Chapter 206: Chapter 206
Chapter 207
At that exact moment, at the end of the corridor, a long white shadow appeared and swayed leisurely.
Hussey Collins did not know how long the woman had been standing there quietly. The woman had her arms crossed at the moment as she leaned against the wall lazily.
Those who were unfamiliar with her naturally do not know who she was. But Hussey, who was the woman's best friend, recognized her at first glance.
Hussey shouted, "Dana!"
Instantly, Hussey, who had just showed a cold, arrogant and domineering temperament, instantly, became a carefree woman from the past.
Although Dana Roosevelt had changed a lot now, and even though she was wearing a large pair of sunglasses that only showed her eyebrows, lips, and pointed chin, Hussey still recognizes her at a glance.
Everyone looked in Dana's direction, and Alicia Kather's face turned pale in an instant. She asked weakly, "Dana?"
Even Harper Brown was in disbelief.
And as she looked at this woman in front of her, it was as if she was watching a nightmare that had become a reality.
Three years had passed, and she thought that Dana would never come back again. Ever since Walker had an accident that day and had an amnesia, Harper had been by Walker's side and had taken good care of him.
She had also conspired with Walker's parents and had pretended as Walker's fiancée.
Therefore, Alicia, Meredith Herbert, Harper, and all the people on and off the business villa, had connived and concealed the truth from Walker. As a result, the memory-deficient Walker no longer repelled her as much as before, and she dutifully stayed with him for three years.
But today, she did not expect that Dana would suddenly come back.
This made Harper wonder if today the time for all their lies was to get exposed.
Harper was almost trembling with fear as she looked at the woman who was supposed to be Dana. Although she expected to see Dana, the woman somewhat did not look like Dana. Instead, the woman looked so different from Dana that she could remember.
The woman's body was taller, her muscles were tight, and she completely had a supermodel body.
As Dana stepped on high heels that was nine centimeters in height, her long white skirt hung loose on her legs beautifully, and her high-tied ponytail looked fashionable and energetic.
Dana chuckled lightly, and she took off her sunglasses to reveal her increasingly delicate features.
Then Dana exclaimed, "Mr. Herbert, long time no see."
These words were definitely addressed to Walker Herbert.
Everyone else present at the moment gasped.
In Dana's eyes, there was a broken smile and a trace of ridicule and cool irony. She just smiled so well and leisurely. But compared to her emotional richness, her expression was more indifferent.
After some time, Alicia and Harper finally came back to their senses.
Alicia became completely calm and she dared to say, "Walker, now that everyone else is here, the wedding can finally start, right?"
As Alicia looked at Walker, her nails were almost sinking into her flesh as she clenched her fists. It was as if the person who would get married this time was not Walker but herself. Alicia valued herself more than anyone else, and she was more nervous than anyone else.
Harper was also in tears as she tried to say, "Walker..."
Harper looked pitifully as tears started dripping down her face. Then she continued to tell Walker, "Have you forgotten about our promise? Have you forgotten about the past three years that I have stayed with you in that hospital bed, and how I stayed with you day by day to take care of you so much? Have you forgotten how pleasant it was for us to get along all these day and night?"
After Harper had said those words, she cried silently and stretched out her hand to pull at Walker's sleeve.
Harper had also said those words in a weak tone and a pitiful way, just like in a drama scene. But she was subtle and she moved with affection. She was also particularly gentle.
And those words that she said intentionally or unintentionally, made their way to Dana's heart, too.
As Dana listened to Harper's words, it was as if she could imagine those three years Walker was in a hospital bed, and the countless days and nights Harper must have spent just to get along with Walker.
And as Dana heard Harper mentioned about what Walker had promised, and as she looked at Harper's wedding dress now, she remembered how she never had a wedding with Walker because there was no time.
Dana smiled with her most enchanting smile, and she began to say, "Miss Harper." Then she held her sunglasses between her fingers, and she walked towards Harper and Walker step by step.
Meanwhile, Harper who became more nervous, stepped in front of Walker and asked Dana defiantly, "What are you doing?"
Dana just smiled at her lightly with her head up and red lips curled up. Then Dana told her, "It's nothing. I just want to remind you that crying with makeup could get ugly."
And with that, Dana handed Harper a facial tissue.
Harper could see how Dana's nails had been carefully painted. She could tell at a first glance that Dana's hands were definitely pampered. Like she had never done some household chores entirely. Dana was using crystal nails that had been carefully designed in a pampering salon.
Harper was in a trance for a while as she looked at Dana's hands and finger nails.
Then all of a sudden, she directly tapped Dana's hand and knocked off the tissue in her hand. She shouted uncontrollably, "I don't need you to care!"
Because of Harper's slap, Dana's delicate white hand turned red.
Dana's brows were slightly twisted, and the atmosphere around her suddenly became colder.
When Hussey Collins saw the way Harper had been rampant, she was the first to go crazy and she exclaimed, "What the hell did you do?"
Even Freya Mason, who had been by Dana's side, took her phone directly and prepared to call a lawyer.
