Chapter 66: Chapter 66

Jessica woke up around 6:30 am, her flight was booked for 9 am. She started to move her box to the living room. Shortly after doing that, she walked to her bathroom to have her bath.

She heard her phone ringing from the bathroom and she quickly rushed out with her towel wrapped around her waist.

Jessica picked up her phone to see her friend's name, Angie, displayed on the screen and she quickly swiped up to answer the phone.

" Hello Angie," Jessica said happily.

" Are you awake Jessy? You know I can't wait to see you," Angie said over the phone.

"You have to wait for the next few hours to see me, you know," Jessica said, as she walked to her bedside to get a lotion to rub her body while she put her phone on speaker.

" Gosh, Why is Florida so far from Texas, so I need to start counting down right now babe, am happy we will be together again after three years," Angie ranted.

" It's not up to three years, it's two years and a few months," Jessica said with a smile. She walked to her wardrobe and picked the gown she had purposely wanted to wear for her trip.

" Hmm, do the approximation, I thought you were good at math," Angie shouted over the phone, and Jessica couldn't help but smile.

" You have to let me dress and get to the airport on time, except you want to reset your countdown," Jessica said, smiling.

" Okay, go get dressed while I wait for your arrival," Angie said and she hung up the phone after saying goodbye.

Jessica could not help but smile, she knew she was happy to have a friend like Angie. Her mind went to Misha and James and how they departed.

Jessica believed they are part of what caused her present situation because she believed if they did not try to hurt her, Edwin and her might not be together but she waved the thought off after remembering Edwin's conversation with her friend.

" Did Edwin set me up with Misha and Jessica?" Jessica thought in her head.

She couldn't stop thinking about how everything connected.

" Princess!" Mr. Graves exclaimed as he entered the room.

" Dad, good morning," Jessica said, walking toward her dad and she hugged him.

" Are you okay? Have been knocking on your door for quite some time, " Mr. Graves said wia th a narrow brow.

" I am okay dad, I was engrossed in what I was doing," Jessica replied with a smile.

"Okay, are you getting ready? Time is going," Mr. Graves said.

" Yes dad, I am ready," Jessica said, putting on her shoe and carrying her mini handbag and she headed to the living room with her dad.

Her siblings and mum were already dressed up, they carried her box and headed to the car pack and Mr. Graves drove them to the airport.

After twenty minutes of driving, They arrived at the airport, Tristan and Kristen carried her box and they headed in.

Jessica could not help it become teary when she was about to board the plane. The family of five hugged one another and they finally said goodbye, wishing her well.

Edwin woke up around 11 am seeing himself in Roy's apartment and he wondered why he was in his apartment instead of his.

" You are awake," Roy said, walking into the guest room.

" Yes, I did. How did I get here?" Edwin asked, holding his forehead with his hand.

" You don't remember?" Roy asked with wide eyes.

" Do you think if I do I will be asking you?" Edwin said with gritted teeth and continues, " can I get aspirin, this headache is killing me,"

Roy walked out of the room and came back shortly after with an aspirin tablet and a glass of water.

Edwin collected them from him and he took the drug.

He returned the glass to Roy and thanked him and he lay on the bed shortly after.

" What happened yesterday at the club? Edwin asked, looking at Roy.

" You hooked up with a girl yesterday and I noticed she left. When I did not see you after some minutes, I decided to check the room for you, then I saw you crying in the room, shouting Jessica's name. I tried to calm you down but you smashed my phone instead," Roy explained, bringing out his phone and he displayed it on Edwin's face.

" I did all that? " Edwin asked with wide eyes.

" Yes, you did. Guy, do you want to hear the truth?" Roy asked, looking at Edwin.

" What truth?" Edwin asked, making eye contact with Roy.

" You are in love with Jessica, stop denying it and look for her," Roy said.

" In love? Do you know what you are saying? Do you forget who I am?" Edwin asked Roy a series of questions, giving him a stern look.

" Yes, I remember who you are. You are almighty Edwin Turner, a player who never falls or believes in love. But guess what? You are fucking in love with Jessica, just stop being stubborn and talk to Gary," Roy suggested.

" I can't do that, she will come back for me," Edwin said in affirmation.

"Really? Do you check what you sent to Jessica last night," Roy said with a sly smile.

" What did I send to her," Edwin said, looking for his phone.

He hurriedly checked his email, and checked the sent folder but couldn't find anything.

" What did I send Roy, I can't find it," Edwin said, breathing heavily.

The last thing he wanted right now was to look weak in front of Jessica.

He has promised himself she must apologize to him before taking her back.

" What did I send?" Edwin asked again, looking at his friend.

Roy turned and was about to leave the room and said, " You send nothing, stop being stubborn and seek help."

"Fuck you, Roy!" Edwin shouted and he stood up and ran toward Roy but Roy already escaped him.

" Just fucking wait for me, I am going to kill you," Edwin shouted.

" Who will bring your drunk ass home next time if you kill me?" Roy said, laughing.

Edwin could not stop thinking about what Roy just told him, " Am I really in love with Jessica?" Edwin asked himself, rubbing his face with his palm.
