Chapter 48: Chapter 48
Raymond rolled his eyes, approaching Levin. 'I know. Just making sure that the girl is okay while she is getting outside.’
'I'll give you five minutes.'
'I know. You don't need to dictate me,’ said Raymond.
The man allowed him to take Amanda away. His eyes darted out of the room, nervous that he did not find Edward and Lucas there. Where were the two people?
‘Brother?’
He lowered his head, watching Amanda's face, which looked anxious. The girl seemed to be worried about his condition, even though his own body was still shaking violently.
'I am fine. You better get out now. Lucas and Edward are coming to pick you up. 'Raymond pushed the gir’l’s body away from the room, closing it quickly before the girl could ask further what he was saying, then returned to face the four men.
'Already completed?' Levin tilted his head, folded his hands in front of his chest, which was clearly visible because he was not wearing his top.
'Yes.'
Raymond walked over to the man, stuck his hands into his jacket pockets while holding his dagger. Using a gesture of his head as a gesture, Levin told the three men to grab hold of him, forcing him to pull his hands out of his jacket pockets. One of them gripped his left shoulder tightly until the wound opened again. He ignored the pain, detached himself from the three people. He kicked the man's leg on his left until he heard the sound of a shin breaking, then hit the man's stomach with his elbow until his body was blown away from Raymond. He hit the man on his right on the head, crushing the man's nose bone until blood came out of the man's nose, releasing his hand from the man. He spun around before his strength recovered, punched him in the cheek and kicked him repeatedly until the man could no longer move. And finally, he stepped on the feet of the man behind him, pulled out a gun under his jacket and shot him in the head. Then shot the two people who were about to attack him, killing them instantly. He turned around, turned back to face Levin, who clapped his hands enthusiastically, pointing the gun at Levin's forehead. Staring hard at the old man.
'This is the end of the game.' Raymond pulled the trigger, preparing to shoot the man at any time. 'From the start, I didn't intend—'
'Arnold Walter.'
His body froze. His hand that was holding the gun began to tremble as the man called out his late friend's name, dropping the gun on the floor.
'Oh, it's true. He is indeed the reason you came here. You don’t accept your friend's death. Even after his case is closed.’
'Shut up ...'
'I am right. Well, now, can you still kill me like my men earlier? ' Levin laughed. The man quickly walked over to him, pulling Raymond's body with all his might until he hit the bed. His shoulders throbbed again, making him grimace. The man took off the jacket Raymond was wearing while he could not move an inch. The memory of Arnold's death spun again. His panic attacks began to appear.
'Just scared now? Didn't you confidently say you didn't want to follow my game? ' Levin whispered near his ear, then kissed Raymond on the lips. The old man's lips moved down his neck, marking his body, disgusted him to death. With all his might he tried to get away from Levin but in vain. His body would not move. 'Too bad. Though Arnold definitely doesn't want you to investigate his death. His struggle to protect you is in vain. Right?'
He spat in Levin's face as the man looked at him with satisfaction as soon as he finished kissing his neck. The man wiped his face, endured his irritation, then pressed his left shoulder until he cried out in pain. The man's hand, which was stained with a little blood from the wound on Raymond's left shoulder, choked Raymond's neck in the same way the man had done to Amanda earlier.
Levin strengthened his choke even more. He could not move his left hand, so he used his right hand to fling his fist at Levin's face, successfully throwing the man's body away from him. He clutched his neck as he coughed, catching his breath again.
'As Simon said. I'll forget what you’ve done to me earlier if you want to join us,’ Levin spat out blood from his mouth beside him while holding his cheek, back closer to him. 'I'll give you a suitable position instead of working under that little Umberbridge kid. I will give you everything. How about it?’
Raymond laughed at the man's offer. 'And become your pet? Thanks. I refuse.’
He could see Levin who had lost his temper. The man growled, preparing to cast his fist as the door to the room opened, turning the man's attention away from him towards the figure standing in front of the door.
