It's early in the morning and Aurin just came out of the shower having a relaxing bath. Standing in front of the mirror she started drying her wet hair when a pair of familiar hands were wrapped around her waist. A sweet smile formed on her lips feeling the soothing touches all over her belly.

" Happy Anniversary, wifey," Mikaeel whispered in Aurin's ear kissing her nape.

Aurin answered giggling," Happy Anniversary, hubby. I still can't believe we just spent a whole damn year together."

" I want to spend the rest of my life with you," Mikaeel said inhaling her scent that makes him lose his sanity every time.

A year passed since their marriage and both of them can't believe it even after having so many arguments, fights and disappointment they are together. Specifically, Aurin is so excited and happy about this day. She always wanted a husband who would respect her, care about her emotions and love her crazily. And, she got a husband like that.

Yes, Mikaeel wasn't like that. He was a big jerk but recently Aurin has noticed remarkable changes in Mikaeel's behaviour. He doesn't act egoistic and cold. He doesn't lose his patience early whenever they have any argument.

He has become quite than before and prioritize Aurin first just like he promised to her. He loves her and cares for her like any other doting husband. Aurin always wonders what happened to him suddenly that he has changed into an entirely different person.

Aurin still can feel that Mikaeel is worried about something. She asked a lot of times about the reasons behind this worriedness but he always ignored this question giving excuses. Aurin felt like for the last few weeks Mikaeel doesn't seem worried anymore so she didn't dig this matter anymore.

" So, it's our first anniversary, wifey. What do you want from me?" Mikaeel asked nuzzling his nose on her smooth skin.

Turning behind Aurin rested her hands over his shoulder and demanded," I want a baby."

Mikaeel's smile vanished in the air and he frowned his brows. Though he was annoyed by her demand he didn't show it on his face.

" Looking at your face it's seeming like I have asked for a very difficult gift," Aurin let out chuckling but Mikaeel can feel the disappointment in her voice.

Letting out a sigh Mikaeel started explaining," You are only 23. Why are you so eager for a baby? Enjoy the life with me. We can have a baby anytime we want."

" I knew it. I knew that you aren't going to fulfil my wish. You always reject me about this matter. Do you have any idea what your mother calls me because I haven't conceived yet!! She calls me barren," Aurin said sounding disappointed and looked in another direction.

Then, she said almost whining," Look at your brother Miraz, he got married after you and now he & his wife are expecting a baby. And, look at us. Still, we are not sure if we should have a baby or not."

" You shouldn't compare our relationship with others. It's not like I don't want a baby. I do but I am not mentally prepared to be a father. Try to understand, please," He explained his perspective and Aurin agreed getting disappointed but she didn't show the disappointment on her face.

Cupping her face in between his palms he said excitedly," Why don't we just go for another honeymoon? Maybe we should explore the world more instead of burying ourselves under diapers and feeders!!"

" Sounds interesting though. I want to go.....ummmm......" Aurin started thinking about the countries she knows when Mikaeel proposed," How about Turkey?"

" Really!! Can I meet Can Yaman there? I just love him so much," Aurin said drooling over Can Yaman.

Looking at Mikaeel's annoyed face she said gulping down," I mean I love his dramas."

" Should I show you some dramas of mine, hmm?" He asked raising one of his brows.

She replied rolling her eyes" Like I haven't seen your drama yet."

" My cute wifey!! Come here," Mikaeel whispered tickling Aurin's waist and her giggles started echoing in the whole room.

Taking her to the bed he laid her down and hovered over her. Kissing her lips passionately he opened her clothes while some moans left Aurin's mouth.

" I haven't had breakfast yet," Mikaeel said suddenly breaking the hug.

Aurin answered," Shall we go? Let me put on my clothes."

" I can have breakfast here," He said rubbing her wet core having a naughty smile on his face while Aurin's cheeks turned red.

It's evening time and Aurin & Mikaeel are busy celebrating their first anniversary. Their family, friends and relatives are here too but Mikaeel's father Jamshed was missing from the whole event.

" Ammi, have you seen Abbu?" Mikaeel asked his mother but didn't get any satisfactory answer.

Mikaeel was wondering where is his father when Aurin said," Let's cut the cake."

" Hmm," Mikaeel hummed and they forwarded their legs towards the cake.

Mikaeel was ready to cut the cake with Aurin when someone held his right upper arm from behind. He turned behind and a harsh slap landed on his face making everyone startled by the sudden sound.

For a few seconds, there was pin-drop silence where Mikaeel's face was still turned in another direction. Aurin continued standing like a statue placing a hand over her mouth.

Jamshed dragged Mikaeel to another room and reaching there it didn't take an eternity for Jamshed to make Mikaeel's other cheek red.

" Do you have any explanation where

** billion went from our reserve?" Jamshed asked fuming in rage but Mikaeel remained silent.

He knew that today or tomorrow his father is going to know that he has lost ** billions to Maryam. And, everything happened because of his stupidity. He should have cancelled the deal before the things could go out of hand.

" Even you sold our Lahore branch to another company!! Are you out of your mind?" Jamshed shouted holding Mikaeel's collar but Mikaeel remained silent.

Jamshed started yelling on Mikaeel's face," It took years for me to build this business and become the number one businessman in the whole country. I wasn't born into an aristocratic family like you!! I inherited nothing from my father instead I build everything on my own and what you did? You just lost ** billion which is almost half of our reserve! Why did you do that?"

" I am gonna earn it again. I promise," Mikaeel promised having no other choices.

Jamshed snapped at Mikaeel," Do you still think that I will let you sit in that chairman's seat again? From this onwards, you aren't a part of my business anymore."

Hours later Mikaeel was half laying on the bed closing his eyes when Aurin laid down on his chest. Automatically his fingers started brushing her silky hair.

After the disaster at their anniversary party, Aurin asked Mikaeel what was the matter but Mikaeel didn't say anything to her. He just said that it's just a business matter that he messed up and that's why his father reacted like that. Aurin knew that it was not a mere business matter but thinking about Mikaeel's mental situation she didn't ask any questions further. She keeps herself away from his professional matters.

" Wifey, do you believe me?" Mikaeel asked suddenly.

Aurin answered snuggling into him more," Hmm. I do."

" How much? Do you think I can cheat you ever?" Mikaeel asked out of nowhere when Aurin looked at him confusingly.

She said sounding surprised," What happened? What are you even saying suddenly?"

" Let's sleep. I know that you believe me," Mikaeel said kissing her forehead where Aurin was still confused.
