Chapter 1214: Chapter 1214
INT. ABANDONED HOSPITAL – SECTOR 6 – NIGHT
Rain pounded on the broken windows as lightning revealed the crumbling sign: "St. Ellora Medical – Quarantine Ward." Lena, Briggs, and the Girl stood at the entrance, soaked and shivering.
Briggs held the blood-stained chip Dr. Hale had given them.
"We hide here for the night. Just until the storm clears."
Inside, the hospital reeked of bleach, rust, and something fouler. Distant groans echoed from darkened corridors.
INT. HOSPITAL – ROOM 14 – MOMENTS LATER
They barricaded themselves inside a patient room. It was quiet… too quiet. A metal bed lay twisted in the corner. The overhead light buzzed dimly on backup power.
"This place doesn't feel right."
The Girl sat cross-legged on the floor, tracing patterns in the dust. Her eyes fixated on a crack in the wall.
"This room remembers."
Lena stiffened. Briggs rolled his eyes, trying to rest against the wall. Then—a whisper.
"Room Fourteen… never forgets…"
FLASHBACK VISION – THE PAST (THE GIRL'S MIND)
A screaming patient tied to the bed. Nurses crying. Doctors in hazmat suits. A man injected with a glowing green serum—"Stitch." Then: convulsions. Blood from the eyes. Screams cut short. A mirror shattered by a clawed hand.
INT. ROOM 14 – PRESENT
BRIGGS (grabbing his head):
The walls began to pulse faintly. The Girl's nose bled. The mirror on the far wall cracked by itself.
BANG. Something pounded on the hallway door.
"We're not alone in this hospital."
Suddenly, the door flung open.
The corridor stretched like an endless tunnel, filled with flickering lights. Lena raised her knife. Briggs had his last bullet.
INT. HOSPITAL – LOWER CORRIDORS – MOMENTS LATER
They passed isolation chambers. Inside: cryogenic pods, some shattered, some still humming. One held a human-child hybrid floating in dark fluid—alive, twitching.
They reached a locked steel door labeled:
ROOM 14 - DO NOT ENTER - SCRUBBED.
Briggs turned to Lena, confused.
"We're already in Room 14...?"
"No. We're in its shadow."
Suddenly, alarms blared.
A voice over intercom:
"Patient 14 breach. Containment failure."
The floor shook. Glass broke behind them. A figure emerged from the original Room 14—a stitched man, patchworked from limbs, glowing green in his veins.
INT. EMERGENCY STAIRWELL – NIGHT
They fled up the stairs as the creature chased them, its hands scraping sparks from the walls. Briggs pushed a fire extinguisher down the steps—it exploded, knocking the thing back.
EXT. HOSPITAL ROOFTOP – NIGHT
They burst into the rain, gasping for air. Sirens echoed far below. The Girl looked down.
"More are coming. They know we're alive."
Lena clutched the chip tighter.
Room 14 was behind them.
But something much worse had been awakened.
