Chapter 49: Chapter 49
WITH HELD SECRETS, THAT NEVER GOT TO BE SAID.
Rashid stood up from his bed, as he went over to his wardrobe to put on a robe.
Everywhere was so cool and chilly, it's a Sunday morning, a day for Christian's to worship.
He mentally made a note of reminder to himself, not to go to the mosque late, as he had done last week Friday.
He was so damn busy with work, busy with unravelling the case of fraud which could make a company go bankrupt, if not for how wealthy he is.
If he did not study economics, he won't be able to handle and control the situation.
He wore the robe and went to his reading room, he normally doesn't take his phone along with him while going to his reading room.
It is a time for business for him.
"Good morning, Mr Rashid", Mrs Margaret said, as she took a bow before him.
Rashid stopped as he turned to look at the woman, "you know I always tell you that the Mr is not always necessary, when you call me that it makes me seem like I have clicked middle fifty..
So please, by the way, how was your night?", Rashid asked patiently.
"It was all good, thanks to God, like yours Allah", she said as she drawled a smile.
"I will be in here, just incase you need anything, just knock, do not call as my phone is not with me, alright?", Rashid said as he entered the room and shut the door behind him.
Mrs Margaret, turned and walked towards the kitchen, with smiles written all over her face.
***********
A knock came on the door, Rashid thought, Margaret was the person knocking.
He ordered for her to come in, only that it wasn't her, it was Dargok, his bodyguard.
"Good day Sir, I said I should come give you, your phone, since it has been ringing.
I was thinking you were in your bedroom, but when the call had persisted, I knew you weren't inside, as I heard no sound from your room", Dargok said, as he walked over to Rashid and handed him the phone.
...."and Sir, you have been looking quite happy this week.... Sorry to say but it looks quite good on you, apart from when you are with your best Khalid, I rarely see you this happy.
Since when you were young, it seemed like he is the only source of your happiness..." Dargok continued.
"It's really nothing, it's just Allah and his mercies, he's been fulfilling all my needs and I am so happy about the change, although I am still tackling with the fraud issue", Rashid said with worry.
"If Allah has been fulfilling all your needs, he would definitely solve this one for you, so don't worry too much and keep praying to him", Dargok advised.
"Alright I will take my leave", Dargok said as he was about leaving the room.... Rashid stopped him, "thanks for everything Dargok, you know you are more than a bodyguard to me, you are like an older brother who is always there for me when I am in need, and I will forever be grateful to you", Rashid said as he pulled Dargok in for a hug.
Dargok closed the door behind him and left for his duty post.
Rashid opened the phone to check who had been calling him, lo... It was Khalid.
He decided to out a call across, "Man, how are you doing?", Rashid asked.
" I am not okay, those dreams... The particular one I always complain to you about, I had it again, although this time around, I was able to pull myself through the dream, it was horrible"..
"Damnnn, apart from that how have you been doing", Rashid asked once more.
"I am good, but..
"But what?"he asked.
"It's Fiona", Khalid replied.
"You were not able to handle her or what, what really happened?", He asked.
"From the start, around six months or thereabouts earlier, she had come to my house.. I did not send her back, but I was surprised she came because I never invited her over.
I had made her feel at home, offered her a drink, and you know all that stuff you do entertain a visitor with, although she declined all of it.
I had asked her the reason why she came, if there was any problem, you know what she told me?", Khalid asked.
"What did she say?", Rashid threw back the question at Khalid.
"She told me, I invited her over to my house.
I was short of words, when she told me that, because I never remembered telling her to come over, like why would I tell her to do so, when she was still under your custody.
You know I will never do that", Khalid said, already getting angry from the remembrance of what happened at his house.
"Al.. alright, and so... After that what happened, hope you did not say it do anything rash about it", Rashid said.
"What are you talking about, I was mad that she would say such thing, it was like though she was throwing herself at me, you know how much I liked her, but I was angry she was thriw herself so cheaply on me, damnnn",
"So.... I just want to know what you did to lessen the awkward situation.
What did you do, hope you did not hurt that girl?", Rashid asked.
"Man, are you supporting her or what??. Don't tell me you support her stupid actions.
What were you expecting?, I sent her out of my house, I warned her never to step into my house and guess what...
"What?", Rashid asked.
"Right now, I use her to my satisfaction, and when I am done with her, I will make sure she roots in that brothel for life.
I had wanted to make her life better, once you were gone, but when she came to my house that morning, saying I had texted her to come over.... Damnn... I was filled with hatred towards her..
"You are my bestfriend, yes, everyone knows that, but I want to let you know, that you are the biggest fool ever.
Something like that happens, you never told me, when things had escalated to this, you finally decide to give this stupid bestfriend of yours a call.
Let me kindly let you know that you are not going to use her to your satisfaction, you are only going to keep tormenting yourself, the more you take her, the more you become addicted.
I never became addicted, but I have studied her so much, I have studied her to know that she is not doing that work for her pleasure, I feel like there's something more to it.
It was against her will, but she can do nothing about it.
If I was you, I would make sure I bring her out of that place... I would have done that, but I wanted you to do it, so that her gratitude will forever be towards you...
But you messed up everything", Rashid said, getting frustrated by Khalids' act, he took a sip of his wine as he dropped it back on the table.
"Are you trying to say I did the wrong thing?", Khalid asked surprised the outburst of his bestfriends' words.
"I am saying you did the wrong thing, but it wasn't you fault, it was all mine, for not letting you know, and keeping it all to myself.
I never knew, something like this will happen, or rather had happened, but at least you would have told me.
Sorry to say.. but Fiona is well bred, apart from me, no one had ever gotten to taste her if not you.
I had even set her up, with so many rich men, but she never fell into the trap, she's just so good, at a point I wanted to make her mine.... But... When I saw how you felt towards her I decided to let her go, and I know it's for the best.", Rashid said.
