Chapter 92: Chapter 92
"Let's call Steven here," Bailey announced and Tucker looked around, gulping and sweating in this cold weather.
"What if he has the nudes and he leaks them when he finds out that we are confronting him?" He made sense, he stared blankly in the eyes of Bailey, it was weird the way they look at each other.
"I saw the video," I uttered to Bailey, she frowned and watched my face to understand what did I see in the video.
Tucker pulled his phone out of his pocket and showed it to her.
"Doesn't the video look edited, there are too many cuts." She questioned, and noticed it more keenly. Obviously, I was too scared to focus on everything in my mind, but she was pretty good with investigations.
"What do you mean? My mother knows nothing about editing." Tucker hurriedly defended his mother.
Who gave you the video?" She inquired, handing him his phone back, but not wanting to look at his face.
"My mother did." he whispered, but he looked confused too, "It is weird," he uttered to himself.
"What is?" Bailey questioned,
"In the beginning, she acted as she had clicked them, but later that night when the pictures were gone and she told me that Steven took them, she blamed it all on Steven. She showed me this video and it--," he ran his hand through his hair.
"She edited it," Bailey confirmed,
"So there are no pictures?" I asked, hoping for good news.
"There are pictures, but Steven didn't take them, but yes, they are with him as we speak." Bailey declared and pain struck me again.
"If he said he will burn them, he might have." Tucker interrupted, but his posture has been shaking. "What did my mother do to you?" he kept his eyes down and asked Bailey. Even if Steven wasn't the one to click them, he still worked with Ivory and didn't tell me a thing, he even kissed her and lied to me.
Bailey told Tucker everything about his mother and his body began to shiver.
"She loves me, right?" he inquired, watching our faces. The answer can break your heart when you ask others if a person loves you instead of knowing it in your heart.
No answer from us almost killed Tucker. He lowered his head and groaned in pain and betrayal.
"He loved me right?" I uttered to myself, how can Steven hide so much from me? At this point, it was all over the place, I had no idea who was telling the truth but he had the pictures.
"Maybe Ivory was in on this plan with her mother," Bailey whispered in my ear, she was trying hard to keep me from hurting but there was no point in lying to myself.
"We should talk to Steven," Bailey repeated, I gave a faded nod and stayed silent.
I looked at Tucker, who was acting weird, his body was shivering and his eyes keep wandering on the ground.
"Did she kill my father?" he asked himself, reality was hitting him hard, it felt like the blindfold over his eyes has finally been taken off but it was too late.
"She has been drugging you Tuck!" I held his hand and sat with him on the bench while Bailey called Steven from my phone, she didn't tell him what was the emergency.
"W--," he watched my face and tears formed in his eyes, "she always said I was her favorite." he smiled weakly, "She raised me like a monster and then expected everyone to love me." he uttered, "when Bailey left me, she said Bailey never liked me. She would always tell me that I am imperfect and only a mother will love her imperfect child. I loved you since I was very young, but she would tell me that you hated me Giselle and that bullying you might make you fall for me and it actually worked, you began to notice me." It was true that I noticed him, but not because of bullying, "I hated my father because she told me that he wants me dead." he tilted his face and mumbled in confusion.
"She is imperfect, she wanted to marry my father, which is weird to say now but she never wanted any of her children or this life." the words coming from my mouth made a tear to escape from Tucker's eyes.
"So she too never wanted me?" he inquired, his eyes pouring tears. The way he looked at me broke my heart.
"I will go and bring a blanket," Bailey murmured to us, eyeing me to watch Tucker because his body was trembling and beginning to turn pale.
"Tucker!" I held his face in my hands and made him focus on me, "we can still make things right," I spoke to him.
"But I am too broken to be mended now." He shivered as he stated that, he feared no one will ever love him for what he has become and it was too late for him to change himself.
"Don't pretend to be someone, show them how you are and who you are, and trust me," I halted, feeling his tears in my palms. I can't take it anymore, he needs me. I looked at his lips and closed my eyes, crashing our lips together. His cold body stopped shivering the instant I kissed him. He, very gently, held my back and pulled me closer. It was our first kiss together, I can feel his heart beating louder and his body acting normal now.
I broke the kiss, but rested my forehead on his and we breathed heavily. Happiness can be felt from his breaths too, the moment felt like he had wanted me for too long but his mother ruined everything for him.
I slowly looked to the side and there he was, Steven stood by our side, watching us in utter shock.
