"I thought I lost you there," He said when we let go of each other. "Please don't scare me like that again."

I nodded and then looked around. I saw Jack not far from us. I turned to him. "Thank you for saving me, Jack. I owe you my life."

"You're welcome. I was glad I was there when you needed someone." He said and smiled at me and I did the same. "Are you fine now?"

"I am, all thanks to you," I said.

Wade cleared his throat and I turned to him. He looked dangerous. What is wrong with him?

"I should go ahead, Camierre," Jack said so I turned to him. I nodded at him and he left immediately. "I'll see you around."

I nodded and waved at him when he was about to leave.

"See you around? Who is he? How do you know him?" He said the moment that Jack left.

"I met him earlier today," I said weakly. I remembered how rude I was to Jack earlier and I was guilty. I should have been kinder to him. He saved my life even though I didn't show much interest in talking to him earlier.

"Are you alright? Does anything hurt?" He said and looked at me from head to toe.

"I'm fine; can I go back to the villa now?" I said. I am exhausted and I need to rest.

"We will. Can you walk?" He said.

"Of course I can, I'm fine now," I said as a matter of fact. I have recovered as I didn't drown fully all thanks to Jack.

We walked back to the villa and Wade was trailing behind me just to make sure that I wouldn't fall or something as he said. Where was he all this time?

"Did you have breakfast already?" He said when we entered our room.

"No," I said. I wasn't really hungry earlier so I forgot.

"What?! It's almost ten in the morning and you didn't have breakfast yet? Or did you forgot because you were too busy flaunting your body to everyone out there?" He said.

I turned to him and anger boiled inside me. Really? That's what he thought what I was doing?

"What did you say?" I said.

"Why were you even out there wearing that tiny piece of cloth?" He said as if he was accusing me.

"Wow! We are on a beach and I wanted to go swimming. What do you want me to do? Wear a coat and pants?" I said angrily.

"People were looking at you! That man Jack was looking at you." He said.

"People have eyes, Wade. They could look to whatever they want." I said. If you are upset then so am I.

"Why did you go out there alone? Do you want them to think that you are available and ready to mingle?" He said. That was a low blow. There he was thinking again that I could ruin our public image.

"Why? What's it to you? It wasn't like you were there to join me." I said bitterly. I looked at him and he was stunned. I got you! Where were you?

"I was out for some business, Cami. I thought I could come back in time but it was wrong, it took longer than I expected it to be." He said.

"Yeah, right," I said. "And here I thought there were no business things for the rest of the week."

"I know and I'm sorry, okay?" He said. "It was urgent."

"Of course it is," I said. "It always is."

"But still, you shouldn't go out there alone especially on the sea when you couldn't even swim." He said as if he was lecturing me.

"I was just having fun! What is wrong about that?" I said. "I was just enjoying myself."

"You don't know how to swim yet you went on the deeper part of the sea. Wasn't that a little too reckless?" He said as he threw his arms in the air.

"Can you not insult me like that? I know it was my fault but I didn't do it on purpose, okay?" I said. This conversation is annoying as hell.

"I am not insulting you, okay? I was just stating the fact that what you did was dangerous. You could've gotten yourself killed!" He yelled at me.

"I know that already, okay? You don't have to slap it to me. I know that! Did you think I liked what happened? I didn't! I was scared! I thought I was gonna die earlier. I was about to accept the fact that I was gonna die there." I said and burst into tears. What happened came back to me and the feelings I felt earlier as well.

"Look, I was just concerned, okay? I was worried. I thought I was gonna lost you. I couldn't forgive myself if anything happened to you while you were on my watch. I'm sorry for yelling at you." He said as he hugged me tightly.

"I'm sorry, okay? I was just having fun and I didn't pay enough attention to where I was." I said and hugged him back.

"Okay, that's fine now. You're fine. Let's get you fixed and we'll have breakfast. You must be starving." He said when we let go.

"I can manage; don't bother," I said and took my clothes then headed straight to the bathroom. I was in my floral summer dress when I went out. Wade was sitting on the bed when I went out.

"I ordered foods. Let's eat." He said as he looked at me gently. What is wrong with him? Earlier he was mad and now he's gentle. If I am confused then it must be because he is confusing as well.

I nodded and together we went to the table.

"So, how did you meet that Jack guy?" He said when we were about to start eating. I guess we weren't done with this conversation.
