Heroes' Prison Chapter 77
Huang Yi nodded slightly in his mind, agreeing with the Swordsman’s point of view. Although the Overlord’s Contract Set was only Green Gear, far inferior in attributes to other Blue Jewelry, the set effects were incredibly powerful, making it far more valuable than blue and even many purple gear.
"Ah, you’ve got me itching to try again, maybe go for another run and see. Who knows, maybe this time I’ll get an Overlord’s Pact storage ring, and then I’ll hit the jackpot. Even if I don’t use it myself, it would fetch a high price at the auction, and I’d be rich and handsome in no time."
"Yeah, I’ll give it a shot too, soloing is too tiring. Let’s find a team for a 5-man run!"
With that, the two men walked forward, blending into the crowd.
The Teleport Plaza was always bustling, lively with groups of friends coming and going, talking and laughing. Standing amidst the crowd, Huang Yi watched the throng of people and suddenly felt a sense of loneliness. Up to now, he had no friends, and the only family he had, Little White Cat, had been left behind at Bai Long Lake.
This was a problem faced by over five thousand Rare Class Holders who, although standing at the peak of the pyramid, had become disconnected from the masses at the base, unable to communicate normally with regular players. Once regular players discovered their Rare Class, they would inspect them like rare animals, the same way tens of thousands of players had surrounded the Warrior Hall the previous night, just to catch a glimpse of Huang Yi, the Rare Class Holder.
As Huang Yi gazed at the vast crowd, suddenly he spotted a familiar figure.
It was a female player, with long black hair and purple eyes, carrying a long sword on her back, looking spirited and decisive. This was Biyue Qingkong, the same player who had saved him the previous night. If she hadn’t healed him at the city gate, Huang Yi would have undoubtedly died.
At the moment, Biyue Qingkong was with a boy who looked to be about fifteen or sixteen, plump and with a mischievous look between his brows.
Huang Yi made his way through the crowd and approached, patting Biyue Qingkong’s shoulder.
"Hmm? Who are you?" Biyue Qingkong turned around, looking at Huang Yi with a puzzled expression on her face.
It was then that Huang Yi realized he had evolved into a Half-Beastman and looked different from before, so he explained, "I’m the person you saved at the city gate last night, only my form has changed since then."
"Wow! Are you a transformer? It must be so fun to change forms! Why don’t you transform right now? I want to be the head!" Exclaimed the excited Little Fatty standing next to Biyue Qingkong.
"Little brother, don’t be naughty!" Biyue Qingkong immediately grabbed the Little Fatty, chiding him.
The Little Fatty stuck out his tongue for a moment, obediently retreating, but his eyes continued to dart around mischievously.
"Sorry about that, my little brother is always mischievous," Biyue Qingkong apologized, smiling, revealing the tenderness of an elder sister.
"No problem," Huang Yi smiled lightly. "Are you here to attempt the Tower of Pantheons?"
"Yes! But unfortunately, we can’t find a team. My little brother is a newbie, not very skilled and quite mischievous. No one wants to team up with him," Biyue Qingkong said as she playfully tapped the Little Fatty’s nose, conveying a look of affection despite her reproachful tone.
"Why don’t we try together?" Huang Yi suggested. His opportunities for solo instances were exhausted, but he still had ten tries left for groups of five, ten, fifty, and even five hundred.
"Sure!" The Little Fatty was the first to nod enthusiastically. "I’m really good!"
"Good at what, you little ghost!" Biyue Qingkong knocked on his head, half annoyed, half amused, then turned to Huang Yi, "My little brother isn’t very good; he dies a lot. He’s a DPS role, but you can just ignore him. I have both DPS and Healing Abilities. What about you?"
"I’m mainly DPS," Huang Yi replied, adding, "but I can tank if necessary."
’Tank’ meant the one who draws the aggro from monsters, also known as the tank, who protects teammates from monster attacks. This required strong durability, high health points, defense, and resistance, and the gear worn was mainly defensive, such as heavy Plate Armor and bulky shields, for example.
"What level are you? I am level 25, and my little brother is only level 13," Biyue Qingkong asked further.
"That’s perfect, I’m level 21. We’re all around the same level, so we could try the 10th floor," Huang Yi said.
"Then let’s add two more DPS players!" Biyue Qingkong thought for a moment, "But it might be hard to find them since my little brother isn’t skilled, and he might hold us back."
"No need, the three of us will do!" Huang Yi shook his head. As a Rare Race and Rare Class Holder with a violent DPS path, his Attack Power far surpassed that of regular players. Moreover, his weapon was a Blue Weapon, while most players only had Green Weapons. Huang Yi’s personal damage output could match that of two or three regular players.
Plus, Huang Yi wanted to keep his identity secret. If they teamed up, all his teammates would know his name, and he didn’t want to reveal himself to strangers.
"Alright then! Let’s give it a try," said Biyue Qingkong, sending a team invitation to Huang Yi.
Huang Yi immediately accepted, joining Biyue Qingkong’s team.
Now, he also saw the Little Fatty’s name, which was quite whimsical—the Wind Blew the Fatty Away. The name was as mischievous as its owner.
"Ah? You’re Instakill..." At this moment, Biyue Qingkong noticed Huang Yi’s name and exclaimed in surprise, drawing the attention of those around. She quickly swallowed the rest of her words, only staring at Huang Yi with a look of utter shock.
Instakill! In the eyes of all players, this was a significant name for several reasons, one being his slaying of the 250-level Hydra Death Scales. Another reason was his infamous actions in Wind Forest Stronghold a few days earlier. Some players had recorded Huang Yi’s brutal killing spree and posted it on forums, and with Chen Yuxi and the others smearing his name, everyone had formed a notion of Huang Yi as a cruel, bloodthirsty demon. Then a complete video released anonymously had cleared his name completely, revealing the whole story. The incident went through many twists and turns, causing quite a stir, and almost every player had heard about it, including Biyue Qingkong.
She never imagined that the person she had casually saved would be such a controversial figure!
