Chapter 51: Chapter 51
Chapter 51 Existing Boyfriend and Ex-Boyfriend
Dana was caught off guard.
Walker had to ask her to leave since she was not polite.
It was a warm but nice ambiance in Progress City. Dana was in a good mood today and went straight to the mall for shopping smiling happily. She wore a simple white chiffon shirt with sky blue high-waisted jeans. Her black silky hair is simply tied in a ponytail, even without makeup, she's visibly beautiful.
After she arrives at the mall and entered, the first thing on her list is to visit her favorite boutique.
She was greeted by the clerks nicely and immediately offered the new arrive dress in the upper cupboard. All the staff there knew her as the regular customer that's she was treated like a VIP by the clerks. Dana and the sales lady talked more about the dress and she asked the sales lady to take it down for her to try.
When the lady handed her the dress, Dana was stopped in her tracks when she heard a female voice echoed from behind.
"Bring me that skirt." Lily took Tim's hand confidently and smiled widely.
When she heard the voice, her expression faded. Dana sighed and informed the lady that she'll come back later. She immediately picked up her bag and turned around to leave.
"Dana?" Lily didn't seem to expect her to be there. "Why are you here? Shouldn't you have gone to work by now?"
Lily had an interview with her that day and she passed but not Lily. Lily was even demolished in public.
"I heard that Situation Corporation is a very busy and huge company. If you don't go to work this morning and just wander at the mall to shoplift. You might get fired"
"I was kicked out on the first day, right?" Dana rolled her eyes and sighed. "I'll just leave."
Lily laughed then she turned sideways and made a weird please-gesture with a wink "Please~"
Dana's eyebrows almost meet due to disgust. She took a step to leave but Lily suddenly stretched out her foot towards her. However, Dana reacted immediately and stepped over her foot. Her slender arm stretched out and directly clasped Lily's arm.
Lily screamed in pain that caught all the other shoppers and clerk's attention. " Dana! What are you doing?! Let me go!"
Dana clutched her arm tightly and smirked. Dana's strength is not feeble, her nails are piercing through her skin and it started to turn red. Lily wept loudly attempting to catch the attention of others more.
"Dana, let her go!" Tim, on the other side, looked at her sternly and ordered Dana.
"Lily..." Dana looked directly at Lily's eyes that made her shiver. "Have you forgotten that you already used the same drama to deal with me once?" There was a cold weak smile on the corner of her lips while her eyes are piercing through Lily's.
"Do you think everyone in the world is stupid as you? If I fall once with your ridiculous and pity trap, will I fall for the second time?"
Lily only felt the pain of her sharp nails piercing her skin. "Let go of me! Let me go... Ah... Tim! Help me!" She pleaded and tears welled up her eyes. Tim couldn't bear it anymore and went straight to Dana forcing her to remove her hand at Lily's arms. Then he dragged Dana away from lily. This drag took almost his strength.
Tim accidentally folded Dana's wrist without realizing it as he tried to push her away from Lily. Dana heard the squeaking sound of something broken and her face turned pale, she felt pain rushed through her whole arms but she didn't scream.
Lily, who was free, rushed to them and slap Dana on her left cheek.
"What the fuck." Dana scoffed and held her cheek.
Lily immediately threw herself at Tim's arms and held his arms. "Tim, it hurts." She cried and he patted her back while glaring at Dana, who was composing herself.
Dana stumbled and almost lost consciousness but she picked herself up immediately. She faintly laughed, enduring the severe pain on her wrist.
"What gives you the right to slap me?" she pointed at Lily and laughed a little. "Also, if it wasn't for this woman pulling those petty tricks on me, I would have left already. After all, seeing your faces makes me barf" After that, she turned around to leave and never look back.
When Dana returned to Silver beach, it was already night. She thought that Walker must've gone out and sighed. This day was too tiring for her to endure.
She pushed the door open, feeling exhausted. How come even this house seems so cold to me?
She lifted her gaze and saw a tall figure of a man in front of her. "Did you go to the mall?"
