Selena paced up and down in her apartment's living room; she could not believe this was happening to her right now.
How was this happening to her? How did this situation get to this point? She questions herself, grabbing her hair tightly.
What was Rose still doing, alive and healthy? She was supposed to be dead!
How was this possible? She saw her body lying on the floor, and the vehicle hit her right in front of her.
She was confused. What was she going to do now? She needed to think quickly before she lost everything she worked hard to get.
"Ahhh!" she screamed out loudly. Groaning out of frustration before slamming back down on her faded black couch.
She thought of her life these past few months and how she had enjoyed everything she once wished for.
Selena had always been envious of Rose's wealth, connections, and seemingly perfect life. It ate away at Selena every day, gnawing at her soul.
And on that fateful day, consumed by her jealousy, she left Rose to die on the streets out of pure spite.
Months passed with her living her life to the fullest, and when she thought she had gotten away with her dark secret, she buried it deep within her heart.
But No! To her dismay, that bitch decided to return, unharmed, rich, and even more powerful than before.
Her world was now suddenly turned upside down as panic and fear gripped her. She couldn't imagine a life behind bars.
Selena could barely comprehend the sudden reappearance of her once-dead friend.
She knew so far, from what she had watched from afar, that Rose was now a powerful figure who effortlessly commanded respect and admiration from everyone around her.
Selena's life, filled with deceit and envy, seemed meaningless in the new Rose's presence.
She sat on her couch, thinking of various ways to approach Rose in the best way possible. She knew from their just-concluded meeting with Rose that she definitely hated her.
She was definitely unfit to bear the weight of poverty again, and Selena knew she had to face Rose and confront her past actions. She had to approach Rose with trembling hands and a heavy heart; her action needed to seem like she was ready to face the consequences of her jealousy-driven betrayal. She needed to act like her sidekick again in order to escape this.
Selena thought of several ways she could plead for forgiveness. Rose's eyes, filled with a mix of sadness and disappointment, flashed through her eyes once again, making her swallow the huge lump that had formed in her throat.
Selena fell into a deep slumber, letting her mind wander to a dream Land where everything was perfect and worked out.

She picked up her phone, looking at the screen before sliding it and placing it on her ears.
" Hello........" She talked.
Selma stood up again, pacing around her living room after getting off the phone with Ryan. She couldn't believe what was happening or why it was happening to her.
How could he do this to her? She asked herself

I'm sorry, Ryan. I love you, but not enough to sacrifice my future, she said, staring into the darkness from the giant mirror placed beside her bed in her bedroom.
