Chapter 57: Chapter 57
I heard him coming after me, but I kept ignoring his calls, I reached the parking and tried to get in the car, even when I wasn't going to drive I don't know what I was thinking, but then the next thing I knew was Tucker grabs my arm and pushing me on the car bonnet. It all happened in such a haste that I was too shaken to understand what was going on. He pulled himself on me, my hands on the bonnet as I fought to get up, but his body has drowned me under him completely.
"Tucker!" I tried to yell, but he wrapped his hand on my mouth and put his other hand on my stomach, pulling me up so that I can stand along with him. I was moving uncontrollably, but he was too strong for me to get out of.
"Shhhh!" he whispered in my ear and I received chills down my spine, my movement suddenly stopped when he removed his hand off my mouth and dragged me towards the car. Someone was standing behind us; I can tell there was another person beside us. Opening the door, he pushed me inside and got inside. The other person slipped inside of the driver's seat and now that I can clearly see the person, it was Ken Weller.
"What are you doing?" I said through gasps, trying to free my hands of his grip. Ken began driving the car to God knows where while Tucker didn't let go of my hands for a single second. I had no idea what was he planning to do, but I was terrified for my life. My heart was racing in my chest; I didn't see myself going through what possibly he was planning to do.
"Just a few more minutes," Tucker muttered, looking out of the window, his hands had started to leave bruises on my wrists now.
"Please don't--," I couldn't take it anymore, it was hard to act strongly now. I was crying and sobbing while it seemed like he didn't care at all. He looked at me and his smile faded away.
"Don't cry," he uttered in his mouth, there was awkward eye contact between us for a moment before Ken announced that we have reached the destination. All of a sudden, Tucker released me from his grip and I found a perfect time to open the door and exit the car in haste but my proceeding steps halted when I saw where I was. I was standing on the same hill Tucker has taken for the first date, but this time, it was even more beautiful than before.
I looked at Tucker and then at Ken, they both had a smile on their faces. Tucker's smile faded away when a tear sprung down my eyes. It was all nice and romantic, but he freaking dragged me here, and especially when I was already going through pain, we just had an argument a few minutes ago.
"I know you are mad at me, and you should be but I have planned this just for you." Tucker quickly approached me but I stepped back. His grip had left bruises on my wrist, my heart was still beating loudly. Fine, he decided to prank me before giving me this surprise, but he still hadn't answered me why he had hidden our relationship from his friends.
"This is not the answer to my questions," I stated, ken scoffed at my confidence, he had always seen me scared and crying, this version of me was never brought to his vision.
"I am going to answer every question." Tucker tilted his head to me and eyed me to sit with him. Ken started walking away, but only to halt at my voice.
"And what have you told him about us?" I sarcastically muttered, folding my arms on my chest. Ken watched my face and then looked at Tucker, kind of a look telling Tucker that his attention has made me stubborn, he probably thought Tucker was spoiling me.
"He knows we are dating; all my close friends do." Tucker rolled his eyes at my sarcasm and smiled again, "I am not a villain Giselle." He stated and sadness covered his face.
Ken gestured to Tucker that he was leaving and soon he was out of our sights.
"Drop me home," I commanded, not even looking at his face.
"Please let me explain everything Giselle, please," he met his palm together and bowed down on his knees, I quickly grabbed his arms and prevented him from doing so. He doesn't have to beg me, all he has to do is to be nice, caring, and show me the love I wanted to see.
"Fine," I mumbled and sat on the chair, he followed.
"My closest friends know, just those who I know will not tell my father." Tucker mumbled, his eyes formed tears in them, "He will never accept it, and if he finds it out, he will send you away Giselle." He made tight fists of his hands and glared at the floor angrily. I can see his veins popping out in rage and hate, "he always sends away people or things that I love the most. He loves to see me in pain." He muttered in his mouth and a tear slipped down his cheek. "Then he will tell you to leave me, and you will leave me because I am a mess. You will go with someone who can keep you happy, who is not scared of his father, but I am a loser, my father controls me." He zoned out, his body was here, but in his head, it felt like he was standing in front of his father, telling him how he feels.
"Tucker?" I called his name and grabbed his head, he startled at the touch and shivered.
"Mom, I didn't do anything." He babbled and gulped, watching my face with questionable eyes, there was weird fear in them, but he was talking about Uncle Ben, then why did he act like Lauren was here? Why did he act like he had to persuade his mother that he hasn't done anything wrong?
"It is fine Tucker; we will find a way to persuade Uncle Ben." I didn't want to stress him out more, because the guy next to me was not Tucker anymore, it was a scared little child. I got up and bent down to him, "I am with you, I don't want anyone else." I stated and slowly put my lips on his forehead, he was burning with fever.
