Chapter 41: Chapter 41
"Ahh..." Nick found himself lying on the bed of the familiar nightclub. He had no reminiscence from last night but judging by the scene he could think that he might have been too drunk and someone had sent him to a room? He sat on the bed, his upper part was naked and he had white pants on.
He dozed when someone gave him a buzz. "Boss, where are you? I have checked but you are not at home." He could hear Kyle saying so in a panic. Kneading the back of his neck Nick answered him, "At the nightclub."
"Ohh then I am coming..." Kyle was impeded as Nick subtracted, "No, Aiden will get me. My wife... Is she at work yet?"
"No. She did not come yet." As Kyle answered him he cut the call.
"Hello? Hello?"
Getting up Nick got his shirt and tuxedo then put them on as he stepped out of the room he had crashed with a girl who half looked like a waitress. "I'm sorry." With that he was walking away but hearing the girl's familiar voice he stopped. "Mr. Davis is in mood today."
Nick quickly turned around as those words by her echoed in his ears from a hazy memory.
"What did you say?" He asked her.
"Pardon?" But she glanced at him with utter confusion as if she did not know what was he saying. Nick was not deaf nor did he have any problems hearing and he was kinda sure that he heard it but her face was so innocent. It did not seem like she said anything.
"Ahh, nothing." Treating as if he might hear wrong or his ears were drumming he left the place. The girl smiled devilishly as she saw him running towards his car. "Your new world is broken now. It can not have a queen anymore. I feel sorry for you, Mr. Davis."

"Little Nick?" Mrs. Elisa was talking to Philip when Nick was running up the staircase at a fast speed. He turned to her as he heard her. "Is Sanaya in her room? It's office time already so..."
Did not he know where she was? Mrs. Elisa walked to him while answering, "She left thirty minutes ago."
Letting out a sigh of despair he said, "I see... But, was she worried that I did not come back? Last night..."
What was he hoping for? He was gasping for breath but his eyes were scanning the second floor, waiting for his answer from Mrs. Elisa.
'Should I say yes or no? I really don't know.' Seeing her silent Nick smiled faintly. "Guess she did not."
"Wait, your breakfast..."
"It's ok. I will... There's an important thing I must do first." With that, Nick ran to his room quickly. Getting on his white t-shirt, black jeans, and taking his leather jacket he ran to his car. Calling Kyle he asserted, "Is our interpreter there yet?"
"Ahh, she is drinking coffee now." He answered him. "I see. Give her some files, tell her to point important facts out of those in their required sections, and tell her to print a hundred pages of them right now, five for each mainly. I will be there in ten minutes."
"Ten minutes? But Boss, how will she do that? And that's not her job, someone..."
"Then how about you do it in her place?"
"I..."
"Do what I told you to do. Don't run your skull much, get it?" Cutting the call he smirked devilishly. Today, he was going to hit the gas.
There, Sanaya was drinking coffee when Kyle walked to her with having someone else hugging some files.
Sanaya glared at him confusingly, she saw all those files land on her desk at once. "This?"
Kyle did not how to say it. It was morning, she already seemed cold outside. 'Why am I so unlucky? Boss never shows mercy on me.' He mumbled.
"Kyle?"
"Ohh..." Clearing his throat he explained to her, "Please point important facts out of these files in their required sections and then... Print hundred pages of them right now, five for each mainly."
"Now?"
Kyle nodded his head and she glared at him. Though she did not mean to scare him her gaze was as cold as ice. "Sorry, it's urgent," Kyle said lowering his eyes as looking at her was making him feel like she was going to eat him up.
But unlike he thought Sanaya grabbed a file and said, "Ok. I will do them. Since I am doing it, I don't need to be there in the meeting right? Another interpreter will be there."
"Yes, thank you so much."
As she focused on working he walked away. Letting out a relaxing breath, he touched his chest. Thank God she did not say why should she do that, etc stuff like that.
Sanaya was doing research when Kyle ran to her in a hurry. "Sanaya, you are called to the meeting room. Go fast."
"Huh? But didn't you say..."
"I know but Mr. Davis wants you as the interpreter. He kicked the interpreter out who went in place of you. Please go fast. He is very angry right now." Kyle gasped for breath as she said so in a once. Sanaya was not yet half of the work but seeing Kyle she could guess how terrified he was.
Kyle handed her a file and took some sort of breath. Sanaya had no intention of seeing his face at all but now, it seemed she had no option. "Don't you feel like there's something fishy? Since when did Mr. Davis become so needy of her? She might have seduced him, or what else..." Sanaya gave no ear to the people who were having fun chit-chatting bad about her behind her back. Not like she cared.
