Vanessa's POV

"Good morning, Vanessa" It has been two days since I moved into Richard's luxurious apartment that was gracious enough to have a jacuzzi and a swimming pool just at the backyard of the house. The. Inner view was stunning. It left me speechless after I saw the house for the first time.

"Hope your night was perfect?" I looked at him weirdly before dropping my bag on the table that was in the kitchen.

"More like you wish I died in my sleep, right?" He placed the coffee mug that was in his hand on the table and shrugged.

"I'm not that evil, Vanessa"

"Says the man who manipulated me into signing a contract and still use every opportunity he gets to blame me for signing the stupid contract" I knew bringing up that topic will cause n early morning ruckus but I needed him to know that I will always be angry at him.

"Are we going down that lane this morning? It's Monday for Christ sake Vanessa and even though you behaved as if I didn't exist throughout the whole weekend, can't we just be civil towards each other for the time being?" He appealed,

"Whatever sails your boat, Prince Charming. Not like I care about you being civil or bring a vagabond like you always are" He remained silent and I knew he was trying as much as possible to avoid an argument.

"Coffee?"

"I work where they make them. I'm on my way to work and I'll be a little bit late because I'll have to check out some apartments on the way back and when we get back, we'll have to discuss some chores that I'll be helping around with, I can't stay here for free"

"Yes, you can" he replied.

"No, I won't Richard. Because one day, you,l still remind me of how I stayed in your place without paying a penny"

"That's likely, you're right because I'm not the gracious. But with your condition, I can't let you work here, it's too dangerous for the child so just relax and we'll work something out later. About the house, I've looked into some apartments for you and we can see them together later.

"You what?"

"I looked for apartments" Not because I didn't hear the first time but because I was stunned and angry.

"You don't have to do things like that for me. Yes, I know you're rich but I don't need your help, I'm not a charity case" I didn't wait for his reply, I left the apartment.

On getting to work, I met only Micheal waiting at one of the tables, with no other workers around.

"You're my favorite employee, you know that right?" I smiled at him and he opened his arms for a hug.

I needed it so I moved closer to give him a hug.

"Hope you're fine? Richard told me about what happened"

"How?"

"Well I went to your apartment on Sunday to return the bracelet you left in my car and I didn't meet anyone there, so I called your number and It was Richard who picked up so he explained everything" What! Richard did what?

"I'm fine, thank you for asking. All I have to do is look for another apartment and I'll do that later after work"

"I'll help you with that. And you can ask Richard for the bracelet, We met up and he took it from me" I'm not asking him, I'm killing him and frying him.

I nodded and he left for his office, not long after the rest turned up and the day was hectic.

After work, I went house hunting with my new boss, AKA, hot and sexy, AKA, Micheal and after looking into four houses in my previous street, three in a neighboring area, I just couldn't find the perfect one and some were too expensive for my budget. Even though Micheal asked to help, I had to decline, this was my battle that I had to fight alone.

Micheal later dropped me off at the apartment around seven and when I entered I saw Richard looking at me with thunder on his face.

"I though you said you were going on a house hunting spree not Micheal snuggling spree" I closed my eyes for a moment out of frustration.

"He helped me to look for an apartment"

"And you declined my offer"

"You don't get it, do you? You didn't ask, you went ahead to look for the house without asking for my own preferences and you expect me to follow you like a puppy. Impossible!" I declared

"That doesn't explain the explain the fact that you went with your boss"

"Well, That doesn't explain the fact that you picked up my call behind my back and stop acting like my boyfriend, it doesn't suit you" I left him standing again.
