Chapter 33: Chapter 33

Twaine's Point of View :

"Good morning!" Kyle greeted us warmly as he left his room.

"Good morning too, Daddy!" Alexandria greeted him back. It's Sunday now, so, I am not in the Hospital. I woke up early to prepare breakfast for Kyle and A.M.

Ever since we came back here from the Philippines, my work schedule has always been busy. I don't even have time to take care of my daughter, it's really good and Kyle is here to watch over and take or pick up our daughter to school.

"Good morning," I also smiled and greeted Kyle. The day he decided to come with us here in Canada, not everything went easy. I've been adjusting being with him. It's because I'm not used to it, maybe because I've been used to it for almost six years—without him.

"By the way, your flight is already tomorrow, have you fixed your belongings?" I asked him while I was busy putting food on his plate. I stopped after he held my hand.

"I want to take you home with our daughter." His eyes were talking as he looked at me.

"I have a job here, Kyle, and to tell you this, we haven't gotten back together yet. Yes, I agreed for you to live here with us because you insisted and so that you could be with our daughter." I said at length and it made him frowning.

"What's wrong with me, Twaine?" I did not answer his question. Instead of continuing the conversation I changed it. I admit, I still love him but I'm still scared.

"Let's just eat, Kyle." I said.

While eating, I just stared at A.M who was enjoying her foods. My gaze shifted from my daughter to Kyle.

Should I give him another chance? But what if I just get hurt, again? I don't know—yet.

After we ate I was left in the kitchen to put away our food and wash. While Kyle and our daughter were having fun playing together.

While I was busy washing the dishes I couldn’t help but shudder at the thought of the three of us together.

"Mommy, come on! Let's play!" I was surprised when A.M suddenly pulled me closer to his Dad.

"Mommy, do you love, Daddy Kyle?" I was dumbfounded by my daughter's question. Wait, is this really my daughter? Where did she get this question?

"Mom, I'm asking you?" A.M. repeated frowning.

"Why did you asked, Baby?" I asked her a gentle question

"I just wanted to know, Mom, is that a bad thing?" What the! Is she really Alexandria Maine, my daughter?

"No," I said.

"You don't love, Daddy Kyle?" She seemed to be tearing up asking me that question.

"No, I mean, knowing if I love your Dad isn't a bad thing." I explained. I glared at Kyle after I caught him holding back a laugh in the other corner.

"So, do you love Daddy?" I looked at Kyle first who also seemed to be waiting for an answer from me.

"Is it okay if I whisper the answer to you, Baby?" She thought for a while then agreed as well.

"Of course, I love your Dad." I whispered to her.

"Yes! I knew it, Mom! Yes, Daddy! Mommy loves you!" She screams as she runs closer to her Dad. I just rubbed my forehead after what she did. What else did I whisper to her for? If she just shouts at his Dad, what my answer is?

"Hey, you two, come back here!" I yell at them after they run away from me.

The next day, I woke up early to prepare breakfast for Kyle, now that he was on his flight home to the Philippines. I also prepared for my entry into work.

"Daddy, please don't leave us?" A.M almost begged his Dad. I felt sadness and pity for my daughter. Somehow, she also got used to being with his Daddy.

"Baby, I'll be back as soon as possible, okay? So, don't worry." Kyle explained to her with a smile.

"But still I don't want you to leave Daddy, please?" she's still pleading to her Dad.

"Baby, did you hear your Dad, right? He'll be back." I explained to my daughter because of her meanness, she wouldn't really stop stopping her Dad from his leaving.

"When?" she asked.

"A month after?" Kyle's answer was uncertain.

"But that was too long!" She growled.

"Alexandria!" I calls her name.

"Fine!" She shouted and started crying before running back to her room.

"Look! Why did you train her?" I asked Kyle angrily.

"Make sure you'll come back! Your daughter will remember what you've promised,"

"Also, why does it take another month before you can come back?" I kept asking questions.

"Twaine, if you don't want me to leave just say it." he said laughing.

"Ha! And who said I don't want you to leave, huh?" I said irritated.

"You're acting like a mad wife." he said laughing, so I looked at him again.

"I'm doing this for my daughter, did you see that? She doesn't want you to leave!"

"I'll be back." he said softly before hugging me.

"Will you miss me?" he asked.

"No." I denied.

"Okay." he answered.

"Yes! I will miss you too, of course, are you happy?" I said angrily.

"Of course." he replied smiling and tightened his embrace to me even more.
