Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Twaine's Point of View :

I am currently sitting here in one of our university bleachers while waiting for my two friends. Jeremy and Ana. They were called to the Dean's office for a while.

"Thinking of me?" A familiar voice spoke from behind me.

Wait, what it is again? Thinking of him?

"Wow! What a courage of yours! Are you that handsome?" I said sarcastically while clapping.

He just replied with a laugh.

"What do you need?" I asked him raising my eyebrows. But instead of answering me he just shrugged. He's nice to talk to guys, promise.

"I just want to accompany my angel." I looked at him when he suddenly spoke.

"Your angel?" I repeated.

"Yes, I miss her every day." He said while looking into the distance.

"Oh, then why are you here next to me?" I keep asking him. He said he wanted to accompany his angel but I was the one he's bothering.

"Because she's here." He answered while still looking into the distance. I frowned and looked at him again.

"Where? Is she there?" I asked after I looked around.

"Psh," he just said.

"You're weird." I said while staring at him.

He has this cold aura. He is also a serious person. Brown is the color of his eyes. He has a pointed nose and a pinkish lips. Ash-gray was the color of his hair. His hair was so long that a few strands of it are covering his face and eyes. He looks like Leonardo DiCarpio. In short, he's handsome.

"Weird?" He laughed.

"Why do you always showed up whenever I'm alone?" I seriously asked him.

"Maybe, because I just want to be with you?" See? He's really something! He's not even sure with his answer to my question.

"You know what? You're good talking with," I said sarcastically. He's really annoying.

He, then again, started laughing—it was a fake laughter.

"I don't want you to be alone." He suddenly said again, I got surprised to what he'd said.

"Why? Why do you care about me?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Nothing," he sparingly replied.

"You have no reason. Then, why don't you want me to be alone?" I asked him.

"Anyone probably doesn't want to see somebody being alone, right?" He said meaningfully.

"I'm waiting for my friends, I'm not alone." I clarified to him.

He never spoke again. He just remained sitting next to me while still staring into somewhere else. It was as if he was in a deep thought. I couldn't help but be curious about him.

'Who are you Clyde?'

"Twaine, we're here!" Ana actively opened up to me while Jeremy quietly followed her, still making a fuss.

"Opss, who is he?" He pointed to Clyde who was now leaning against the tree next to where we were sitting. He seems to be asleep. His eyes were narrowed as if he were asleep.

"Ah, he's nothing. Let's go." I immediately stood up and walked ahead of the two of them. I haven't woken Clyde yet, we're still not that close.

"Hey Twaine, why are you with Clyde?" Look at this woman, earlier she's asking who was with me, but it seems that she already knew him.

"You know him?" I asked her.

"Of course, who doesn't know him? He's Alexander Clyde Hartfield! Twaine, he's the heir of this University!" She said.

"Me, I don't know him." Ana's eyes widened because of what I said.

"Are you serious?" Her questioning eyes widened.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" I asked her back.

"You two, stop gossiping." Jeremy scolded us. I just kept quiet. While Ana continued the storytelling.

"Do you know that he had a lot of admirers here?" Ana added.

"No." I answered her directly.

"But Clyde who has never been liked anybody from his admirers. He hasn't even gotten a girlfriend yet. That's why the woman who will become his girlfriend will be so lucky. Apart from being very handsome and rich, he's also loyal." She seems thrilled while telling me about Clyde's story.

Even though I wasn't interested in Clyde, I still listened to Ana's story.

"He's loyal because imagine, his childhood sweetheart got married and everything, but still he loves her dearly? His girl was so lucky, indeed! I hope it's me. I'm jealous of that mysterious girl that he loves." Full of jealousy, Ana said. I just raised my eyebrows while still listening to her.

"Clyde grew up in America and then he was surprised because when he came back home the woman he loved was already married to his uncle. Isn't it sad?" She was convincing me. It was as if Ana was going to cry while telling Clyde's biography.

"Angel, that's what he calls the mysterious girl he loves the most." She ends her story.

Because of the last thing Ana said about Angel, Clyde's mysterious girl, I suddenly remembered what he said earlier.

"I just want to accompany my angel."

"I miss her every day."

I became more and more fascinated with that Clyde. Who is the 'Angel' he was talking about earlier?

"Angel? Maybe his mysterious girl is dead? I suddenly replied to Ana.

"You're crazy! How come she's dead? Clyde said that his girl was studying here too—that's why he's here."

"Wait, how did you find out what you're talking about? You're really good at gossip, huh?" I told her.

"He's in the school newspaper, girl! Of course as the heir of H.U, Clyde's story is a feature!" She struggled to explain.

"Ah ok." I just said. I don't care about Clyde, even if he suddenly appears in front of me.

"You're not really interested in Clyde, huh?" She said.

"I am not. But I'm interested with Kyle—only at him." I said while laughing. Ana just glared at me.

Clyde! Clyde! Clyde!

Why are you so mysterious?

Mind, Mind, Mind!

Why are you curious about that man? Can you, let that man go?

I should only think of Kyle. Speaking of him. I picked up my cellphone and dialed his number.

[Hello, wifey, yeah. I'm outside of your University. Come out now. I love you! ]

He greeted me after he answered my call. I came out of school smiling and I found him waiting for me there.
