Chapter 100: Chapter 100

Mia sat close to her mom, crying and shouting for help. But no one was close enough to hear her. Just then, she felt her mom take her last breath.

Mia sat down, devastated close to her mom's corpse; her world had been shattered into a million pieces.

Tears streamed down Mia's face as she clutched the lifeless body of her mother. Now, memories were her only remaining link to the love and warmth that had once filled their lives.

Mia had searched desperately for a way to bring her back, but nothing worked. The Mundara powers, once a source of fascination and wonder, now seemed like a cruel joke, taunting Mia with their elusiveness.

But she kept on trying, maybe she wasn't doing it well enough. Each attempt ended in disappointment, leaving her feeling more powerless than before.

The Mundara powers felt like a curse to her. Now, her husband was captured and possessed by the demon her father also possessed, and he had to go this far to kill his own wife whom he adored and loved without measure. You could see it in his eyes when they were together, how he loved her.

The loss was unbearable, and the weight of guilt settled on Mia's shoulders. She blamed herself for everything that had transpired. It was her curiosity about the Mundara powers, her relentless pursuit to understand, control, and save Alex with it that had led her mother down a dangerous path. She felt responsible for bringing her mother into a world filled with darkness, a world that ultimately claimed her life.

Her hands trembled as she touched her mother's body, desperately seeking any semblance of comfort. But all she found were painful realizations that she wasn't coming back. Mia sank to her knees, her hands gripping her mother's body, holding it tightly to herself again, crying bitterly.

Mia cried and cried until she couldn't think about anything anymore to do.

She sat there thinking about what could have happened to her father that would push him to kill the person he adored and loved the most in the world. Her dad had never shown her such care and love he showed her mom.

What could have happened that he would go this far? Is it true that the demon also took over him?

Is he by any means connected to the demon or working for the demon? Mia started having a headache and drifting off to sleep because she had exhausted herself from the journey and too much crying.

"I won't let this be in vain, Mom," Mia whispered, her voice quivering. "I'll find a way to control these powers. I'll make sure your sacrifice was not for nothing. I'll save Alex and all the werewolf clan," she made a promise.

Soon enough, she slept off, resting her head on her mom's corpse.
