? You know just a little bit, I'll believe you respect Paul. " The friend smiled at hee as if teasing her again.
"What are you doing? I really love him. Is there any need to doubt that? Will I marry him if I don't?" She stood up to place the documents on Storm's table.
"When Storm wasn't there, maybe I could believe that you really loved him, but when Storm came, my belief changed. I'm sorry, huh? I know I pushed you to see Paul. I thought he wouldn't come back,Storm to make it clear. If I only knew that his wife was dead, I might have put you on the railing so that no one could approach you. " Jem's facial expression was joking but serious as she said those words.
Ashy just laughed at what the friend said. She knew it. Even if she looks crazy, it is easy to feel guilt when she knows that other people are suffering because of what she is doing.
"What are you? Don't blame yourself. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe there's a reason why Paul and I actually met. Maybe it's because he's the man for me. Maybe Storm suddenly appeared because he wanted to test us, of the time whether we should get married or not. " she will make excuses so that the friend will not be guilty.
"What if you shouldn't get married sissy? What if Storm appears to inform you, God, that Paul isn't the man for you?Can you accept that? Can you handle your fate?" Jem asked her friend meaningfully.
Ashy was shocked by the friend's question. She didn't expect her to ask her that. She looked at hee before speaking. Honestly, she gets hurt every time she faces Storm. She can't explain where her pain is coming from and if the duration will go away.
"I don't know. I don't know if I can. I don't know if I can think that I can hurt other people just to be happy. I never thought I would get to the point where I had to sacrifice my own happiness. It's just so that others can't step on it. Anyway, what's new there? I'm the one who gives, I'm always the one who sacrifices. " shee sighed and then looked at her friend.
Jem held her hands seriously. Hold on, if possible, she won't let go again.
"Why don't you try to let go of how you feel, Ash? Why don't you try to follow what makes you happy? Why don't you try to put aside the feelings of others? Try to be happy." She smiled at her to reduce the weight she was carrying.
"Do you think my conscience can make me happy if I know someone is hurting? Especially if that person has done nothing but love me and respect me wholeheartedly. Nothing too much, nothing too little. If you are in my situation Jem, can you handle it? " This important question to her friend will be ignored.
"I can't answer that because I'm not in your situation. But if I were you, I would choose to be true to myself and to the person I love. I would choose to hurt him only once rather than hurt him forever over and over. Sometimes the pain is intense but you can forget. At the very least, you can save Ash's trust. But the pain you feel over and over again is different. It will destroy your heart as well as your trust, which is the hardest to build. " Explanation by a friend.
There is a point to this.
"There's still no reason for me to do that. Storm and I have been done for a long time. As you can see, he's happy with his life. That's right and it looks like he's already dated, right? So I don't have a problem because Paul and I will continue our marriage. I know he loves me and I love him." She took a firm stand in front of her friend.
"At least you're right. The storm seems to have given up. I just hope he doesn't get to the point where he teases you again." The friend stood up.
It's lunchbreak too and they don't even know the time.
As they were about to go out to eat, they saw Storm approaching and the woman he had earlier with him.
"Ash, I'm leaving. You take care of it first. I'll see you guys tomorrow." He said at the same time that his female companion was close to his waist, even though the leech was able to rub it against him.
