Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Alfonso Tommaso Pov
Looking at my friend and wondering why he was grumpy, I decided to just let him be for now and ask him later, as I had a lot on my plate as well.
"So what's this about a rose you were talking about?" He asked.
"As I said, she's a lady I saved when I went to Canada the other week for a business meeting with Mr. Andrew." I was trying to remind him of our last visit to Canada.
"Why am I just knowing you saved a girl, and why are you getting married to her again?" He asked, looking at me with a confused expression.
"I was going to introduce her later on, bro, but that's not the problem; she left, and I think she might be in trouble as we can't find any traces of her right now." I gave him my iPad to watch a video on it.
The video showed the last place she was captured on camera. It was a few miles away from here, and my villa was the last one in this estate, making the back of my villa a little bit bushy.
It showed that she left in a car, but the problem is that we can't find the owner of the car, I thought, running my hands through my hair.
"It looks like she knows the person, considering the fact she looked happy seeing him and also hugged him." He dropped the iPad back on the table.
"I don't see the problem here; she's not missing, so you can't report the case; maybe she decided to go back to her." He said it again, looking at me, before taking his laptop and typing a few things on it.
"But that's the thing; I already asked someone to check over there for me, and she's still missing, and no sign of someone has been seen in her house in Canada." I said I was blowing out a breath of frustration. I was starting to get tired of this whole drama.
I was seriously angry at the moment. We had an agreement, and if she knew she wasn't comfortable with it, she could have told me instead of running away like a chicken and making me worried about her, I thought.
Seriously, Alfonso, since when have you started getting worried about someone other than your family or yourself? My brain asked me
I was seriously worried about what would happen if the person who took her was working hand in hand with her ex-fiance. For all I know, she could be dead right now or held hostage in a place I don't know about. And most importantly, I need a wife urgently; my marriage is supposed to hold next week, but right now I am not even sure of anything.
" Dude! What the heck has man been calling you?" Picasso said this before looking at me curiously.
"Have you fallen in love, dude?" He asked, chuckling.
"Shout up!" I snapped.
"You know why I need her; we are having a meeting next week to talk about my father and grandfather's will, and now lover equals no will, and no will equals a very spoilt, annoying, and rich cousin, so just keep quiet and help me, dude." I said, glaring at him.
"Whatever, dude, you know you can just go find another woman, right? I mean, it's not like there are no more women in the market." He said he was wiggling his eyebrows at me.
"Admit it, dude, you are my love, right?" He said it again.
"Can you just stop it? I'm not okay; you know I don't do this love shit." I said, glaring at him.
"Whatever, so..." he said, but stopped to look beside him as the head of my security guard walked up towards me, bowing slightly.
"Sir, we have sent the plate number of the car; it's being tracked as we speak. I will like to go there to be able to track it with them." Rico said.
"Sure, and please keep me updated, Rico." I said, nodding my head at him.
"Yes, sir, I will let you know if I get anything." He said before making his way out, bowing a little towards Picasso, making his expression change as he slightly frowned at him before murmuring something to himself.
So, as I was saying, Picasso, I need that lady." I stopped half way as I saw the man I was talking to was somewhere else.
Turning I looked at what he was looking at to see that his attention was on Rico, the chief of staff of my security.
What exactly was going on here? Was there something going on between these two? I couldn't help but wonder. I knew my friend and the look in his eyes meant something, but right now I can't place my mind on what exactly it was.
I coughed to get his attention. I smirked, looking at him. "Are you having something with my chief staff?" I asked, still smirking.
"Yeah, right, and what can I possibly be having with him, Alfonso?" He said he was crossing his legs.
"You can deny it all you want, but those looks in your eyes say otherwise, Picasso." I said, wiggling my eyebrows at him and mocking him some more.
"Whatever Alfonso, I was only looking at him to confirm if he was okay, as he was bleeding earlier on." He said.
"And to think you did not bother to ask if he was alright." He was glaring at me a little.
"Whatever Picasso, you don't expect me to apologize for everything I do to them; beside, they should be used to it by now, and if they had just done their jobs well, there would be no need for all these in the first place." I waved my hands in dismissal, showing I was done with the topic.
Raising my head up, I looked at him to see he was already looking at me, frowning a little before rolling his eyes at me and taking out his phone to do something on it.
Looking at my friend, I couldn't help but wonder if something was really going on between them.
