—The Plan goes wrong

Anika POV as Ariana

I could see how King Darius' eyes widened in fear when I shifted into my werewolf form. I don't know what just happened but I felt a sudden throb in my head and a dreadful pain throughout my body. But it doesn't matter anymore. I growled and raise my white paws at him. I can see how frightened he was the moment he saw my true form but he still dared to raise his samurai and whirl it towards me. I leap higher and shove his face with my claws.

Drops of blood rained on the floor. He winces in pain.

"You're a monster! I should have killed you myself!" He screamed at me and to my surprised, he shifted into his original form.

It's no ordinary werewolf-like me but an evil lycans. I remembered when my adopted parents got killed by a humanoid wolf-like him. I still remember how they tore my parent's flesh into pieces.

I gritted my teeth and prepare myself. This is not an ordinary fight but this is the fight to the death. For me to defeat him, I need Marcos's help but what took them so long to come and assisted me.

Arem went back to Marco and Karl shivering. His body trembled like he saw a ghost and both of them ask him if Anika did the job. He can't even speak. He's tongue-tied like someone cut his tongue to communicate with them. He closed his eyes and tried to regain himself. He must help her or else he can't get his wife's back.

"I saw--- It's hard but I saw a wolf! " he stuttered.

Karl rushed to him and asked him whom he saw? Marco quickly ran to the King's room.

"I saw Anika, she turned into a wolf! What are you, people? Is my wife's a monster too?" Arem shook Karl's shoulders but he had no time for drama.

Anika needed their help or else she might die. He knew how dangerous the king is and he can kill her instantly. He's a demon king.

"I'm not like them. Let's go and help her. We can talk later but we had to stick with the plan!" Karl said and they both followed Marco but they stop when a bow of arrows sneaks inside the inn. Karl's leg got shot and he can't walk properly.

"Fuck! I guess, someone followed us!" Karl mumbled while wincing in pain.

King Theus POV

"My Lord, a report came and they heard that a young lady named Anika is looking for her parents in Salem! We also found out that Annie is her mother." After I heard what my Beta reported to me, my heartfelt hope.

It's time to look for my daughter and heir of my territory.

"Where can we find her?" I asked my Beta.

"In Valkyrie Kingdom, my Lord!" He said and I called everyone to prepare for a long trip.

It's my time to find her. I miss my daughter so much. How can Annie keep her from me? It's been almost eighteen years since she ran away when my wife found out about our relationship. It's an accidental affair but I have the right to claim my daughter, she possesses the royal blood of a wolf.

We traveled for three days and two nights until we reach the Valkyrie Kingdom but it seems like it's very quiet. I saw a fire inside the palace. I ordered my men to get inside and investigate.

My beta Damian set a signal to follow him. We do as he told. When we get inside the palace, everything looks messy like a war just took over the place.

"My Lord, I think something happened here! A war occurred just a minute ago." He explained to me when we saw dead bodies on the floor.

I heard a commotion under the dungeon. Smoke came from there so I was the one who checks it. What if my daughter was inside, kept, and tortured?

We navigated the pathway down until we teach the dead end. I saw a huge fire outside the prisoner's cell. I saw a pack. They're in a werewolf form. So they keep monsters like them too. What if my daughter was inside? I heard loud growls inside as the fire thickens.

"What do we do? We might get killed with fire?" Damian told me but I quickly shifted in my wolf form.

I can't let them die. They need my help and they're innocents.

"Ahhhh!" I ran near the fire and hit the prison door with my giant body and I did well. The lock opened and they ran out from the blazing fire.

I ran too and followed them. We head back to the King's throne. The packs I helped waited and turned back to human again.

One of them came forward. Maybe he was their senior.

"Thanks for saving us. I'm Rahal of the Blue Night Packs but we must go. Whatever you came for, do it quickly while everyone is gone!" He said and I wanted to know why all the soldiers are gone and their king.

Maybe they knew about Anika. I need to find out.

"Wait! Where is everyone? Why they let this place on fire?" I asked him.

Rahal took a deep breath. It's good to keep it a secret but he helped them so I think he can trust this man.

"May I know first why you're here if it's okay to you, sir?" He said.

Damian went forward.

"Pay respect! He's King Theus of Reggedon packs! He's here to find a girl named Anika! Do you know her?" He explained to them.

Reez was the one who replied.

"Yes, she's a girl who out everyone in danger! Now, our Alpha is with her in the city of Salem!" She told the King. Rahal just stayed quiet.

"I got a link from our Alpha and this is not good. Let's go!" Rahal ordered his packs.

King Theus called them.

"Wait, we'll go too!" He said and Rahal continued running with his packs.

King Theus didn't waste a time. They ran with them howling in the darkness.