Dana lowered her eyes and gave a faint "um" and nodded. Walker is dressed in a business suit. She thought he must've just returned from work.
His eyes examined the drained Dana and stopped his gaze at her wrist. "After shopping for the whole day, you didn't buy anything?"
She nodded then gave another "um"
Walker stared at her for a second and sighed. "Wash your hands and get ready to eat."
"That, teacher..." Dana interrupted "I... I have eaten already."
"Then, eat again," he said in a monotone.
"But..." Dana was about to blurt out but remembered her wrist. She immediately hid her right wrist behind her and looked at Walker if he noticed.
Earlier that morning, Tim clutched her wrist with seems like all his strength deliberately folded her wrist. It was really painful for her that her face turned white. All afternoon, her wrist was so hot and sore. She realized that her wrist was completely swollen, like a bun.
This demeanor didn't escape in the eyes of Walker. He walked towards her that makes her nervous. "Why...what are you doing--."
Walker held Dana's arms and looked at her swollen wrist. She wailed in pain as he touched her wrist. He stared at her it and his face suddenly became gloomy.
"How did your wrist get all swollen like this?"
"Fell, I fell. When I went down on the stairs, I accidentally tripped and fell and I used my wrist to protect myself."
She didn't know that lying to him will make her feel guilty. Although she didn't want to let him know what happened.
"Go over there and sit down."
"Oh. Okay." Dana nodded obediently and sighed. She sat on a sofa silently praying and thanking him that he didn't pry.
After a while, Walker walked towards her with an ice bag. He slowly bends his body and kneeled in front of her.
"How long have you been injured?"
Dana looked at the man kneeling in front of her in disbelief. He put the ice bag on her swollen wrist and gently tap it.
"This... This morning."
"Then what did you do in the afternoon?" Walker raised his pair of icy eyes and looked at her.
"I..." Dana's heart began to beat wildly and her arms were trembling. 'What should I say? I can't say that I was in a bad mood and I sat by the riverside for an entire afternoon, right?'
"I... just walk around looking for more shops, and then..."
"Then it doesn't matter if your hand is like this?" he said coldly.
Dana couldn't answer and kept her head hung low. Her eyelids drooped and she plucked her lips. Walker looked at her and stood up from the ground again.
"Take it." Gesturing her to take the ice bag.
"Oh." Dana took the ice pack and nodded slightly.
"Apply ice for half an hour. I have to call someone"
"Oh. Alright," Dana held the icepack in one hand and quietly apply it to her swollen wrist.
Walker turned around and entered his room. She didn't know what he'll do and it made her anxious. She was stopped when heard the door closed with a loud bang.
She went quiet and made no move, trying to listen to Walker making a phone call. She furrowed her eyebrows because she couldn't make out what the other person on the other line was trying to say.
"Check where Dana went this morning."
Her heart thumped and her eyes widen. 'What is he trying to do?'
Walker and the other person on the line talked a little more for a few minutes. She was silently praying that they won't check the surveillance camera of the shop she went to. 'Of course, they won't find anything, don't they? The mall won't allow it'
A few minutes passed and it was all just silent until a muffled noise came from his room.
[ Boss Herbert, I have sent an email, please check it. ]
Walker looked at the text message, then turned on his computer staring at the email blankly. On the mailbox is a surveillance video in a boutique.
The man leaned back in his chair and silently watched the video.
Sure enough, it didn't take long for a girl in a white shirt and jeans to appear in the camera. She first entered a clothing store, and not long after, Tim and Lily also appeared.
Walker's eyes became gloomy and he clenched his fist. He sighed and propped his elbow on the armrest, his right hand propped his chin.
After a while, he saw Lily preparing to trip her, and then Dana warned her.
He once again clenched his fist as he saw Tim pull Dana by her wrist. The strength was very cruel at first glance, Dana staggered and backed away twice, the blood on her face suddenly turned pale.
The man looked at the screen, and his eyes flashed cold instantly.
