Chapter 1292: Chapter 1292

1292: Chapter 1278: Guiding 1292: Chapter 1278: Guiding “Eat a little more…”

Lu looked at the tree that blotted out the sky, sensing its endless “desire to grow,” while sharing in its joy.

Now, this Sun Tree, also the Mother Tree of the Lamp Flower gene, was one of the cores of Lu Ping’an’s current plan.

The “ritual” that Big Cat brought out seemed very familiar to the ear and the eye…

“Isn’t this the ‘Meeting God’ ritual?”

It was the most widely spread and useful God-level ritual, which lower-level Believers used to have audiences with Divine Envoys or even Deities.

Sacrificial offerings, symbols, and “God Statues” were the basics, while the incanted spells were the key to unlocking the door.

When all conditions were met, Believers could “meet” their Deity.

“This is also something that Evil Gods use quite often…”

Evil Gods from Exotic Realms and local Quasi-Gods often used this ritual for various purposes, manipulating things from behind the scenes.

The principle is to target a “God Statue,” present offerings, and establish “communication” with the target.

Put in terms that are easier to understand, it’s a complete process of “dialing a specific phone number,” “paying the phone bill,” and “starting a video/phone call.”

Lu Ping’an himself was only a Quasi-rule; even for him, using this ritual was a bit of a stretch.

The most difficult problem to overcome was that he was not a Deity and lacked a God Statue to direct the thoughts (faith).

That thing, like the Divine Power Crystal Big Cat had obtained, was a special Creation with the essential traits of its power.

But perhaps it was a rare stroke of luck or favor of destiny that his power, his Lamp Flower gene, had already spread all over the world.

“With your current abilities, achieving it in one step is unrealistic.

So, you can take it in stages.

You can create a ‘Divine Envoy’ to act as an ‘operator,’ which can establish connections between Mortals and Divine Envoys, and then you connect to the Divine Envoy…”

Big Cat really is the director of a cult, with all sorts of messy cheating methods up his sleeve.

This is actually the standard way of transmission for “Evil Gods.” Deities/Quasi-Gods entrust their power and authority to spokespersons and Divine Envoys, who then pass it down the line, tier by tier.

Not only does this increase efficiency as the number of personnel increases, but it also lowers the risk…

If a part is captured, just cut off its connection to its superiors.

With this old stager of an Evil God, a “Divine Envoy” doesn’t necessarily need to be an Intelligent creature, just a “middleman” as a transmitter would suffice.

“Divine Envoys typically start from the seventh-tier because they have to manage the upstream and downstream of Divine Power and be able to enact the Deity’s ‘rules’; this is fundamental…”

Thus, according to this theory, as long as the “intermediate station” meets the seventh-tier standard, the superior Deity doesn’t even need to be stronger…

In fact, many seventh-tier “Fake Gods” act as their own Divine Envoys, using various media to transmit their power and mislead their adversaries’ pursuit – it has become a common tactic for them.

“…So, Redemption reaching Rule-level strength can also act as a ‘relay station,’ and as a Magic Plant, its Advancement is directly linked to its gene, which doesn’t require many resources.”

Cultivating Magic Plants was not a difficult task for Lu Ping’an – someone who had mastered biological programming…

especially since Bloodvine itself was already of a high tier, only minor adjustments were left.

Of course, a “Rule-level Demon” and a “Rule-level professional” were not comparable at all; it was merely a matter of energy level, and they might not even have their own “rules.”

Clearly, this was also exploiting a loophole in the rules…

but Big Cat was indeed an old hand in that regard.

Even so, turning Redemption into a Rule-level Magic Plant took up quite a bit of Lu Ping’an’s resources (and points).

The success was also attributed to using the traits of Bloodvine (Infinite Contamination Devour) and Fusang Tree (enough nutrients for infinite growth).

The targeted cultivation of modular genes was a technical task, and Lu Ping’an spent a lot of time adjusting.

Finally, after absorbing the pollution of an entire city, it achieved Advancement and became the signal tower that Lu Ping’an had set up in Salt City.

