Khushi’s P.O.V.

When I got back to living room with Esha, Areesha Api was talking to Vai. I couldn’t get to hear the all but the last sentence of Api which made me get shocked and I couldn’t help uttering, “No. I can't.”

Api and Vai both turned to me and Vai scoffed in irritation. Though it was very normal behaviour of Vai to me but Api seemed to get shocked.

Getting a phone call, he left the house immediately but not before saying something to me while glaring.

When Vai left, I put Esha down and she started jumping around in the living room and I got near Api.

Api was still looking at the way as Vai went out of the house. Getting near her, I spoke up, “Api?”

She turned to me as I tried to justify Vai's anger on me. I tried to portrait Vai in a good way in front of her while expecting that come out to be true though I already knew deep in my heart that I was expecting something quite far from possibility.

I didn't know Api believed me or not but she spoke up getting me all startled, “I really want you to marry my brother, Arhaan.”

I tried to convince her otherwise but she kept sticking on the very same point. She also did portrait of her brother in a good way like me but I knew she was telling the truth whereas I was just telling her something that I, myself wouldn't buy.

When Api completed her say and gave me a hopeful look, I kept staring at her for a while then spoke up, “Api, it's not like I think Arhaan is a bad person and his misbehaviour with me, though I didn't understand that time but I got it later that there was always a reason.”

I was about to continue again but interrupting me, Api spoke up again smilingly being all excited, “Then can I consider your consent to this proposal?”

While shaking my head, I spoke up, “No.” and the smile on her face faded away as Api uttered, “Why?”

I uttered under my breath, “Because I don't want to give him another reason to misunderstand me.” but didn't say anything.

And when Api asked me again, “Khushi?”, I spoke up, “Api, that night he was just trying to help me as per the demand of the situation out of humanity. I don't want to turn that action of him this way. And my family will forget all of this in few days. You don't worry about me. I am fine but you please don't go on with this.”

Hearing me, Api smiled a little and then spoke up, “Khushi, there are something, I must say. Firstly, it's not about your family but me. I know your family will understand the situation but I want it to happen. Secondly, you don't know Arhaan that much to know that he is not a person to do something like that just out of humanity. Thirdly, Arhaan who rarely get out in foul weather, he got out that night even after I forbid him to do so. Don't you think its all are nothing but fate?”

I wasn’t understanding what should I say to her. May be Api got me and spoke up again, “Leave that. You just tell me two things.”

I gave her a questioning look and she uttered again, “Do you have someone in your life? I mean a person you like? You can tell me”

I spoke up while shaking my head, “No api. It's not like that but ”Interrupting me, she spoke up again, “And you think Arhaan is not a bad guy, right?”

Without answering her, I spoke up, “Api, you are” but got cut off as we heard my father uttering from behind, “Mrs. Zaman, you here?”

Api uttered smilingly, “Assalamu_Alaikum, Uncle. Actually I came to ask you if you have sometime in these days. If yes, then I would like to visit you with my family.”

“You are always welcome but is there any special reason for this?” He asked api getting near us after glancing at me for once.

Api spoke up looking at me smilingly, “To talk about Arhaan and Khushi's marriage.”

Abbu got silent hearing that but I tried to refuse and uttered, “Api, please don't..” but she didn't let me complete and uttered, “Uncle, do you have any problem if we accept Khushi as Arhaan's wife?”

Abbu spoke up with a little bit of smile, “No. Actually that will be great as people are already thinking like that. So if it becomes true, there will be nothing to worry.”

I didn't expect Abbu to agree like this and again tried to utter something but when Abbu shot me a glare, I got totally silent.

I looked at Api who was just happy hearing Abbu maybe imagining something. Abbu again spoke up, “Then I will wait for you people to visit us.”

Api talked to Abbu for a while after that but nothing was going through my mind as I kept thinking what will Arhaan think of this!

Api caressed my hair smilingly getting me out of my thought and uttered, “We will come soon, Khushi. Till then take care. Allah Hafiz.”

Taking our leave, Api left with Esha who kept insisting on taking me with them for a while. She only get convinced when Api said, “We will take your aunty with us forever. To do preparation for that, we need to leave now, sweetie.”

Being all excited she uttered, “Aunty will be with us forever?”

Api smilingly nodded at that and she again spoke up smilingly, “Okay then let's go. Do preparation quickly so that  Aunty come to us.”

I was looking at them being speechless and when they left, I turned to Abbu and got shocked as he was looking being irritated at the way api and Esha went out.

Then he turned to me and uttered, “What was all that?”

I tried to say, “Abbu, Areesha Api” I but cutting me off, he uttered, “I am not talk about them but you. What were you trying to say in between? Listen Khushi, you have already done enough to embarrass us and when its getting to be solved, what problem do you have?”

I got dumbstruck hearing him and he continued, “Be grateful that they are being like this. Don't you dare try to do something ridiculous to make them think otherwise. As I don’t know what will I do then to get over that embarrassment you made me go through.”

He left the place leaving me behind puzzled.

Arhaan's P.O.V.

After office I got back home in the evening. Api was preparing something in the kitchen. Seeing me, she spoke up, “How was your day Vai?”

I replied smilingly, “It was fine api.”

Hearing me, she nodded and spoke up, “Okay now go and get freshen up. Then get downstairs. I have something very important to talk to you.”

Without getting upstairs, I got near the kitchen and asked her, “What is that api?

She pointed towards upstairs and spoke up, “Get freshen up first and then come to the living room.”

Nodding at her, I uttered, “Okay api.” and left the place.

After getting freshen up, I got downstairs and sat in the living room with a newspaper. Esha came running to me then and spoke up, “Mama, you know Aunty is coming to live with us forever.” and I just took that normally and asked her, “How?”

Making me all startled, she spoke up again, “Mummy said that you will marry her and she will be with us forever.”

I couldn’t help uttering, “What!”