Alicia's eyes were quick, and she immediately saw that something terribly wrong was about to happen. And she did not want for this wedding to be troubled.
Alicia quickly asked Freya, "What are you doing?"
Freya, who was a woman about 35 years old, with short hair and super high IQ, and who was very capable, answered curtly, "Calling a lawyer."
Harper asked her in return, "Why would you call a lawyer?"
While she was holding her mobile phone with one hand and waiting for her call to get connected, Freya held out Dana's hand and placed it in front of them as she replied, "You just hit our Vicky's hand. In the United States, Jennifer Lopez had her hair insured for 50 million U.S. dollars. It just so happened that we also did the same thing and insured Vicky's hand for 20 million U.S. dollars. And now that you have ruined her hand, isn't it natural for us to call for our lawyer?"
Alicia was furious but a little frightened when she heard that. Meanwhile, Meredith showed contempt and he sneered. Then he said sarcastically, "Well, a little actress dared to make a scene at my son's wedding? Security! Get these people out of here!"
Because Meredith had faced different adversities in business before, he knew what to do in such situation wherein he thought a woman was taking the opportunity to swindle money from them.
Dana didn't actually want to care about it. But because she felt oppressed, a rebellious spirit in her bones rushed up.
Dana just said nothing to Meredith. But she dialed a series of number, and the moment her call got connected, she unscrupulously said in front of everyone, "Hello? Mr. Favila? Yes, it's me, Vicky."
Dana, who still looked cold now, talked in a voice that suddenly became sweet and very polite. As she casually tapped her high heels on the floor, she talked over the phone, "Well, I am in your hotel now. I heard that today is Walker Herbert's wedding, right?"
Because the corridor was fairly quiet, even the voice from the other end of the line could be clearly heard by everyone's ears on the spot.
The man called President Favila laughed on the phone and he said, "Yes! Why are you here, Vicky? Well, since you are here, I will come right now! Vicky, you finally called me! You have no idea how you had made me wait so much!"
The voice of the man on the end of the line sounded like a man who was over fifty years old.
And this man was the owner of this five-star hotel, and a well-known real estate businessman in the country.
He had coveted Vicky's beauty for a long time, but Vicky did not even bother to give him time in the past.
With a wry smile on her face, Dana told him, "What? Are you coming now? You know what, I used to be a student of Walker. And I really admire him. Can I stay here and watch his wedding?"
When Meredith heard her statement, his face quickly turned red in anger.
But President Favila replied on the other end of the line, "Well, if you like to, then go ahead! Since you said you will be at the wedding, I will arrange the VIP seat in the first row for you! Vicky, where are you now? Are you there already?"
Dana sneered at her phone, but she still replied in a gentle and sweet voice, "I am here already. But can you please tell the security of your hotel to recognize me and not kick me out?"
At that point, Meredith's aura became more gloomy.
And with that temperament of Meredith, everyone presents had subconsciously stepped back. Even Freya, who had always been strong-willed, pulled Dana's sleeves subconsciously so she could take her away in that scene.
But Dana just smiled as if she didn't mind at all. As if she was as fearless as she could be.
Dana finally said over the phone, "Okay, thank you very much, President Favila!" Then she hung up.
Immediately after, Dana raised her eyes and she looked at Meredith who was in front of her with dazzling eyes.
Meanwhile, Meredith just stared at her, with eyes as sharp as a blade, as if he wanted to slash her off. Meredith sneered and stepped forward. Then he looked down at Dana condescendingly and asked her, "Vicky, right?"
Dana bowed her head to show respect.
Meredith told her, "Don't ever think that just because you have a little fame now, you can come and play a boring confrontation game with me. Who is your enemy? And what do you want to prove?"
Except for Freya, everyone else on the scene knew the grievances of the past. Meredith glanced at Freya who was behind Dana, then he glanced at Dana's young and beautiful face. Then, he lowered his voice so that only he and Dana could hear his words, "I remember you with the foreground ink, and you still have some bargaining chips. Now, Walker has completely forgotten about you. Vicky, for businessmen like us, you will never even be worthy of us!"
After he had finished speaking, the last few words he uttered sounded cold-blooded and merciless.
Dana's face suddenly sank, and she did not say anything. But the blood in her whole body turned half cold.
Soon, Meredith turned around contemptuously to leave. And without turning his head back, he walked past Dana.
Meanwhile, there was no expression on Dana's face. And no one knew what she was thinking.
But as soon as Meredith left, Dana raised her eyes inadvertently. She gazed at Walker, who stood in front of her, two meters away.
She looked at him in a cold and indifferent manner.
And as she did, she could feel a sharp stab in her heart.
She was completely silent.
For the first time after being separated for three years, she and Walker had finally met again.
Dana's heart was in chaos in an instant, and her eyes fluttered uncontrollably. But in the next second, she pulled her lips and smiled before she said in a cold voice, "Mr. Herbert..."
Then she took out a necklace from her pocket.
She continued to say, "You gave this necklace to me when you proposed to me before. And if you want to marry another woman today, then I want to give it back to you now."
And with that said, Dana opened her palms.