The lucky ones were linked to the “Mother Tree” through “Lamp Flower,” which then directed them to Lu Ping’an’s “Divine Kingdom.” It was the standard process for Believers entering the Divine Kingdom.

And now, Lu Ping’an was also conducting experiments.

677 signed Contract 3, but broke the oath six days later.

Do they completely lack the concept in this area?”

“Add some fantasies about oath breakers being punished?

Let’s start by testing ten individuals from number 700….”

“689 and 690 are a couple who both got their Professions, then the man dumped the woman, and they ended up fighting….

The woman was arrested by the enforcers while holding a severed head, what should we do about that?”

“Wait, didn’t the Watchers intervene in time?”

“They started fighting during their intimate time in the middle of the night, probably too late to stop them….”

All sorts of bizarre incidents kept occurring, some good, some bad, some too preposterous to describe, and some so trivially boring that even the Watchers couldn’t be bothered to report them.

The range of the current Mother Tree is extremely limited; at least, it’s not enough to meet the demands of Lu Ping’an’s design.

However, the infinite problems that emerged during the “internal test” became a source of constant headache for him.

Some were technical issues, leaving Lu Ping’an, who had a “Rule-level” server, too busy and frazzled to cope, but still, problems kept cropping up, leaving him so exhausted from the overtime work that he felt sick.

But more often, the issues were “societal.”

Giving a gun to an adult is one thing, but giving one to a child….

Someone with an immature mind might, in a fit of anger, commit a massacre, even for a reason as absurd as, “Mom gave my brother a more expensive gift, so I’m pissed and want to kill my entire family.”

Lu Ping’an did consider imposing age restrictions, but due to this world’s unique circumstances, most of the New generation are “adults” who are “under ten years old”….

And even those “adults,” considering the absurd average educational attainment where being born is equivalent to graduating from school, weren’t expected to have reliable rationality or emotional intelligence.

In a situation where “reason and morality” couldn’t be preached, Lu Ping’an had no choice but to “talk about systems.”

He tried to introduce all sorts of “contracts” to forcibly control the scope of their abilities, but the results, to say the least, were quite subtle.

He implemented bait strategies, changing the message from “do something and cause something” to “do something and you’ll get something” as an incentive system.

The approach worked well, but Lu Ping’an soon realized that he couldn’t afford its cost.

Yet, too formidable rewards ended up causing more strife and turbulence.

Working and experimenting, the path of “education” that seemed most likely to yield results was still to proceed through multiple approaches simultaneously: restrictions, contracts, rewards, education, and subtle guidance.

If nothing went wrong in the early stages, and they came to understand the value of life and developed proper sets of morals, they at least wouldn’t turn out too crooked as they grew up.

But what about moving forward?

“That’s no longer my problem, but an issue of social mores….”

The career path chosen by a professional dictates his journey in life, but the path choices of most professionals could form the mainstream values and lifestyle.

Being in society, whether actively or passively, one would naturally become assimilated by the society’s core values.

This wasn’t something Lu Ping’an could interfere with, but he could tweak the development direction of the entire professional society from the very beginning—the “nurturing of saplings.”

“At least initially, infuse more legal spirit and moral bottom lines….”

Lu Ping’an himself was so busy and overwhelmed that ideological matters were genuinely difficult to enforce.

They needed not only to be impressive but also to have a genuine positive guiding effect.

What was most difficult, however, was to resonate with the hearts of the educated, for them to truly accept and adopt the theory.

Merely being a copyist of Earth’s knowledge, Lu Ping’an repeatedly hit the wall.

He found that as a foreigner, he was culturally different from the locals, unable to reach an emotional resonance or moral consensus with them.

After all, merely the local “habit” of “tossing the children out to fend for themselves after they start walking” was something Lu Ping’an couldn’t accept.

And moral codes based on Earth seemed far too “noble” and detached from “mundane human concerns” when applied to this world.

You don’t know what the locals like?

Have you gone dumb, meow?

You can copy the ‘Mentor Theory’, meow?

Isn’t that already very popular with the locals, meow?”

Big Cat’s sudden inspiration provided him with seemingly reliable guidance.

As it turned out, the attempt that Lu Ping’an had little hope for, turned out to be effective!
