Khushi's P.O.V.

Last night kaki came to my room and said to me that Abbu was calling me for dinner.

Being confused, I went to dining table and took my seat. Everyone was silent at dining table and after dinner when they were about to leave, Abbu turned to me and spoke up, "Arhaan is coming here with his family tomorrow evening. I don't want to hear any negative word from anyone. Mark that otherwise it won't be good for you."

Saying that, he left from there and I stayed there being all puzzled. When I was going back to my room after a while, I heard my phone ringing in the living room.

I got near the phone and glancing at the caller ID, I answered the call immediately only to hear her yelling voice as she spoke up, "What is it Khushi? You didn't even call me for once and when I kept calling you, you didn't even answer my call."

I kept silent hearing Preety and then she uttered in a concerned tone, "What happened Khushi? Is everything alright?"

Hearing this tone, tears started rolling down my eyes and I kept sobbing.

Preety spoke up again tenderly, "Khushi? What is it, dear? Tell me."

Wiping my eyes, I told her everything about the incident of that night and whatever was happening now.

Hearing me, she just uttered, "What?"

I asked her finding nothing as a solution of this, "What should I do, Preety? Arhaan must be hating me now also. All he did was helping me and these all are happening."

She kept silent for a moment and then she spoke up, "If we see this from his side, he isn't wrong Khushi. He just helped you then."

I uttered, "I know. But what should I do now?"

After keeping silent for a moment, she spoke up, "I have a solution of this but you please don't tell me still you want to be with your so called family."

Being confused, I uttered, "What do you mean?"

She told me her plan and I just uttered, "No, Preety. I can't do it."

Then I heard her uttering, "Then what do you want? The people you kept saying your family, are they like really your family?"

I kept silent hearing her and she spoke up again, "I know it will hurt you if I say this but it's true, Khushi. They are no one near to be called as your family and you know this too. So will you please stop being an unwanted person there let alone becoming somewhere else also by obeying them this time?"

When I tried to speak up something, she again uttered, "You know my mother always says one thing to me.

It’s Never do to others what you do not want done to yourself.

And this time it's not just about you as you will be making someone else also doing something against his will. He will also feel just the way, you always felt. It's not right Khushi."

Giving her word a thought, I spoke up after some moment, "You are right, Preety. I can do anything with myself but I can't make anyone else do this along with me especially when he just tried to help me."

She spoke up then, "Right. Then do whatever I told you. Talk to Arhaan and I will take care of the other things."

Preety cut off the line saying, "Okay then. You don't worry. Everything will be alright. I am hanging up now. Good night."

When Preety cut off the line, I found there were another missed calls. I checked that only to find it was Arhaan.

I thought of calling him but dropped the idea at last. Going to bed, I kept thinking should I really do it this way though I already agreed with Preety for it.

What if Arhaan refuses to help me!

My mind answered it immediately, "Then you will remain stuck here like always but it will be different from back days."

Giving that a thought, I remembered some words of Ammi.

Never beg for your happiness, Khushi. Rather find your own way of staying happy. As you owe it to yourself to find happiness. So if you don't find it then create it even if it takes you to be a little bit of selfish. It’s okay dear.

A little bit of smile crept on my lips remembering Ammi though my eyes got teary. Remaining like that for a while I shook my head and uttered under my breath, "Right. Whatever it is, this time I will try to get free from all this."

While thinking like this, I didn't get to know when I fell asleep.

Next day Evening Time

I was getting ready when Esha came to my room and spoke up cutely, "Aunty, we are here."

I smiled at her and being ready, I got downstairs with her. Though others were talking happily but like me, Arhaan also was silent. I was seeking for an opportunity to talk to him alone.

And finally when Abbu said it, I stood up at once. I got back to my room and Arhaan followed me. While hesitating, I told him to help me out for the last time.

Giving me a confused look, he asked, "What do you mean?"

Looking at him, I spoke up, "Just say yes for this marriage." only to hear him uttering, "What?"

Before he started yelling at me, I spoke up, "I know you don't want to marry me and so do I. But we have to agree first to end this."

"Have you gone mad? Why are you creating complications? We two can mutually say no to this marriage. That's it." hearing me, he uttered in annoyance.

Then I uttered under my breath, "That way I will be stuck here forever." only to get a confused look as he spoke up confusingly, "What did you say?"

"Arhaan, believe me this time. You won't regret this and you don't have to marry me for sure and our families will get stopped going this way on their own."

I literally pleaded to him but before he could answer me anything, we saw Kowshik vai entering the room, as he spoke up, “Are you two done talking? Let's go downstairs now. Everybody is waiting for you two.”

Glancing at me for the last time, Arhaan left from there and vai spoke up, “I hope you didn't say anything stupid to him. As if he says no then..”

I looked down as I was getting really well what he meant from his tone and expression.

Then he also left from there. I didn’t feel like going downstairs again so I kept standing on the balcony with teary eyes. After sometime, I saw them leaving. Before getting into the car, Arhaan turned towards my direction for once.

I didn’t know if he saw me as I switched off the light as soon as I saw him turning.

At night I got downstairs to know what Arhaan said but Abbu and Vai didn't utter anything about that rather kept silent and I didn't muster up the courage to ask about it.

After dinner I got back to my room and kept thinking about it until I fell asleep at some point.

Arhaan's P.O.V.

After talking to Khushi when I got back downstairs, everyone looked at my face like they were trying to get what's on my mind. Without bothering that, I got near Api and spoke up, “We should leave now.”

Api gave me a confused look and then turned to Khushi's father and spoke up, “Uncle, we will take your leave now. I will call you tomorrow.”

He seemed to be little bit of upset hearing api. Glancing at him for the last time, I left from there following Api and Vai.

Before I got in the car, I looked back and Khushi was still standing in the balcony but as soon as I turned, the light got off.

Then I got in the car and Vai started driving it. I kept thinking about Khushi's behaviour at which I was literally confused.

Arriving home, I was about to get upstairs but Vai stopped me. Api got upstairs with Esha as she was feeling sleepy and Vai and me sat in the living room.

Vai asked me then, “Where are you lost?”

“Vai, I was thinking..” while saying, I got stopped not getting what to say and understanding this, Vai spoke up, “Don't force yourself. Just tell me what do you really want to do. I will handle Areesha and other things. You don't worry.”

I was about to say something but got interrupted as my phone rang off. I looked at vai and he spoke up, “Take it. We will talk later.” and left from there.

Answering the call, I got back to my room. It was from Aman who talked about the recent project for which I was preparing. It would be a great for my company if I got to make the project a success.

When I was busy with my laptop, Api came to my room. Before I could say anything, she spoke up, “Vai, you can take the decision as you feel like. Though I want you to say yes but as you know I don't want to force you for anything.”

Saying this, she smiled a little and spoke up again, “Dinner is ready. Come downstairs. Okay?”

When I nodded at that with a smile, she left my room.

After dinner, I got back to my room and tried to get some sleep but the pleading look of that girl, Khushi kept bothering me and I started thinking what should I do now.

All this time api was stick on it to make me say yes and now when she left it on me, I am getting confused what to do.

I kept thinking what's actually the matter with this girl. Why is she asking something like this to me!

Can't she just talk to her family regarding this!

But whatever it is, I just don't want to get married and not to her at least.

But after giving this a good thought, I uttered under my breath, “She asked me to help her not to marry her.”

And my mind replied to that immediately, “All these are happening because you just helped her back then. So what if something happens again!” making me all silent and confused what to do now......
