Khushi’s P.O.V.

I was getting confused at the behaviour of api and Arhaan. Muhib Vai just kept standing there silently. I also didn't get myself to utter anything between them.

When Vai and Arhaan left, I spoke up, "Api, it's not necessary. I can go by myself. Yesterday I didn't have the money to get a taxi that's why Rifan dropped me home."

Api spoke up smilingly, "I know dear. You don't have to explain. And I have no problem. You can go with Rifan if you are comfortable."

I spoke up then, "No Api. I will go by myself. And you don't have to worry about this."

Api uttered then, "Okay then take a car with you."

As I was not habituated to have a car with me always, I kept on insisting not to take a car and api agreed with me at last.

Then getting ready, I got downstairs. Taking leave from Esha and promising her that I would buy chocolate for her, I turned to leave only to get stopped as api asked me, "When will you get done with your classes?"

"I am not sure, Api. May be 4 by afternoon." I replied and she nodded smilingly and uttered, "Take something as lunch and be careful on your way."

I nodded at that and left for college in a taxi with a thought in mind that now there are some people who care for me. The thought automatically brought a smile on my face.

At college, I just attended the class without bothering to talk to others. When I was done with my classes, I got out of the class room and forwarded towards exit.

I was about to get a taxi but remembering my promise to Esha, I dropped the idea and forwarded towards a restaurant right beside the college.

Buying two chocolate packets, I paid the bills and was about to leave but got bumped to someone at the door.

I immediately uttered, "I am sorry" and looked up only to find the person no other than Rifan who was busy with eating chocolates.

Hearing me, he smilingly replied, "It's okay, Khushi." and forwarded a chocolate to me as he uttered, "Have some chocolates. I don't know whether you like chocolates but this one is really amazing to eat."

Seeing his look, I couldn't get myself to deny being a crazy chocolate lover and took that.

Taking a bite of it, I smilingly uttered, "It's really amazing, Rifan." as we got out of the restaurant together.

He uttered happily, "I told you that."

I nodded at him smilingly and while taking a bite, I looked forward only to get startled as Arhaan was standing there while giving us a strange look.

Arhaan's P.O.V.

Arriving at the parking plot of my office, I stopped the car and was about to get down but got stopped as a purse came to my sight.

Looking at it, I remembered it was of Khushi and she forgot it yesterday. Taking the purse, I uttered, "Was it the reason she had to take lift from her friend? Maybe she didn't have the money to get taxi or something."

I thought in mind, "Then did I misunderstand their relationship! But anyways why am I even thinking about this? It shouldn't matter to me whether they have any type of relationship, right?"

And then putting the purse aside, I got down from the car and entered the office building and got busy with my work.

After being done with the last meeting after lunch when I entered my cabin, Aman came in with my permission. Putting a file in front of me on the table, he spoke up, "Sir, this is the information you asked for."

Taking the file in hand, I spoke up, "Okay, you can leave."

Getting through the information, a smile crept on my lips as I thought of a plan and immediately called Vai.

When I told vai everything, he spoke up, "Arhaan, are you sure of this? As you know if your this plan gets success, they will.."

Hearing this much, I spoke up interrupting him, "They deserve this vai."

Vai spoke up the fact, "Arhaan, I am referring to Khushi not them. Do you think Khushi will let you do that? As much as I got to know her, there is no possible way for her to agree with us on this." which I totally ignored as I made up the plan.

When I got silent, Vai spoke up again, "Arhaan, shouldn't we at least give Khushi some hints that we are going on with some kind of plan? Talk to her for once at least."

I cut off the line after uttering, "Okay, I will do that."

Cutting off the line, I thought in mind, "No, I can't tell Khushi about it all. Rather I can make it look like I didn't do anything."

Getting me all confused, my mind uttered, "Why are trying too hard? It's not like they did any wrongdoings to you, Arhaan!"

I kept thinking about it for a while while seeking the reason and at last uttered under my breath, "Because of them, I got dragged in all this. So it's obviously their wrongdoing to me, isn't it?" only to get silent as my mind uttered, "Like really?"

I got all startled when my phone rang off as I was too busy with figuring out whether there was another reason.

Looking at the caller ID, I immediately answered it and uttered, "Yes, Api."

She asked in her casual tone, "What are you doing vai?"

"Just got done with a meeting api. You tell me what are you doing?" I replied only to hear her bored tone, “Nothing much. Esha is sleeping and none of others are back home yet.”

I got uttering before I could realize, “Isn't Khushi back yet?”

Api replied only to get me irritated, “No. She will be back by four. You don't worry. Rifan will drop her home.”

I got silent hearing her and she spoke up again, “Ok vai. You finish your work and come home early. Allah Hafiz.”Saying this, api cut off the line and I turned to check the time. It was almost 3 PM.

I need to talk to Khushi. with this thought, I left the office and forwarded towards her college getting in my car.

When I reached at the college gate, maybe that time classes got finished for some departments as I saw many young boys and girls getting out of the college.

But getting no sign of Khushi though I kept waiting for a while, I forwarded towards the entrance.

I was about to enter the college but got stopped as I caught the sight of Khushi getting out of a restaurant with the very same guy, Rifan.

They were happily eating chocolates. Khushi was really looking so relaxed and happy with him that I couldn't help glaring at him.

She was never that much happy with me. But why?

Khushi got all startled and stopped right there when she caught the sight of me as I was staring at them.

Seeing her like that, Rifan spoke up, “What's the matter, Khushi?”

Right then I reached there and uttered looking at that guy, “Excuse me, there. Would you mind if I take Khushi home today?”

Giving me a glaring look, he asked, "Who are you?".

While answering, "I am Khushi's" I stopped at this point and turned to Khushi as I got curious to know what she would say about me to him.

And as expected Khushi answered after looking at me for once, "He is Arhaan. Areesha Api's brother and my friend."

I couldn't help uttering under my breath, "Yeah, that's the most right thing to say."

Rifan was giving me a weird look and making an annoyed face at that, I turned to Khushi and spoke up, "Shall we go now?"

Nodding at me, Khushi turned to Rifan and uttered, "Okay then, Allah Hafiz."

Rifan spoke up smilingly, "Okay, Allah Hafiz. See you tomorrow."

Hearing that, I forwarded towards my car without bothering to turn back to check whether Khushi was following me.

But she followed me nonetheless. I opened the car door for her and uttered quite harshly, "Get in."

Giving me a surprising look, she got in. Closing the door, I got in the driving seat and kept driving towards our home silently.

After few minutes, I turned to Khushi who was just looking outside. Then getting remembered of something, I opened a drawer and took out the purse and forwarded towards Khushi.

When I uttered, "Khushi?", she turned to me and getting the sight of the purse, she spoke up, "Where did you find it? I thought I lost it."

"You forgot it yesterday in my car." as I replied normally, she took the purse and uttered, "Thank you."

Though I didn't intend to ask Khushi but to my utter surprise, I ended up asking her, "Khushi, who is Rifan to you actually? Just your friend or someone beyond that?"

When she replied, “He is not my friend.”, I spoke up again, “Then?” only to get her giving me a confused look as she uttered, “I am not getting you. What are you referring to, Arhaan?”

I got silent at that while thinking to figure out my behaviour....
