Chapter 20: Chapter 20

Hours passed, day months, years... Ashy and Paul had a happy relationship. They had nothing to consider dull moments. She can't remember that they had a fight during the two years they had been in a relationship. During those two years, nothing happened to them. They never tried making love and that was boring. It's not like Storm back then, it was just the first time, there was one right away.

She was impressed with the intensity of the respect Paul gave her even when a friend often tempted him. Sje adore him in a way that he knows how to give respect in all things that he do.

"So what's up?" One day they were eating because they had a lunch break and it happened that Paul was in an out of town meeting.

"What's the matter?" Ashy was stunned as she ate the food.

"My God, until now nothing? You know, sissy. I'm already wondering about our boss, really! I'm afraid and I didn't know that he's also numb. " It gaped as it looked at her, holding the fork in her left hand.

"Stupid right away? Isn't that he just really respect me and he wanted our relationship to be preserved?" She raised her eyebrows to emphasize the word respect.

"I'm just wondering, you're not ugly. So far, nothing has happened as a result of the strength of your sex appeal.? Maybe later you'll find out that he's roaming around. That he's with somebody else, huh?" She rolled her eyes before drinking water.

"You know Paul won't do that to me, sissy. He's just too busy, infact it doesn't matter if something happened to us or not, as long as we love each other, that's it." He answers her.

In fact, her friend had a point, but she didn't want to put any malice on her relationship with Paul, especially since they were already in love and she didn't notice anything different from him. When they are together, no one calls who is suspicious, nor is there a woman who is suspicious in their office.

"You're the only one who can cheer him up, sissy. Maybe he's just embarrassed, " she covered her mouth after speaking.

"Are you really going to do it? When you're talking about it, what's going on in your brain? If I were you, just admit it." She was right to hit it.

She felt ashamed because those who ate there might have heard her and wondered what else they might have thought of her.

After they ate, they went straight to their seats.

Ashy was surprised to see Paul sitting inside his office.

He came out with the flower.

She was even shocked when the petals fell inside the office that she did not know where they came from. Simultaneously with the fall of a cloth on which is written ....

HON, WILL YOU BE MY WIFE?

Ashy burst into tears at what she read. She looked at Paul, who was obviously in tears as well. That's why Jem had been forcing her to eat at a restaurant farther away. Because someone was waiting for her inside.

"They're waiting," Paul said as he approached her and knelt in front of her, waiting for her response.

"Yes," she sparingly replied while hugging him.

She can't even explain what she felt that time. She didn't expect that would happen so fast.

Paul put the engagement ring on her finger and he hugged her again and kissed her forehead.

The whole company witnessed that day. Her mother, who was obviously one of Paul's accomplices, was also there.

She is happy because she finally knows where her life is going. Soon she will have a family of her own. A family that will build her personality and a family that she will never leave.

That day ended with everyone happy.

One day, Paul visited her with Jem. They decided to talk to the coordinator of their upcoming wedding.

"Hon, are you sure? I mean, you can change your mind. I'm not in a hurry either. I know how busy you are and I do understamd that really." Ashy excused herself. She felt pressure but didn't show it.

"That's it, that is what I'm afraid of.. Maybe one day you'll suddenly change your mind. That's what I'm scared of hon, "he said jokingly while holding both of her cheeks.

"Shhhhh ... you two are right. It's better that we go so we can finish something. You sissy, don't deny it. " she pulled her friend out of the door. Paul just laughed as he followed them.

They even approached the coordinator for the wedding. Ashy was stunned by the brochure being shown to her. For the price of shoes, a home can be built with its price. She wanted to back off, but Paul noticed her immediately.

"Hon, it's better that you choose the design you want. Oh, maybe you have your own design in your mind that you can share with Ms. Morales so she knows what to do. That would be better but the price will remain as it is." He said just in case she will look for something cheaper.

Instead of answering, she whispered to him.

"Hon, are you sure about them? I know you can afford it, I have no doubts with that. I feel like I'm drowning while wearing them." She refused to look at Paul.

"There's nothing I can't do for the woman I love. Even the most expensive one you choose, there is no problem. " he smiled at her.

"My Gosh, I'm going to marry you too. This is how it feels when I get married. Paul, don't you have a twin? Please, take me to him..." she pretended to put her palm together.

"Stop it Jem. We're embarrassed." Ashy just glared at her friend.

The friend just kept quiet and secretly laughed that Paul just smiled.

After talking to the coordinator, they ate before going home.

After he delivered Jem, Paul also took her to their house. He noticed it was a bit anxious, as if someone wanted to say something.

"Hon, are you okay? You've been restless for a while. Is there a problem?" She asked and touched his shoulder.

"Nothing hon, I just thought, you and your mom are totally together. Why don't you just stay at home so we can take good care of our wedding? I promised I'll behave. " He said this while waiting for her answer.

"Hon, you know, mom won't allow it. We're not married yet. Isn't it ugly to see if we live together in the same house before we're married? What will our friends and acquaintances say? We have a house and we will stay there untill were married." She answers lovingly.

She had a point and she just wouldn't let her mother do what Paul wanted either. Somehow, she was delicate.

"I was just thinking, hon. Because if there's ever something important to talk about, we'll be there right away. There's no need to travel, right?"

"I understand, hon, it's just that it's not really possible and mom really won't allow it." Repeating it.

One just kept quiet and focused on driving.

They just kept quiet while in the car. Ashy couldn't understand if it was mad at her or sulking.

"Hon, are you okay? You suddenly fell silent. Are you mad? " she grabbed his hand that was on the steering wheel of the car.

Instead of answering, you touched his cheek.

All he said was, "I love you." That's all he said. Just look at the road again.

Ashy just chose to be quiet and wait for him to speak first, but he didn't say a word until he got to their house.

Before she got out of the car, he kissed her first. She felt that he was not happy with what they had talked about.

At least there is no real difference. She used to feel that it was always avoided when it came to things related to even deeper than kissing. But she admires it because he has a lot of respect for her.

"Get in, then I'll leave." He smiled at her then kissed her on the forehead.

"All right, just go..I'll come in when you're gone. I'm sorry, really? I know you understand me." She touched his hands.

"You don't have to worry about me, I'm fine. I'm just thinking about being a husband. I can't wait to see you walking in the aisle wearing your wedding gown. I love you that much, hon. I will make you the happiest girl ever. " He kissed her on the cheeks like a friend.

"Thank you hon. I can't wait to be your wife. " She smiled and leaned her head on her boyfriend's shoulder.

He let go of his hand and then got into his car. He previewed it before operating the vehicle.

After Paul left, Ashy immediately entered their house, dropped herself onto the chair and closed her eyes. It's only a few months and she's getting married. Did she make the right decision? Is it right for her to marry Paul even though she doesn't love him that much? Will she be in silence or will her life become more chaotic? She just closed her eyes again to erase the bad things that were forming in her mind. As much as possible, she does not want to think negatively and wants only the positive to dominate her mind. She did not know how to do it.
