Chapter 28: Chapter 28

I waited patiently for Precious to get off from work because I knew she'd be very busy during the day. But after calling more than five or rather six times and she didn't pick, I became worried that something might have happened to her and I couldn't lose her when….she isn't mine to begin with, but that's for a short time.

It was times like this that I regretted not collecting Comfort's number. Dressing up again, I made my way to her house and I found her sitting with someone I think should be David.

I tried calling her number again, but I watched as she put it off. She most likely haven't noticed me yet, and I really wanted to hear what he has to say to her.

"I really want to kiss you right now." He said, out of everything it had to be that. I didn't know why but I wanted to hear what Precious would say.

"I don't think so." I heard her say, and I decided I had heard enough so I decided to make my presence known.

"I don't think so either." I said, and I saw

surprise written on her face.

"Michael!!!" She exclaimed.

I didn't know why, but my name sounded strange to me, maybe because she haven't called me that in a while.

"Angel." I said, looking directly at the David guy who looked ready to hit me.

"We were having a conversation here, do you mind?" He asked.

"It's okay David, he was the one calling so I think it's important." Precious quickly said, stepping between us.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." He said, his eyes not leaving mine.

"Yes." She answered.

"Ok." He replied before leaning in to kiss her cheeks.

"Not happening dude." I thought, as I brought her closer to myself, which made him unable to do so. He glared at me but it didn't scare me one bit...it actually looked funny.

"You didn't have to come all the way here." Precious said, the moment we were alone.

"You think so? The girl I like so much decides not to pick up her phone and you think I would be able to stay relaxed." I told her.

"You like me?" She asked, with a smile.

"Out of everything I said, that's the only thing you got?" I asked her.

"That is the only important one, and for the record I like you too." I heard her say, and I'm sure I stopped breathing for a while.

"You do?" I asked.

"Yes." She confirmed and I felt my whole countenance lightened up and the event which got us here was forgotten.

"You don't know how that makes me feel right now." I said, looking down at her happily.

"How does it make you feel Mr Michael?" She whispered.

"F**k, does she even know the effect she has on me when she does that?" I thought.

"You don't want to hear the answer especially not here." I replied.

I should've listened to Noah when he said she might actually liked me too and everything would have been easier... infact way more easier but I think it's better this way.

"Do you want to come in?" She asked, but I knew we would disturb Comfort.

"Do you think you can still grab a bite this evening?" I asked hopefully.

"Of course, I love spending time with you." She said.

The way everything she says doesn't sound forced or anything makes me to scream with excitement.

"Where do you want to go?" I asked.

"I don't know, but anywhere you are is where I want to be." She answered, and I groaned mentally. If I were a girl, I would be blushing furiously but that didn't stop the smile that formed on my face.

"Are you serious right now?" I asked her.

"What? Is something wrong?" She asked, looking innocent as ever.

"Of course not Angel, why would you think otherwise?" I asked her.

"Nothing." She replied, and immediately took my hands in hers.

"I have the perfect place." I said, ignoring the sparks I felt when her hand touched mine.

I picked one of the restaurants we've been to together but it's one of the places people don't really stare so much at us, so we have our privacy.

As I opened the door leading inside the restaurant, Precious offered me a smile that has the ability to light up my entire world. I sat down after drawing out a chair for her. I wasn't hungry so I just looked at the menu without any thoughts of ordering.

"I'm not really hungry, so I'll just take ice-cream." Precious said, and I totally agreed.

"Which flavor do you want?" She asked, her attention wholely on the menu.

"Anyone, I don't mind." I replied.

She ended up ordering chocolate for me and strawberry for herself, claiming she might want to taste the chocolate and still want the strawberry….but it wasn't like I mind though.

We both started taking the ice-cream and the look on her when it touched her tongue was priceless because of how cold it is.

"I take it you're having fun." I said.

"You have no idea." She replied…."let me taste yours." She added and I scooped a full spoon to feed her.

"Hmmm….." She moaned quietly, ignoring the strange look people threw at us.

After what seemed like forever, I've never been so jealous of something like how I became jealous of the ice-cream she's taking.

"You should stop glaring at my ice-cream Mr Michael, it has done nothing wrong." She whispered, and I didn't even realize I was staring at it.

"Sorry.." I said, not sorry at all.

"It's okay, I get jealous too when you get too focused on your own ice-cream." She confessed, not looking embarrassed one bit as she took the last scoop of her ice-cream.

"So you were looking at me?" I asked, resting my both hands on the table so that my face could be close to hers.

"What else do you think I should look at? And trust me, it was worth it." She responded, copying my actions and her face was dangerously close to mine.

She bit on her lower lips while looking directly at me, as if she knew how much it affects me whenever she does it. When I could no longer resist, I kissed her and I felt her smile but it didn't last long as an awkward cough brought us to reality.

"Hmm…. your bill sir." The waitress said.

"It couldn't wait huh?" I wanted to ask, as I saw my Angel…. I mean Angel... does it matter because it was only a matter of time before she became mine. She was trying to avoid eye contact with the waitress as I paid for what we got…. She also looked shy, which she wasn't a few minutes ago.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm fine." She replied, still turning back to look at the waitress as she left.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"You just did, but okay." She replied.

I didn't know what pushed me, but it felt right. What I planned to say was different, but what came out of my mouth was another thing.

"Will you go on a date with me…. like a real date?" I asked and I saw her mouth drop in surprise.
