Anya's Point of View
"Wake up, Mommy! Wake up!" I heard the little voice said. I slowly opened and squinted when the light hits my face. I rubbed my bleary eyes and looked around me.
"Where am I?" I asked the girl in front of me, who was smiling widely.
"Who are you?" I asked her once more. She did not answer my questions. Instead, she bends down a little and kissed me on the cheek. I smiled, the sweetness and the beauty of this child.
"I love you, Mommy," she said and giggled. Mommy? Why did he call me Mommy? She stood up and started walking away from me. I panicked and tried to reach her put, but I couldn't. Something was pulling me.
"W-wait!" I called her, but she suddenly disappeared.
--
"Hey, Miss. Wake up!" a deep male voice said. I slowly open my eyes and looked around the room. Where am I? Is this the pack of the two wolves earlier? This is probably their clinic as well. I looked at the man sitting to one side.
"What happened?" I asked him weakly and tried to get up.
"You passed out earlier in the forest," he replied. "May I ask you a question?" he added. I just nodded my head as an answer.
"By the way, my name is Allan, and I am the Alpha of this pack. What's your name?" my eyes widened at what he said. He's an Alpha!
"I'm Anya, sir," I said and immediately bowed my head as a sign of respect.
"Hey, no need to do that. I just want to know what the name of your pack is," Allan asked me. I remained bowed, holding back tears from my eyes. Marcus' infidelity came to my mind again.
"I-Uhm. Dark Hound," I answered in a small voice.
"So, why are you here?" he asked once more. I clutched the blanket tightly.
"I r-ran away," I slowly told him. The tears I had been holding back were completely streaming down my eyes.
"Why did you run away? Don't you know that it will put you and your unborn child in danger?" he said, which made my eyes widened in surprise. I looked at him momentarily, then my glance went to my stomach and touched it.
I'm pregnant? I'm pregnant with his child. Oh god! How will I handle this without him? Wh--
"Calm down, Anya. We can do this," my wolf interrupted, sensing my anxiety. She's nervous and happy at the same time, knowing we're carrying a baby, yet sadness, pain, loneliness, and betrayal are visible in her voice. It's the same feeling that I feel.
"Hey, are you okay? You're pale," Alpha Allan worriedly asked.
"I'm okay. I-I'm sorry, but I can't go back to his pack," I answered. I don't want to see Marcus right now. "Don't worry; I'll l-leave. Thanks for t-taking care of me, Alpha Allan," I said as I try to stand up. I was about to fall, but Alpha Allan quickly helped me.
"No, stay here in my pack," he said while holding my hand. "I'm not telling you to leave. It's dangerous out there. You and the unborn child might be in danger," he told me. I felt relieved because, honestly, I hadn't thought of a place to go when I ran away, but I can't accept Allan's offer. I'll just become a hindrance to them like I was in Dark Hound. I don't want to be in Blue Moon because I know he will find me there immediately.
"Thank you for your kindness Alpha Allan, but I can't accept that. You have helped me too much because you did not leave me unconscious," I told him.
"I insist, Anya. Stay here until you give birth," Alpha Allan said. I let out a sob and squeeze his hand. I did not know that someone would accept someone like me.
"What's wrong? Are you in pain? I'll call the pack doctor, just tell me," he asked me worriedly.
"No, no. I'm okay, Alpha. I'm just so happy," I said to him and smiled. "Thank you very much, thank you!" I told him. He smiled at me, showing his dimples. Alpha Allan is handsome; his body is well built. Toned chest, strong jaws, and he also had a pair of gray eyes.
"Just rest here, okay? I'll just send you food," he said to me. He left the room, and I was left alone. I took a deep breath and looked at the emptiness, comforting myself with the silence. I touched my belly again.
"We can do this, baby; we can handle it," I whispered. "I'm sorry because I can't give you a whole and happy family. Your daddy doesn't want me, baby," I added and wiped the tears in my eyes.
"Baby, even if daddy isn't here, mommy is with you. I will not leave you," I said while rubbing my belly. "Remember, I love you so much, my child. I will give you everything," I added, wishing that happy days will arrive soon.