As Sanaya walked into the meeting room she saw everybody sigh. "Finally, she is here but..." Sanaya took her seat. But Nick glared at Kyle and asserted in an authoritative tone, "You are to sit here."
Kyle looked around and he could not be less happy. Nick was letting him sit at his left? There has never been a day such as today before. With a bright smile, he strolled towards the chair but suddenly hearing the cold tone he stopped.
"You. Didn't you hear me? Come here." Nick called Sanaya to go and move to his next. "I am good here. Thank you." Sanaya did not bother to listen to his demand, she easily disobeyed him.
But she forgot without his command the meeting could not be started. Nick remained silent, as the meeting started everybody did not think if Nick was angry or not. Sanaya was doing her job when Nick got up to his chair and walked towards her.
Giving him no importance she continued to do her job but when Nick took her in his arms out of nowhere everybody glared at him. Their jaws dropped seeing the view in front of them. He put her on the chair next to him and then he sat on his chair. "Continue." He said.
Sanaya could barely control her anger. What did he want? Was not she kind enough not to break his nose by punching him in the face for his cheating on her? Nick was continuously glaring at her as if he had got nothing better to do. Sanaya had decided to just ignore him so there was no sign of disturbance on her face and it was bothering him.
As soon as the meeting ended Sanaya grabbed her purse and said, "Kyle since I have done my job I will be leaving." "I have something to talk to you about." As she was about to walk past Nick he held her hand.
"But I don't." And she pulled her hand easily, she had no intention of staying closer to him.
The way she pulled her hand felt like she did not want him to touch her. It was making him more wanting to touch her. He extended his hand to touch but suddenly his eyes caught on her finger. "Where's your wedding ring?"
"Don't you think Mr. Davis is being too bossy about her? Why is he asking her about her thingy? And who can tell if she is not the one first seducing him? You know these types of girls who go to any extent they can just to achieve their goals." Even though Nick did not care but Sanaya felt anger rushing through her body. She was not the one who seduced him! She was not someone who could use any means just to achieve her goals! She was not those types of girls but his wife. Damn! HIS WIFE!!!
"Please be at your limit, Mr. Davis. I am your employee only, you are not supposed to ask me about my wedding ring." Sanaya moved some inches away from him and looking at him coldly she told him.
"What??"
"If there's nothing then I am leaving. Please excuse me." In front of everybody, she took her way and left, leaving Nick in utter shock. There was a mysterious coldness around her, she just gave him a cold shoulder? Just like that? And he was going to stay quiet? Nah!
"Are you guys so free now? Should I cut your salary for your running your mouth too much, huh!" He shouted at them, like ants running they went vanished in a moment.
Kyle was watching everything standing at a corner silently. Sanaya's cold behavior had impressed him. Nobody ever dared to act that way with Nick before and even slight rudeness got that person to get fired the next minute. But who was this? Sanaya Roy Chowdhury.
"Wow. She is so cool." He could not help but clap.
Nick stared at him angrily and he hid his hand behind him. "I was just... A.. there was a mos... Mosquito. Mosquito in the up..."
As Nick left the meeting room Kyle breathed a sigh of relief. But where did he go in such a hurry? He wondered.
Putting her cell phone on her desk Sanaya opened her purse. But she saw someone she was expecting nor wanting to see. "Why are you not wearing your wedding ring?" Nick asked her in a cold tone.
Sanaya did not bother to answer that made him angrier. Grabbing her hand he asked her again, "Where is your wedding ring? Why your hand is empty?"
Maybe she would still be silent but seeing how people were looking at her, she felt she had to say something. "Please be careful, Mr. Davis. It should be my choice what I want to do. You ain't tell me or ask me about my personal..."
"What are you saying? I am..."
"Go on if you want to announce to the whole world that I am just your wife for 'show off." Nick was surprised to see the way she was talking. It was not the Sanaya he married but someone else, his wife who got to know that her husband was cheating on her.
Nick was still standing in shock. Sanaya took a look around and told him, "If you have anything to tell me about work then say it. Or please leave me alone."
"I want to know where is your wedding ring."
"Why should I tell you? Who are you do you think you are to ask me? I am not bound to answer you what do I do with my wedding ring. Please be within your limit. From now on, don't ever ask me any personal questions." Sanaya lost her temper and was quite louder so everybody there could hear her, she made it clear to him.
"Do you know what are you saying?" As Nick asked her she bobbed her head. "Surely I do."
"Fine. Remember, this is what you want." Nick walked away with that. Sanaya smiled sarcastically while looking at him waddling away. 'You remember one thing. From now on, you will regret for everything you did to me. You will never see me crying over a jerk like you. Let's see what will you do to me, let me see how much more worst you can be.'
