Ariana Pov as Anika
Ariana POV
Finding myself inside Argus's room made me feel nervous. I know I was too careless about Anika's identity but I had no idea that he was also there and the worst fact is, he was the chosen Alpha of all races for a leadership award.
"Good to know that you're awake," he said after seeing me in a good state.
I quickly got up from his bed and I roamed around to find my dress because I think I was wearing a loose t-shirt which isn't mine.
"Don't worry, I told Melinda to laundry your gown. I lend you my t-shirt." He said calmly.
"Who undress me? Was it you?" I asked him while covering myself with his sheets.
He laughed so hard like a total bad boy. He leans closer to my face like he was purposely doing it to tease me. I glared at him.
"Wow, I'm not that kind of a guy if that's what you think. Merlinda did it, don't worry." He smirks.
"Let's go. Let's eat downstairs before we will have a serious conversation here." He told me and left me alone.
I cupped my heart and I try to remember about last night. My head throbs about that night how I ended up here. The only thing I recalled is that he pulled me to the forest and he asked me why I am at the party too.
That's it and I forgot what happened next.
"Arghhh, why I was like this? What did you do to me, Argus Mateo? Why I find it hard to forget you!" I asked myself.
I think I had to ask him myself how I end up here. What about Sebastian and Denise? What will they think about me now if they find out I didn't go home last night. I think I will check my phone and made them a call.
I got up from his bed to find my bag but I couldn't find it. How dare he keep my bag from me? Due to my frustration, I decided to go downstairs to meet Argus for a breakfast.
I was on my way down when he saw me first. He smiled at me and waved his hands for me to come down. I set an angry look at him.
"Come, have a seat" he offered me a chair like a true gentleman.
I accepted it and help myself. I am about to ask him about my bag but I think he could read my mind.
"About your phone, it was broken but I called Denise not to worry and I'll bring you home after this" he talks like he was my father.
"How did my phone broke? Tell me what happened to the two of us last night?" I can't sit here just to listen to his false stories and I think I made the wrong choice of choosing him over my husband.
He filled his plate with beef steak before answering my questions.
"You want to know? I'm afraid you will be surprised if I tell you." He simply warned me.
What is he talking about? I want to ask him to tell me everything but we were interrupted by a sudden call from his phone.
"Excuse me," he said and I let him.
While he was talking to somebody, I heard rumbling sounds inside my stomach. I hold it and it feels empty. I haven't eaten anything since I attend the party that is why I felt hungry.
"Let me try this one" I mumbled while taking a fried hotdog on my plate.
I continue my breakfast without him. It's almost five minutes and he hasn't come back yet. I feel worried and confused. I clean my oily lips with a tissue and made my way to find him in the living room. I was three steps away when I saw him talking to a guy. I can't tell who he is because he was facing the main door. His posture looks familiar to me. I waited for him to looked back and it happened.
I was shocked at what I saw. It can't be. He was Anika's past lover. How come they knew each other when he deeply broke Anika's heart by messing up their wedding.
Three hours earlier
Argus PoV
" Good morning, Argus. I called you if I can come by at your place?" Jerick called but I was not in the mood to meet him besides Ms. Perez is here in my place.
I made an alibi.
" Jerick? Is that you? When did you come back?" I said to my old-time friend.
"A few days ago. Can I drop by?" He begs and I can't let him down. She was my sister's fiance but she's dead now.
Maybe I can introduce Anika to him like my girlfriend. It's not my intention to plan all of this but since he always teases me for not having a mate in my entire life, maybe he will shut his mouth when saw her.
" Fine. Just come." I said and I went upstairs to check if she was still unconscious or not.
Last night was my first time seeing her like that. I had no choice but to keep her from them.

"Hello, Argus, I'm here!" Jerick called him and Argus excuses himself to Anika.
"I'll be back. I need to answer this call." He told Anika and stood up from his seat after taking one but of his beef steak.
Anika nods her head. She waited long so she followed him outside and he has no idea what to do or react because the person he was talking to was Anika's ex-boyfriend Jerick.
This is it, her first mission finally went by to herself. She has no problem finding him anymore but how come they knew each other. Ariana has no clue why knew him.
Whatever it is, it's none of her business anymore. Her first mission was committed to her mind. She remembered everything about what Ergo told both of them about their mission.
"Broke his heart and start over again. If he wants to come back, tell him that your love died the day he didn't show up on your wedding day!" It's what the genie Ergo said.

"Anika?" Jerick mumbled as he saw her near the stairs.
Argus was surprised that both of them knew each other.
"Jerick?" Ariana replied.
