Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Chapter Twenty-Five

Author's Pov

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the city, Rose sat on the wooden chair placed on the balcony of Alfonso Villa, enjoying a peaceful evening alone. She wanted to spend her last peaceful evening enjoying a cup of tea and calming her mind down before she began facing the world again the next day.

She had only been married for one month now, but the attention she was getting from the media seemed unbreakable. It made her wonder sometimes if both her exes knew about her already, as they were the ones who always kept up with gossip.

Alfonso also stood at the front of the balcony in front of his home office. His gaze was focused on his wife on the other side of the building; her eyes were closed, and she had a cup of tea in her hands. The setting sun's light radiated on her face, showing off her beauty even more.

He was lost in the sight beside him until he heard the sound of a car pulling up in front of the mansion. Alfonso's heart skipped a beat as he recognized who the driver was. It was Ethan, his ex-girlfriend, who had disappeared from his life after they both had a huge argument years ago.

He knew her presence in his life only meant one thing, which was trouble. Nicole was anything but a good person; she was an ambitious bitch who only thought of herself and could do anything to get what she wanted.

Fear and confusion washed over his face as he watched him step out of the car, though he tried to hide it. Her eyes were still filled with malice, just like before.

Nicole's sudden reappearance sent shockwaves through his mind. Memories of their tumultuous relationship flooded back, reminding him of the disgrace and embarrassment he had endured while he was dating her. All the times he had to drag her drug-nake ass across the bar, or was it when she had assaulted sales personnel several times? He couldn't help but ask himself the same question several times.

What exactly did he see in her that led him to date her? He always wondered.

She was good in bed, that was for sure, and she was always good at pushing away all those gold diggers who had surrounded him at that time, but aside from that, he saw nothing in her.

But the good thing now was that he had moved on, built his empire stronger, cleared all the scandals around him, and found happiness in his work. More importantly, he was now married and comfortable. But now, it seemed that his past had come back to haunt him again as he watched her approach the mansion.

----------------------------------

After that day, Nicole wasted no time in making her intentions clear; even after she was disgraced and chased out by Alfonso, she still wasn't ready to give up.

She began gathering anonymous letters filled with venomous words and their past photos to use against Alfonso.

The photos were carefully crafted to undermine his relationship with Rose, planting seeds of doubt and suspicion in her mind.

She refused to let him live a peaceful life if it wasn't going to be with her.

Alfonso's once peaceful life was now about to be overshadowed by fear and uncertainty.

Rose found out what was going on after numerous threat letters were sent to her, asking her to give up on Alfonso already as he wasn't hers.

She decided to confront Alfonso with the whole truth so as to know where to go from there.

After much conversation and planning, they were determined to protect their plan from being revealed and getting into the public's eyes. Rose told Alfonso that it was about time that they both confronted Nicole.

They invited her to the mansion, hoping to reason with her and put an end to her malicious games.

Nicole, determined and confident, walked through their front door, her eyes gleaming with a twisted satisfaction, making Rose look at the woman before her with nothing but hatred and a little bit of jealousy.

Nicole's eyes revealed that they were consumed by jealousy and bitterness.

She blamed Rose for taking Alfonso from her and for her own failures, and she wanted to destroy her happiness as revenge.

"Well, that went awful," Rose said as she looked at the back of Nicole, who was storming out of the mansion.

"I told you it was a waste of time trying to reason with her." Alfonso replied, scratching his forehead and blowing out air from his mouth frustratedly.

As the days turned into weeks, Alfonso realized he felt so comfortable with Rose, his mind always lingering on how she was, what she was doing, and if she was okay.

While Rose focused on her revenge plan, she needed everything to go as planned.

Nicole sat in the cafe on the other side of Alfonso's company, watching the glass window closely.

She couldn't believe Alfonso was going to dwell on the past and choose that bitch over her.

She refused to let this end like this; it needs to end the way she wants it to. Picking up her phone from her bag, she entered a number on it, her gaze not leaving the company.

She averted her eyes from the company windows to the door, the phone still in her ears. She saw Alfonso walking out of the company in all his manly glory.

Yes, that's her man, she thought, smirking to herself.

"Hello mam," the man on the other side called out.

"I need some details on the wife of Alfonso Tommaso and everything evolving around that woman. I want you to send them to me as soon as possible." She barked into the phone, making the man on the other side whine.

She cut the phone off, not waiting for whatever reply the other man had to give her.

---------------------------

Alfonso walked into the mansion, his maid greeting him along the way, but he only responded with a nod. His mind right now was on the lady upstairs in her room. All he wanted was a glimpse of her before going back into his study to finish up the rest of his work.

He placed a knock on her bedroom door and waited patiently for a reply, his heart beating. When he got none, he twisted the door knob slightly, peeking his head slightly through the door. His eyes came into contact with an empty room.

He stepped inside the room, his gaze sweeping around it before stopping at the balcony door, which was now open.

He took long steps towards it, stopping his steps when he saw her leaning against the rail. He stood there admiring her beauty for a moment before clearing his throat.

Rose whirled around, checking whatever the source of the sound coming from behind her was.

"Alfonso," she called out, the sun kissing her face, making her beauty radiate more. It was as if she was modeling for the sun.

He stood there with his hands deep into his office pants, staring at her, trying to come up with an excuse as to why he was here at the moment.

His heart was beating as he kept staring at her face. It was at that moment that he realized something.

He was officially in love with Rose Alexander Alfonso Tommaso. Fuck, he loves the sound of that, he thought.