'What? It's you, Levin. I thought I would met some unfamiliar face,’
He felt calm knowing that the person standing at the door was Edward. The man walked into the room, looked around before his gaze fell on him. He saw the change in Edward's face when he saw his condition. Then the man's attention was fixed on Levin.
'Y — you! Why are you here!?’
Edward ignored Levin's question, pushed the man's body with ease, ran over to him. Check his condition carefully. The man's eyes were locked in the blood oozing out of his left shoulder, and the choking mark on his neck which must have been obvious, considering that he had also seen it on Amanda's neck earlier.
'Sorry, I am late.’
Raymond pushed Edward's body away from him. 'Amanda?'
The man smiled at him while stroking the top of his head. 'With Lucas.'
'He's mine, Edward Groningen! Don't even try to touch him!’
Edward spun around after helping Raymond put on the jacket that Levin had removed earlier, telling him to stay where he was while the man was facing Levin who was now pointing his gun at Edward. His eyebrows raised one side at Levin's words. 'Yours? Did I hear it correctly?’
'He's mine! He offered himself as the girl's guarantee! '
'Hm. It's strange,' Edward walked up to approach the old man. 'I don't think I remember that I don't have the right to protect my own boyfriend.'
Edward did not give Levin a chance to reply to his words, because next Edward took out his gun and shot Levin's right hand, dropping the gun that the man was holding. Levin growled as he took his injured hand.
'Damn ...'
'That should be my line, Bastard!' Edward kicked Levin in the chest, threw the man's sturdy body against the body of his subordinate who had died from his gunfire. Edward walked over to Levin who was cornered. Levin's two hands looked for something to use against Edward but to no avail. Edward returned to launch attacks many times. So brutal, that he could not take his eyes off Edward. Where did that man's gentle nature that he always knew? It was not that he did not like it. In fact, Edward who was fighting against Levin at this time looked so amazing in his eyes. The way the man fought Levin looked like a dancing movement, it would be very suitable if he could play Linkin Park playlist music.
Ah, shit. Why was he even busy admiring that man at a time like this?
'Aren't you dead?' asked Levin after successfully dodging Edward's attack.
'Simon said it?' Edward tilted his head slightly, avoiding Levin's fist.
'So he lied about your death? Tsk! Damn Simon! '
He could still feel the sensation of Levin's strangulation, making him anxious. What if Amanda, who was also strangled by the man, has PTSD in the future?
'You underestimate Amanda. She is much stronger than you imagine,'
He hoped that Thyme had said at the Umberbridge residence earlier was true
'I'm not happy about it,' Edward placed the gun against Levin's chest. His movements were so fast, that the old man didn't notice. 'Is there a last sentence before I pay my debt to you for killing my parents?'
The old man's voice caught. His pupils widened, looking at the tip of the gun stuck to his chest. He couldn't clearly see the expression on Edward's face because his current position made it difficult to see it clearly.
'On second thought, I'm not that good until I want to hear your last wish,' Edward pulled the trigger of the gun twice, choked and smashed the man's sturdy body which was now missing to the floor. Banged the back of the man's head repeatedly until it bled while beating that old man many times.
Edward had completely lost control of himself.
He moved from his place, approaching Edward who was still beating the man. His hand tapped Edward's shoulder, distracting him from Levin.
'Enough, Ed.'
'After what he did to you and Mike?'
'Mike? You mean Mike who—'
'Yes, that Mike,' Edward looked back at Levin, who smiled with satisfaction to see him.
'Mi ... ke ... Ander ... son?' Levin managed to make a sound with difficulty, then laughed. The man's hands gripped Edward's wrists, bulging. 'The collection that you ... took away from me ...!'
'Collection? Sorry. He is human. Not a trash like you,' Edward took his hands away from Levin's neck, stood up from his place, picking up Raymond's gun which had been lying not far from him earlier, tossing it at Raymond.
'Do whatever you want with him.'
Without hesitation, Raymond vomited the contents of the bullet all over the old man's body until it did not move anymore, then left the room with Edward.
