Heroes' Prison Chapter 60
Huang Yi looked up and ahead, where the forest clearing was empty, devoid of any structures. The only thing out of the ordinary was a small pond. The pond itself was quite ordinary, its edge overgrown with moss; a gentle breeze blew, causing the pond water to glisten and a few leaves to float on the surface.
"Where does the White Dragon King reside?" Huang Yi observed carefully for a long time but couldn’t help asking. In his imagination, the dwelling of the White Dragon King should be a huge crystal palace, splendid and luxurious beyond compare. He didn’t expect to see nothing but emptiness ahead.
"Squeak!" The large monkey immediately stretched out its paw and pointed forward.
Following its finger, Huang Yi saw the small pond.
"Are you saying that small pond?" Huang Yi asked, puzzled.
"Squeak!" The large monkey nodded vigorously.
Huang Yi became curious. Such a small pond, containing stagnant water that probably couldn’t even sustain fish, how could it be the abode of the White Dragon King?
He couldn’t help but walk over, crouched by the pond, and observed the water closely.
After a while, Huang Yi suddenly discovered that there were tiny creatures in the pond, similar in size to mayflies, smaller than a fingernail, with a pair of little wings, a distinct head, and claws, all white in color. They were the spitting image of dragons from legends! Only countless times smaller, and people with poor sight might not even be able to make them out.
At this moment, these dragon-like insects were swimming freely in the pond, which, for their tiny size, might as well be as big as a lake!
"Could these tiny beings be from the Bai Long Clan?" Huang Yi frowned as he asked the big monkey.
"Squeak!" The big monkey vigorously nodded once more!
Huang Yi’s frown deepened.
Dragons, the most noble creatures of legend, were said to have the strength to overturn rivers and split mountains, and were as large as small hills, exuding power and grandeur. But unexpectedly, the Bai Long Clan was as minute as mayflies, barely visible; this completely overturned his previous knowledge of the Dragon Clan.
Could there be some trickery here? Huang Yi pondered.
Ever since he arrived at this island, everything he had seen was so aberrant. The trees here grew hundreds of meters tall, fish swam in the air, elephants were as small as mice, and the monkeys here didn’t eat bananas but fish...
It seemed that everything here was the exact opposite!
So, could these mayflies be the same? The Dragon Clan was originally as large as small hills; if they were to conform to the rules of this place, they would have to become as tiny as mayflies.
With this thought, Huang Yi turned his head towards the pond and said politely, "Respected White Dragon King, I have traveled a long distance to come here. May I have the honor of speaking with you?" After speaking, Huang Yi watched the small pond intently.
Suddenly, a tiny White Dragon swam towards him. When it reached the surface of the pond in front of Huang Yi, it leaped out of the water like a water flea, jumping onto Huang Yi and landing in his ear.
"You’ve finally come..." Huang Yi heard a faint voice, which was somewhat old and vaguely familiar.
"Are you... that old man on the ferry?" Huang Yi suddenly thought of the Ferryman, as this voice sounded almost identical to his.
"Yes, I am the White Dragon King," the voice neither confirmed nor denied.
At this moment, Huang Yi suddenly made sense of several previous doubts. No wonder the old man on the ferry knew Bai Long Lake so well, no wonder he had left them after guiding halfway across the island and had the big monkey lead them the rest of the way—it turned out he was the White Dragon King.
"However, that Ferryman is just an avatar of mine, not my true form," said the White Dragon King solemnly. "The Bai Long Clan has always been kind to guests. Since you have come from afar, I naturally wanted to meet you in my true form. What exactly brings you here?"
After thinking for a moment, Huang Yi honestly replied, "I came for that Holy Aura."
"As I thought," said the White Dragon King with an air of expectation, "I already made it clear on the boat, the Holy Aura seals an evil entity at the bottom of the lake. Should the Holy Aura disappear, Bai Long Lake would turn into Purgatory. Although my strength isn’t threatened by this evil entity, the other living beings in Bai Long Lake would be destroyed, and I cannot allow that to happen."
Speaking, the White Dragon King’s tone grew colder, "Of course, if you have enough courage, you could try to seize it by brute force. Although I am not as strong as the generation of the White Dragon King who defeated Bloodhoof, I am more than capable of handling you."
"May I know what exactly this evil entity is?" Huang Yi asked. If he could find a way to destroy the evil entity, the concerns of the White Dragon King would no longer exist.
"That evil entity is a memory too painful to recall..." said the White Dragon King softly, "In Ancient Times, an exceptional being came to this continent, walking on flames. Wherever he passed, the land turned into dark red Scorched Earth, erupting with scorching Magma; not a blade of grass grew, and the entire continent’s living beings were in torment, suffering a tremendous catastrophe. Later, the Ancestor of White Dragon stepped forward and fought a heaven-shocking battle with this exceptional being in the mountains. In the end, the mountains were blasted into a deep pit, and both were gravely injured. The exceptional being had his legs severed and fled with serious wounds, while the Ancestor of White Dragon also suffered irreparable damage."
"Is that evil entity the legs of that exceptional being then?" Huang Yi guessed.
"Indeed! The legs left behind by that exceptional being were burning with fierce flames, continuing to scorch this land. And because the Ancestor of White Dragon was severely wounded, his strength greatly reduced, he could no longer destroy those legs. Eventually, he stealthily entered the Divine Realm through a spatial fissure, stole a Holy Aura, and sealed the evil legs. Afterward, he stayed in that pit, where the battle had taken place, until he died. And that pit became today’s Bai Long Lake, the homeland of our Bai Long Clan, where our ancestor’s Heroic Spirit watches over us forever."
"I admire the noble spirit of the Ancestor of White Dragon," said Huang Yi sincerely.
"Of course! He is the faith of our Bai Long Clan!" exclaimed the White Dragon King, openly expressing his admiration.
"You just mentioned that the exceptional being from Ancient Times came walking on flames. May I ask what his name is?" inquired Huang Yi thoughtfully.
"He is the legendary Harbinger of Doomsday—Lucifer."

Sorry, I am currently on a business trip in Suzhou and just saw that this book has made it to the homepage, ranking 11th on the new book list. Thank you all for your support!
The signal in the hotel room is not good; I’m writing this Chapter in the hotel’s corridor. This is the first time I’m writing a novel in a corridor and it feels a bit strange. I apologize, but the next Chapter will be delayed again...
