Few days later, the real estate agent I hired called saying he had a better idea that instead of buying land,I should get the large building that was put up for sale in that same area where we agreed on. I thought it was a good idea so I decided to check it out but I also didn't want to draw attention to myself so I ditched my car and carpooled with the agent.

"This is nice,I think it was a restaurant before because it's built like one." I said after inspecting the building.

"I know sir,they went bankrupt about a year ago when they lost their customers to De ultimate restaurant." He explained.

"Oh,so there's competition? I'm buying it." I concluded.

"Are you sure sir?" He asked,and I wanted to laugh at the scared look on his face.

"Do you think I'll go bankrupt too?" I asked him.

"Of course not sir,I just thought you'd want to think about it." He replied

"It's okay."

I signed the cheque immediately,and apart from the fact that I liked a little competition,it was also a good spot as it was close to the road but not too close and it had a big packing space. The interior decorations weren't that bad but it doesn't meet my standards so I called my secretary to arrange a meeting with our interior decorators.

"Right away sir." She said.

I was back at the office now after making sure everything else was in order. At twenty-four,I had accomplished quite a lot but most of all respect...I wasn't that bossy but my employees know not to joke around when it was time for business.

"You're not dying,are you?" A voice asked but I didn't bother looking up since I already knew who the person was.

"The day you knock before entering my office, I'll sign my business over to you." I said to Noah,my best friend.

"Ok." He said before closing the door and placing a knock on the door.

"Do I get the business now?" He asked,but I ignored him but stood up to hug him.

"When did you get back in town?" I asked when we were both sitted.

"Yesterday,and before you say I didn't call,I wanted to surprise you so calling would have ruined the surprise." He answered.

Noah and I have been friends since secondary school days and have been inseparable since then. While I had interest in cooking and continuing my family business, Noah liked drawing a lot so he chose to become an architect and can design places too and a successful one at that. He designed the house I am staying in right now...he is that good,he even travels a lot to collect contracts.

"So how have you been? Anything going on that you forgot to mention?" He asked.

"If you're asking about a girlfriend,no I don't have any." I pointed out.

"I wasn't thinking about it." He lied. While I believed in love, Noah didn't and he didn't hide it when he made fun of my failed relationships.

"Sure you weren't." I teased.

"You're being sarcastic." He said but I didn't answer him because I'm sure he knew the answer already.

"I'm opening another branch again and since you're here,I might need you to talk to the interior decorators and do what you think it's best." I told him.

"How much is my commission? Cos you can't keep using my skill for free." I heard him say.

"Well, maybe when you start paying for your food too." I retorted.

"Yea, that's not possible." He murmured,but I just laughed. I wonder why he still brings the topic up when he knows I'll win.

"I thought as much." I replied.

Noah stayed with me till I was ready to go and that was when everyone else had gone home.

"How's Angela?" He asked.

Ok,so I believed in true love but I wasn't a virgin either and Angela was one of the people I slept with. I would've dated her,but she wanted to explore other options.

"I haven't seen her since the day she left." I said.

He didn't say anything,just nodded which I was grateful for. I freshened up before greeting Noah goodnight as he entered the room he stays whenever he was around.

The next morning,I decided to show Noah the new place since he'd be designing it and I didn't want my dad to call concerning it when I hadn't started work on it yet.

"It's nice." He said when I showed him.

"I know,but I think it needs more life and I know you can do justice to that." I told him.

"You know it." He said with a smug look on his face.

"Let's check out our competition." I suggested it since he was done looking around.

"Sure, something tells me that is one of the reasons you bought that place." He said and I laughed because of how well he knew me.

We entered the restaurant and it was fully packed but we still got a place to sit.

"Let's order something." Noah suggested this time so we wouldn't look like the spies we were acting like.

"My name is Tracy and I'll be taking your order today, what do you want?" The girl asked,and her eyes didn't leave ours. Of course,this wasn't new and we were used to the attention we got.

"I will take chicken fried rice with broccoli." Noah said and she wrote it down.

"I'll have Uhm….." I started,but my eyes caught sight of a girl who was serving the table close to ours. The uniform she wore is short showing her nice legs which I think would be fine wrapped around me….fuck,I can't be thinking about someone like this.

A kick brought me out of my trance.

"Same... I'll have the same." I said, before drowning down the water they'd given us earlier.

"Ok, I'll be back with it but can I get you anything else before your meal is ready?" She asked,and we both nodded negatively.

"For a hopeless romantic like you,you sure don't know how to control yourself." Noah said, laughing at me.

"It's not my fault she's hot." I shrugged. I looked over to where I saw the girl before but she was no longer there and I was pained that I didn't get to see her face.

"Of course she'd be hot,do you go for anything less than that?" He asked but I didn't answer.

I kept on looking around hoping she'd come out before I had to leave but she did when she came to clear the plates from the table where she was earlier.

And If I said she was gorgeous,it didn't do justice to how she looked right now. She had the body of a model, curves in the right places and her lips were perfect.i was a little full and I want to know how she tasted. Her eyes looked innocent but at the same time,it was attractive as hell.

"I have a feeling we are coming back here." Noah said,and he wasn't wrong….we are definitely coming back here.
