Chapter 30: Chapter 30

I had a feeling he was going to ask me out but I didn't think it would be this fast. I'm happy but I'm nervous at the same time. What do I do, how do I behave? Or which clothes do I wear?

"Calm down Precious, I'm sure you'd be fine and everything would go well." Comfort said, in an attempt to calm me down.

"You think so? I don't even have good clothes." I complained to her.

"I don't think he'll mind the ones you have." She said.

I think back to the day at the restaurant when Michael asked if I wanted to go out with him, my mouth opened in surprise and it took a while for me to realize he was waiting for me to say something and that was two days ago, meaning the date is tomorrow because it is a Sunday and I don't have to go to work.

When I said yes to him, one would think he asked for my hand in marriage instead of a date. His smile widened when I said yes and I was glad I made him happy.

"You still have today to think about what you want to wear." She said.

"This is bad, what if he changes his mind when he sees how I'm dressed?" I asked.

"Listen to me, Michael likes you more than that to care about what you're wearing. You can put on rags and he'll still go out with you….. but please don't do that." She finished and I laughed.

"What do you think I should wear then?" I asked.

"Well, it's up to Michael and where he's taking you to." She told me.

"I should ask him."

"Hey Mikey." I greeted nervously when he picked.

"Angel, is anything wrong, you sound worried?" He asked.

"I'm fine.." I started, before pausing to clear my voice as it sounded a little hoarse.

"I wanted to ask where you are taking me so I can know what to wear." I said.

"Anything comfortable." He said not helping matters at all.

"Okay, thank you you've been so much help." I said, with sarcasm in my voice and I heard him chuckle.

When I knew he wouldn't help much, I remembered that Emily is good in that aspect so I decided to ask her instead.

"Please tell me it's my brother that's taking you out?" She asked excitedly when I asked for advice on what to wear.

"Yes." I answered shyly.

"I knew it, can you come pick me up from the place we met the other day?" She asked, and I wondered why.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

I was only asking for advice about what to wear, not asking her to come over.

"So I can help you dress up duh...what do you think?" She asked.

"Oh... okay." I said, accepting the fact that I couldn't convince her not to come.

"So Emily is coming and I didn't ask when." I informed Comfort.

"That's Michael's sister right?" She asked, taking her eyes off her phone.

"Yea." I replied.

Few hours later, my phone started ringing but this time it wasn't Michael, it was Emily.

"Is she here already?" I thought.

When I picked up, she told me she was waiting for me, so I quickly put on my shoes, thankfully I'm dressed. I walked as fast as my legs would let me.

"You got here fast." I said when I saw her.

"I left my room almost immediately after I dropped your call." She said, and I nodded as I wanted to help her with her bag but she didn't let me.

"I can carry it." She argued, and after a few attempts I gave up and let her carry the bag.

I led the way to the room, with Emily right behind me. At one point, she wouldn't shut up about how happy she was that her brother asked me out.

"This is Comfort, my best friend." I said.

"I've heard so much about you, and I'm glad I finally get to meet you." Emily said excitedly, going to hug a surprised Comfort.

"I've heard a lot about you too." She replied.

After the introduction was done, Emily brought out some beautiful sets of clothes and even shoes and purse.

"He said comfortable, right?" She asked, and I nodded absentmindedly as I stared at the things she brought.

"You didn't have to come all the way." I started.

"Are you kidding me, I love doing this and besides my brother would be shocked when he sees you." She said.

"Thank you!" I told her.

We spent the night talking like old friends, Emily even told us about the guy she has a crush on….it was fun.

When Michael called, Emily made sure I didn't tell him she was around claiming she wanted to surprise him.

The next morning, while I took my bath Emily alongside Comfort picked my outfit... Michael is coming by eleven o'clock but they made sure I was up three hours before then.

"It'll only take a minute." Emily assured me as she put something she claimed was makeup on my face.

"Are you sure I look okay?" I asked, since we didn't have a mirror except for our phone cameras.

"You look gorgeous." Comfort said.

"Thank you guys." I told them, almost tearing up because of how happy I was.

"You're going to ruin the makeup." Emily scolded.

"It's almost time, put on the clothes." Comfort commanded, and I wondered what the big deal was…. it's just clothes, it'll only take a minute.

I put on the clothes laid on the bed, and it's really beautiful... she should be a fashion designer, it's her calling. When I wore the shoes she set for it, I actually felt confident that I look beautiful.

"I have to take pictures, and brag to my friends that I have the most gorgeous sister in-law." She gushed excitedly and she bought out her phone without realizing that she made me a blushing mess.

We haven't started dating properly yet, but she already sees me as her sister in-law.

They took different pictures, with Comfort and Emily telling me what position to stand in. The moment we were done and was ready to rest for a moment, someone knocked on the door. We all looked at one another since it was obvious who was knocking.

"Don't let him know I'm here." Emily whispered, and I nodded.

"Hi.." I said when I opened the door and damn, I liked what I saw.

He was wearing jean trousers just like me, he had a denim with a white inner which hugged him tightly almost showing the lines of his abs that I want to run my hand through. He also had a pair of shades on….he is trying to kill my poor self….he looked so damn good!

"Uhmm….." He said, staring at me without saying any other thing and with the expression on his face, I could tell something was wrong.
