Evans pov’s

It was lunch time so I decided to go grab lunch.

Maybe I could get lunch for emily also but the event that occurred earlier played in my head, so I decided to let her be.

“Maybe she needs some space” I concluded in my thoughts.

I went to the office cafeteria with others staff from the office.

I found an empty seat at the end of the cafeteria, so I walked with my tray of snacks and drinks and settled down on the seat available.

I kept picking on my food at intervals, Iand guess I lost my appetite .

The food tasted so great a while ago but now I just couldn’t eat anymore. My mind kept drifting back to what happened in my office.

She pushed me away, but why???

“Hey can I join you someone” said bringing me back to reality.

“Who could that be, maybe it Emily” I thought.

Huh I looked up to see emily’s PA smiling warmly at me.

“Sure” I said calmly though I was disappointed it wasn’t Emily.

Emily’s pov’s

Gosh am farmished, rubbed my stomach as it growl even more louder than before.

Been working for some while now and I forgot to grab lunch.

I use the landline to call my PA but she wasn’t picking up.

“I guess she’s in the cafeteria, maybe I should go there and ask her to get my lunch to my office” I concluded in my thoughts.

I stood up and groaned lightly before moving out.

I walked out of my office and headed straight to the cafeteria.

I got there and I used my eyes to search for her.

“Phew where is she” I thought rubbing my knuckles.

Hmm”Aala I moved in still searching for her till I saw her with evans

Whatt they having lunch together and they were both laughing heartily.

“Ahhhhh” I thought he said he loves me.

I matched to them in anger and dragged evans out of the table.

The whole staff turn to my direction and gave me strange glance so I gave them all an apologetic look before they returned back to eating their lunch.

“Hey where are you dragging me too” Evans said trying to free himself from my hold.

But instead I ignored him and kept dragging him till I got to my office.

“What’s going on?” he asked again.

“What the hell where you doing having lunch with my PA” I yelled at him pacing around.

“So that what this is about” he chuckled.

“Yes” I half yelled.

“If I get this straight I think you are jealous” he said still chulking while my face became pale immediately.

What he just said rang a bell in my head.

Am I really jealous, no I can’t.

“Am not jealous” I snarled at him.

Ohhh really, then why were are you acting like a overprotective girlfriend he said in mockery.

“No am not” I retorted rolling my eyes.

“Yes, you are” he said again.

“No am not”

“Yes you are”

“Ahhhhhh can we both stop this childish behavior” I yelled.

Fine he said raising his hands in surrender.

“You made me forget I needed to have lunch” I said stomping my feet on the ground while he bursted out laughing .

“Huh what’s so funny to him” I thought.

“Seriously” I said glaring hard.

“Oh my bad” he said bowing his head.

“Get me my lunch now” I half yelled.

“You can’t order me around” he retorted.

“Oh really” I asked preplexed and he nodded.

“Well if I remember correctly am the boss here right” I said smirking.

“Fu**” he cursed inwardly moving out in anger while I folded my hands smiling to myself.

“C’mon we have to be there on time” I said to evans who was busy arranging his office.

“Damn what were you doing all this while” I added.

“If I wasn’t forced to watch my boss eat her lunch maybe I would have been done and we both wouldn’t be in such a hurry” he reply angrily while I chuckled.

“Let’s go” he said and we walked out together

Evans pov’s

“Slow down” I yelled holding my seat tightly.

Well we are on our way to Emily parents house and she’s been driving on a crazy speed.

If she don’t value her life, I value mine.

“Ahhh there’s a vehicle” I was saying when she diverted before the vehicle got to us.

‘Where did you learn to drive like that” I said and she laughed.

You look like a scardy cat she said laughing.

“No am not” I said composing myself.

“You sure” she said perking up her eyebrows at me.

“Can you concentrate on the road and forget me” I said still scared.

“Geez” he so scared she mocks.

“Whatever” I mumbled.

“Remind me never to ride with you” I said to Emily as we arrived at the huge mansion .

“I will surely remind you that” she said and we both shared a laugh.

“You look beautiful when you smile” I said and she blushed.

“C’mon let’s go, they must be waiting” she said and I nodded nervously.

We both got down from the car and shut the door the same time.

“Let’s go” I said nervously walking together with Emily.

Don’t tell me your nervous she said holding my hands together as we walked.

“Not anymore” I said looking at our locked hands and she blushed.

We rang the doorbell and a maid open open for us.

She looks likes she’s in her early 60’s

“Oh my, nanny” Emily said and hugged her tightly.

“Wow my baby girl has grow so much she said lovely” still hugging Emily.

“How is my child Eva” she asked.

“She’s fine nanny” emily replied happily

Who’s this fine young man she asked staring at me.

“Oh nanny, meet Evans my fiancee andnd Evans meet my nanny” she introduced us.

“Good evening ma’am” I said and bowed lightly.

“Oh please, come on in” she said to us.

Your mom has been waiting for you she whispered to Emily and they both giggled.

I guess Emily and her nanny are so close.

I hope this goes well I prayed silently.

We got into the grand sitting room and everything in it screamed money..

Wow Emily’s parents must be really rich I must confess.

The interior design, the deco the chandelier and everything in the sitting must have cost a fortune.

Would they accept a man like myself for their daughter.

‘Relax’ okay Emily said to me reassuring while I smiled lightly at her.

I began to hear faint sounds of heel approaching our direction.

I looked up at the stairs to see a woman, who looked so young coming down the stairs.

“Mom” Emily shrieked and ran to hug her.

“Oh my baby girl it been a long time” the woman replied still hugging her duaghter.

Wow her mom is pretty young I thought.

I stood on my feet as she approach me.

“And you must be her fiance” she said smiling.

“Good evening ma, it s honor to finally meet you ma” I said politely.

“Oh please stop the formalities call me sandra or better still mom” she said happily.

“Yes ma… Mom” I shuttered and she smiled at me.

“Where’s dad?” Emily asked.

“Oh he would be down shortly” her mom said.

“Let’s go to the dinning am sure the maid has served us dinner” she gestured.

We walked down as mother and daughter kept having a good time.

I drew a seat backwards for emily and she sat down giving me a appreciate look.

“Awwn” her Mom cooed.

I heard footsteps and I turn to see a male figure coming down.

I guess he is emily’s dad, as he approached his face seems so farmilar to me.

He kissed his wife’s cheeks and turn to my direction.

“Mr Romeo James” I muttered shakily.

Why does he sound frightened
