Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Sanaya sniffed, not moving at all. She wondered if he was as nervous as her.

Nuzzling his nose unto her neck he took in her smell. Her nervousness was nowhere to vanish, she was sitting still. As he let out, "You are smelling so damn good you know?" She flickered.

Sanaya gulped the lumps in her throat. She blinked her eyes. Unable to enunciate anything, she had her fists clenched but nervous she was. Nick glanced at her. She was pure, that innocent look towards him, she was blushing and looking cute.

But Nick suddenly got up to the bed, Sanaya held his hand, "Where are you going?" "We both are tired, ain't we?" With a smile, he walked away. Sanaya could not understand what did he meant. It was their first night, no she did not think that Nick was going to let her go but he just walked away... Was he going to come back? She thought.

As she saw him to get in the bathroom she sat on the bed, right she did not change yet.

**

Putting on a t-shirt and sweatpants, Nick walked out of the bathroom. He saw Sanaya to sleep, sloping her head on the pillow but squatting on the bed. He did not know what to call that sleeping style though. He sauntered towards her.

Sitting on the bed he glared at her. His eyes caught on the vermilion on her head, he did not know what was the meaning of it, but surely he knew only one thing that she was his wife and she was wearing it for him. Now, he was her husband.

Sighing he extended his hand to take a pillow. As he was taking the pillow she opened her eyes. Getting up she handed him a glass and said, "Drink this."

"This?" He glanced at it.

"It's also in the ritual so...." She explained. Taking the glass he drank the milk.

"Sorry to wake you up, good night." Saying so he strolled towards the balcony. Sanaya was speechless, only observing where he was going. She could not understand what he was trying to do. But then she saw he laid his body on the couch and closed his eyes.

Disappointed? Yes, she was a little bit... When she was still staring at Nick he opened his eyes suddenly, making her startled. "Is it ok for you if I switch off the lights?" He asked her. She bobbed her head and then only the moon was reflecting its light in their room slightly and mostly in the balcony.

Sanaya could see his face. He was sleeping soundlessly. "It's ok. He might be very tired. Maybe he is not yet ready to share his bed with me..." She told herself. Then she asked him, "Are you okay with sleeping on the couch?"

But he did not respond, he was sleeping. Sanaya laid herself on the bed slowly still looking at Nick, without moving her attention from him. She did not know when did she fell asleep...

**

It was morning. Yawning Sanaya stretched out her arms. Back then in India, she would see her pet first when she opened her eyes but here, she had no pet sadly. When she stretched out her arms she felt she touched someone. As she opened her eyes she found herself so closer to Nick. "What is he doing here?" She whimpered.

As she looked around she understood what was going. She was astounded. Narrowing her eyebrows she grumbled, "Wait, what am I doing here? Did I crawl into this couch last night?" She downed thinking of maybe she did it.

Sipping she touched his hand that was wrapped around her waist. She glanced at her hands and then feet, she was wearing bangles and Nupur. Even though she could try but the sound of them would wake him up for sure.

"What can I do in this situation? If he wakes up and sees that I am sleeping here, he might think that I could not hold on anymore and that's why I came here leaving my bed. No way..."

Shaking her head in denial she grabbed his hand. She was not going to get caught for what she was not even sure how it happened. She shifted his hand just a little and suddenly he dragged her closer, making her rest her head on his chest. She blinked her eyes and her jaw dropped when she rolled her eyes. She could not move for a second.

Nick started moving his hand slowly. She was waiting for him to not move or she would be in trouble. But then he was reaching her stomach slowly. Sanaya was glancing at him as if she was a statue. "Don't touch there..." She muttered when he moved his hand from her stomach to nearly her navel. "Nick, stop! Don't touch..." Just then he stopped.

Sanaya sniffed in heavily. She lifted her head slowly. As she saw him sleep she touched his hand to move. Slowly she moved his hand from her belly. Letting out a sigh of relief she stroked her chest, inhaling fresh air.

"Good morning..." Just when she turned to go to the bathroom she heard his voice from behind. Smiling sheepishly while blushing she announced, "Good... Good morning..."

"Won't you look at me?" He asked, sitting on the couch. Sanaya swerved towards him nervously.

"How was your sleep?" She asked him.

Getting up to the couch he sauntered to her. "I slept peacefully." He responded with a smile. With that cute smile, Sanaya felt like her heart was beating faster. Stepping backward she let out, "I will get changed first." Before he could say anything she ran to the bathroom and locked the door.

"Omg, my heart..." Biting her lips Sanaya threw water on her face. Yesterday night, she was a little bit sad but this morning, she was super shocked. As soon as she woke up she found herself lying next to him. Wow!

**

"Where is he?" Sanaya stepped out of the bathroom but she did not see Nick in the room. "Where's the hairdryer?" She looked around. She was new here, she did not know what was where. It was Nick's room so he knew only but he was not available now.

Tingling her head she sat on the table while making sounds by nupur. Chanak chanak chanak!!! Nick could see her sitting on the table, looking at the space, and might be looking for something. He could her back, she was wearing a saree after all.

When she was sitting at the table she did not notice when Nick got in already.

"Now I know, how does my wife sit when she is alone... " Leaning down he moved a strand of her hair over her face as he grumbled, "When she is alone." Startled Sanaya turned around just to kiss on his cheeks. She rolled her eyes, her cheeks turned red.

She looked down immediately and confided, "Why must he appear so suddenly out of nowhere?"

"Ahh, I did not mean to intrude. I thought you might need help with things as you do not know things around..." He stood away with having his hands in his pockets.

Smiling sheepishly Sanaya announced, "I was looking for the hairdryer..." "Got it, my queen." Smiling at her he wandered towards the cupboard. Sanaya's heart was pounding, biting her lips she tried hiding her smile. My queen, she blushed and smiled. Only if she could see how Nick was looking at her so coldly she might not be smiling at all ...

"Do you need a helping hand?" Nick snapped her out of her trance. Suddenly seeing him she got up. "No, I can do it."

"Ahh, are you sure?" He asked, narrowing his eyebrows. With a nod, she took the hairdryer from his hand. But suddenly as Nick lifted her she was startled. Looking at him confusingly she asked, "What are you doing?"

He sauntered towards the couch. Putting her down he patted her head as he explained, "You were standing on the table, babe."

Rolling her eyes she stared at the table and got up, "Oh sorry. I did not notice..." Unknowingly Nick was glancing at her. Her lips, her eyes, her hand, how she was moving her hands, confused nervous...

When he touched her head, she stopped talking. Staring at him, she understood that Nick was looking at her affectionately. "Ahh..." She smiled sheepishly. "I thought nobody was here, I mean you... So I sat on... The table hehe... I know it is a bad habit but I will try to..."

"You don't need to change." Sanaya was surprised to hear him. He did not mind that she was not sitting like a lady. "Don't change yourself for me. I like the way you are." Saying so he caressed her hair. "Since you don't need help, I am going to finish some works."

"Ahh ok." She kept peeking at him when he was ambling towards the door. As he left Sanaya touched her chest. This was driving her crazy, being near him she would be nervous, anxious sometimes, her heart started beating faster than usual. Grabbing her hair she sat on the couch and rested her head on the couch as she let out a sigh. "I should remember that now I am married. Maybe it's normal to have these emotions? Maybe because ahh... Should I ask Clara why am I feeling like this? Or maybe I am sick? No way... If I am sick then..." Looking at the roof she kept mumbling...
