Heroes' Prison Chapter 55
Huang Yi’s successor continued scrolling down, looking through the evaluations of various celebrities, from the China Region to the United States, country by country.
The Poet really was talented; he had a good understanding of famous players from all over the world, had broad knowledge, and knew a lot. His assessments were sensible and practical.
Huang Yi took a full three hours to finish reading the post and gained a lot from it. He now had a general understanding of many of the world’s top players, an endeavor which would have likely taken him three months to gather on his own.
The forum was the largest intelligence gathering center, combining the wisdom of billions of players, and many enthusiastic players like the Poet were organizing and inventorying, saving a lot of trouble.
Huang Yi checked the time and saw it was getting late; he decided to exit the forum and enter The Second World.
However, just as he was about to leave, his eyes glanced at a new featured post, which was related to him—
"Instakill Incident Complete Video"
Huang Yi couldn’t help but stop. The reason the forum had debated his feud with Chen Yuxi was that Chen Yuxi’s video had been edited, casting doubt on its authenticity. If there was a complete video, then everything would be clear.
Now, someone had actually posted a complete video, which had even been featured, indicating that this post wasn’t just clickbait but was indeed genuine.
Huang Yi’s curiosity was piqued, and he clicked to watch.
The poster of this thread was anonymous, clearly not wishing to reveal their name, probably for fear of attracting trouble.
Huang Yi began to watch the video. It started recording from the moment Chen Yuxi and his two companions prepared to attack Huang Yi, including when Little White Cat took a punch for Huang Yi, and the subsequent events such as Chen Yuxi’s trio killing Little White Cat and more, all unedited and shown in full.
The video continued until Chen Yuxi and his companions were killed by Huang Yi. The part where the Beast God appeared was missing, probably because the recorder assumed that the incident had concluded and thus didn’t continue observing.
Huang Yi analyzed the video and noticed that the perspective used was a God’s-eye aerial view, unrelated to the recorder’s actual position, so it was impossible to deduce where the recorder was at the time, which made Huang Yi rather solemn.
He hadn’t noticed any outsiders on the scene then, and Little White Cat’s self-destruction hadn’t killed the recorder, indicating that the recorder had highly skilled stealth and survival abilities. And the profession that possessed both these skills was that of an assassin—a very adept assassin!
Huang Yi surmised as much, and though he didn’t know what intentions the mysterious observer had for spying on him, the release of this video to clear his name at least indicated that there was no malice. It could even be said that they were on Huang Yi’s side.
This video was posted two hours ago, and the number of follow-up comments had already exceeded ten million, with the count still rapidly climbing.
Huang Yi skimmed through the comments. This time, there was no longer any disagreement among the players; their opinions were highly unified, all vehemently denouncing Chen Yuxi and his two companions.
Due to the video, the scene where the mother cat used her body to shield Huang Yi from blows was truly heartbreaking, especially the part where she self-destructed in the end. People were deeply moved by the mother cat’s maternal love, and this feeling eventually turned into an intense hatred toward Chen Yuxi and her two companions!
Some of the more outspoken commentators even went as far as to insult the mothers of Chen Yuxi and her companions in a crass manner. Because it involved too many explicit descriptions, the system censored many of the words, often half of the words in a sentence were blocked, but even so, one could guess the general meaning.
Then there were the pragmatists, who called on players from all over the world to continue the pursuit and punishment of Chen Yuxi and her companions. They sought to find out to which country’s continent Chen Yuxi and her companions had reincarnated, and then have the players of that country look out for them, killing them on sight. As soon as Chen Yuxi and her companions reincarnated to another continent, players from that continent would take over the pursuit, ensuring that Chen Yuxi and her companions would never have a moment’s peace, unless they completely left The Second World.
...
At this point, the farce finally came to a real conclusion. Huang Yi triumphed completely, both in The Second World and in the court of public opinion on the forums. As for Chen Yuxi and her group, they were subjected to relentless pursuit by countless players because they had deceived so many with their manipulated video, and they found no peace even after reincarnation.
Next, Huang Yi entered The Second World, reappearing in the guest room of Osmanthus Inn.
At this moment, the Little White Cat lay sprawled on the bed, sound asleep and snoring. The stray dog, Little Wang, lay lazily on the ground, his eyelids continuously flickering as if torn between the desire to sleep and the need to keep watch over the surroundings.
Startled by Huang Yi’s arrival, Little Wang immediately sprang up, his fur bristling while he opened his mouth, revealing his sharp fangs in an aggressive stance as if ready to attack a stranger.
But when he saw that the person was Huang Yi, he paused in surprise and then promptly flopped back onto the ground, belly up toward the sky, exposing his stomach to Huang Yi and wagging his tail non-stop, indicating he had no hostility and asking not to be hurt by mistake.
"Hmm, Little Wang, you’ve done well," said Huang Yi as he squatted down and rubbed Little Wang’s belly. Dogs indeed are very loyal animals, sometimes more reliable than humans.
"If you want to sleep, sleep! I’ll watch over you," Huang Yi spoke and stood up, moving to the window to look out at the world beyond.
It was now noon, and the blazing sunlight fell on the forest outside the window, with the merry chirring of cicadas and the calls of birds lulling one into drowsiness. From the window, one could only see the endless expanse of forest, the end of which was unknown.
As soon as the Little White Cat awoke, they would continue on their journey, aiming to find the Holy Lake as soon as possible, awaken the Little White Cat, and then head to Dragon City to find Number Nine and meet with the organization.

I’ve seen some readers questioning the too fantastic abilities of the Eye of Time, and here is a further explanation. The Eye of Time can’t see through the proactive actions of players, that is to say, it can’t see the future of players, it can only see the future of NPCs, and this future isn’t years or decades ahead, but rather what NPCs will do in a few seconds. Because NPCs are actually part of the system, the protagonist is just knowing a little bit in advance what calculations the system is going to make, which is explainable.
For example, if a monster is going to attack the protagonist in 5 seconds, the system decides on this, the Eye of Time sees this. Another case is when the player and the system’s behaviors are combined; if it’s a system-driven action, it can also be seen. For instance, when a player dies, whether the system judges them as deceased or eligible for reincarnation is up to the system, and so the protagonist can see such computations. However, the protagonist cannot see what a player will do after reincarnation, whether they will drink water, flirt, or eat – all of this is unseen.
Finally, this Chapter is a bit late, sorry about that. I had to attend a dinner party this evening and came back quite late, writing until now.
A new day begins, please recommend and collect! Thanks to Great Qin Vanguard and Dong Huang for their generous rewards!
