Chapter 1625: Chapter 1625
1625: Chapter 1621: Gift 1625: Chapter 1621: Gift The Joker performed at the center of the stage, surrounded by a sea of jubilant spectators.
Whether it was the performers or the audience, it seemed everyone was receiving pleasure….Lu Ping’an hadn’t expected that a casual stroll would lead him to witness such a grand play.
“….Tsk tsk tsk, it really is quite ironic.”
Lu Ping’an didn’t find the fate of this Your Highness surprising at all, as he had seen too many traitors and worshippers of Evil Gods; he didn’t even think that her betrayal and the downfall of this Island Country were directly connected.
The collapse and subjugation of an entire Kingdom are fundamentally only probable due to an absolute gap in power; the traitors are often just part of this inevitable outcome, and to blame the entire world’s collapse on them might be giving them too much credit.
They are often just cowards and traitors who realize the situation is grim; they have neither faith nor loyalty, they are the result, not the cause, of failure.
Of course, there are very rare exceptions since history is also filled with chances and accidents, but the one before him is truly the quintessential Joker.
“Tsk tsk tsk, wetting your pants, really is quite an ugly sight.
You know that others see you as a clown, and others know as well, this kind of pleasure in watching you perform, is, in fact, the reason for your downfall, isn’t it.”
Lu Ping’an even saw the “Wisdom” Blessing hanging over the Princess’s head, clearly, this Quasi-God Level Creature with a taste for cruelty wanted its toy to be interesting, at least aware of its own predicament, to create more variety in its play.
It probably cannot directly kill her due to the contract but can gather more amusement in the process.
“This is nothing, the ancient ones all have many ways of amusement that you haven’t even thought of…..”
Lu Ping’an sighed at the Fishman Leader’s cruel amusement and wild fantasies, while Chris disdained it; in the circles of Quasi-Gods and Evil Gods, making traitors perform like dogs in the most ridiculous ways was just an all too familiar routine.
Chris had also once been an Evil God of an Exotic Realm, with numerous ways to bypass contracts and agreements…..in fact, on the trail, she had already concluded that the Princess had betrayed and the outcome would be quite tragic.
“Women of high status and power, you just need to promise them youth, and they make for the best targets for contracts, just show them your strength and a bright future, and it’s quite easy to fill their empty souls…but in reality, allowing an ordinary Life to return to youth without worries is nearly equivalent to reversing a life form’s growth cycle, the cost is simply too high, it is not worth it at all.”
Because the promise cannot be achieved, there was also no intention to keep the contract from the start.
Lu Ping’an sighed, contracts between the Weaker and the Strong, the so-called “fair and equivalent contracts,” are like documents soaked in water, easily completely torn apart with a little force.
“This architecture, it seems a bit familiar.”
This Lord is of no low status, and even Lu Ping’an finds the occupied architecture somewhat familiar.
It appears, before its destruction, to have been a circular hall, where everyone watched the performance in the center from the periphery.
“Parliament…Tsk, hanging the head of state from the roof, and then under the watchful eyes of the public, toying with the Royal Family in the nation’s seat of power, is truly the work of an old stager of the stage.”
It seems, Big Cat quite appreciates the cruel amusement of this Fishman Quasi-God.
And Lu Ping’an also sighed, but not for the scene in front of him….what happens to this country is no longer important, he came not to save anyone.
“Indeed, that ‘Kusanagi Sword’ is so weak…”
The target of Lu Ping’an’s trip, the replicas of the Kusanagi Sword, had been found by the Fishmen, now casually stuck in some legislator’s desk.
And not just one, but a whole four.
“…..Although Decree-level Weapons are not considered weak, as a national treasure, uh, it’s a bit embarrassing.”
“As expected, if they really were that powerful, if there were Rule-level Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Do you think the advanced combat power of Sakura Island would let the Royal Family possess them?
They are merely ceremonial weapons, something for the bodyguards to hold for show.”
Lu Ping’an was getting a bit annoyed; he had already received the order to prepare for retreat, as there was no longer any significance to remaining on the island—Eastern Country had no intention to continue draining its living military forces here.
If it were a lone strong man, he could naturally leave later, but Lu Ping’an’s status was special, and he probably wouldn’t be able to stay here for much longer.
And this search only yielded a few Decree-level weapons?
Lu Ping’an felt it was rather embarrassing and a waste of time.
What Lu Ping’an was referring to were those betrayers, which in a sense, was a form of release for them.
Not being up to it was one aspect, but more importantly, Lu Ping’an didn’t want to.
Looking at the Fishman Leader not far away, Lu Ping’an estimated it was a Quasi-God, and he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to defeat it…
Even being an eighth-tier, Lu Ping’an still felt it would be very difficult.
Lu Ping’an’s Ability Attribute was too special; to utilize his combat power, he needed to establish a stance, to change the battlefield.
Looking solely at individual confrontations, he probably counted as the weaker side among the high-tier.
Considering the Undying-nature of high-tier creatures, sneak attacks and assassinations were pretty much meaningless.
Once a fight broke out…..the scene would be too big, and if his intelligence was leaked, he would most likely be hunted down by the Quasi-Gods.
Lu Ping’an looked at the Fishman Legion before him, most of whom were Middle-High Tier Transcendents.
This ocean had already filtered out most of the Weaker and Mortals, and along with it, the legions surrounding these high-tier lords, became fewer in number but higher in quality.
When Lu Ping’an spotted two Rule-level beings, he became even more displeased….
Really, was he supposed to just walk away after watching?
Even if he took out those “prisoners,” it wouldn’t really mean anything, right?
“…You’re not practicing foolishly, you’re from the Life system, not the Combat Series.
Why do you want to compete directly in combat power?
We have our own way of fighting.”
Chris’s words reminded Lu Ping’an.
He wasn’t powerless; he just hadn’t thought of it yet.
Lu Ping’an took out some “specimens,” which were harvested from the Poison Sea, as well as the “mud” from the sick Fishmen.
They were not incapable of damaging the powerhouses before him.
In fact, if they couldn’t survive it, they would either be lying at home or done for, but now they had been overcome.
These viruses, Parasites, were also Life forms.
So, Lu Ping’an’s “Investment (Biological reprogramming)” could not only make them mutate and evolve again but also “Demonize” them.
Before Demonization, the damage probably only reached some ordinary people who were not Extraordinary, but after becoming demonized, it turned into Extraordinary viruses and Parasites, and the Middle-High Tier Transcendents before him would likely suffer severe damage.
Of course, demonized Life forms tend to be short-lived and cannot stable transmit genetically, and their high variability isn’t stable enough…
but Lu Ping’an really didn’t care anymore.
Looking at the delivery “train,” Lu Ping’an sighed.
He quietly walked in, and as expected, there was no difference from what he anticipated; it was a scene he had seen before in that unredeemable Secret Realm, a dining car filled with fresh.
This was also to be expected….
If the outsiders needed local humans to act as servants and fodder, then perhaps the Joker’s idea might have been realized.
But now, they were just Beasts craving clean food; there was no possibility of negotiation from the beginning.
They, these visitors from the Exotic Realm, did not come to conquer.
It was destined that only the annihilation of one side could put an end to all of this.
So, Lu Ping’an silently added a little something to the meal….
He didn’t know what effect this mutated “Super Demonization Virus/Parasites” would have, but isn’t this unknown the most interesting part?
