The Question

ANDREAS POV

I push the doors to the cafeteria open and walk in, for a few seconds everyone turned to look who had entered but turned their attention back to their friends when they'd seen who it was. Walking over to the servers i grabbed a tray and placed six slices of pizza on it before getting myself a drink then head over to the table where the guys sat already having lunch.

"Sup guys" i say taking a seat

"Hey Dre" they greet

"Lu still isn't here today huh" i say noticing her absence

"Yeah she still hasn't shown up today i feel so bad for her she's really hurting" Harley says

"I can't believe Alana would do something like this especially to Lucy. I mean betraying us is one thing but to allow your mate to go through such suffering, that's just heartless" Merlin voiced

"We still don't know if she joined up with her father or not so stop saying she betrayed us, for all we know they could have kidnapped her" Aquarius defends

"Come on aqua open your eyes its obvious by now, she disappeared three days after avoiding all of us not just Cat. Sylvia doesn't know where she is and we can't sense her presence anywhere just like Noah's own disappeared. And don't even bother with that kidnapped bullshit, its lana we're talking about that girl is a prodigy one of if not the strongest hybrid in the world she's the best of both worlds. It'd be one hell of a showdown before someone could kidnap her and there would be evidence of that" Freya admonishes

"Don't be too hard on her love she's just saying what we all hope" Jace says to freya

"I know but it's been two weeks since she disappeared we all have to face the facts"

We all gave let out a huge sigh

Everything has been so awkward since the day they visited the hybrid pack. After witnessing Cat killing Jasmine Alana refused to talk to or go near Cat and a few days after they left her there she disappeared without a trace, not even her mother knows where she is. This has affected all of us in different ways.

Cat's battle confidence seems to have left her, she always looks so defeated and keeps questioning her every move, the rest of her friends are stuck between believing in the bond they shared, hoping lana wouldn't betray them and having to face the reality that she may have.

I hate to see everyone like this, we've all become so close over the period of time we've know each other and though i may not show it I'm really hoping Alana didn't betray us. But what troubles me most of all about this situation is the toll its taking on Lucy.

She hasn't left her room in the past two weeks that have gone by she didn't even come to training with us. She is at the mercy of the mate bond right now especially since she and Alana hadn't mated yet the need to be near her is way worst than if they had been. She looks like one of the undead she creates, with her pale skin and sunken eyes.

And to top it all off Gabriel's goons keep on attacking us every other day. Turns out some of the packs that sided with Sam earlier still didn't know he was the son of Lucifer and when they found out, they themselves turned against us and joined with Gabriel.

"Lucy is strong guys she'll get through this" i tell them

"Yeah we know bro but it still doesn't make this sucks any less" Eric says

"This is so messed up everytime i look at her or Cat i can see the pain radiating from them lana meant the world to them and she basically abandoned them" brooke says

Speaking of Cat where is she?" I ask

"She said she'd meet us here she stopped to talk to some girl from our class, it seems the girl was new or something" Aqua shrugs

"She seems so preoccupied lately how are you guys doing?" Merlin asks

"We're good i guess but i just feel like our relationship isn't quite there yet. I don't know maybe me just need an extra push" i stated honestly

"Maybe you should try taking her on a date" harley suggests

"Uh how does that work again?"

"Holy hell you're not serious are you?" Aqua asks while brooke chokes on her drink

Don't judge me ok all i've been doing for the past couple centuries is going on missions and fighting wars besides there was no such thing as dating when i had a mate so excuse me if i don't know what it is"

"Ok you do have a point there. A date is where you take someone to get to know them better. Grab a bite to eat and have some fun while throwing in a few romantic gestures" Freya explains

"Hmm, i think a date is exactly what Cat and i need especially with all that's going on right now"

"Alright people i need ideas, spill"

"Get your own ideas your not the boss of us" jace says

"Uh technically i am"

"Oh please we all know Cat runs this show even yours" Eric says

"Whatever just give me some ideas for crying out loud"

"Fine fine. The beach is nice this time of year maybe you guys could have a dinner under the stars"

"That's too cliche there's this really cool karaoke bar in town that harley and i went to the other day it has this aesthetic vibe to it you should take her there" Liam says

"Interesting"

"Wait wait i have the prefect idea" Aqua announces

"What's the one thing Cat has always love ever since she was a kid?"

"Carnivals" they all say at the same time

"Exactly!"

"But there aren't any carnivals in town" i say

"True but there will be one in the next town over tommorow night"

"That's a great idea Cat is obsessed with carnivals ever since the Freeman's went to one when she was a kid and didn't bring her, then jasmine came back boasting about how fun it was. She always wanted to go but didn't get to" Merlin says

"It's settled then I'm taking her on a date to the carnival"

"Cool now you just have to ask her. You don't need help doing that do you?" Jace teased

"No i don't i know how to ask a girl out ok"

"Sure" he drawls

I look up when the cafeteria doors opened and in walked Cat. She smiled and walked over to us after getting her lunch.

"Hey y'all" she greets

"Hey Cat" they responded

"Hey babe, are you ok?" She asks

"I missed you" i pout

"Sorry i was talking to Anne then i went to pee" she says giving me a peck on the lips

"Is that the girl you were talking to when i left class" Aqua asks

"Yeah, ever since the first day of school i kept seeing this glowing aura around her. I couldn't quite tell what she was so that's what i went to talk to her about"

"And did you find out?"

"She's like Adonis she comes from a long line of ancestral witches and she's the last of her kind. She says she lives in the neutral zone and disguises herself as a human so she wouldn't be found"

"Well that explains why she's always by herself" Freya says

"Yeah. I tried inviting her to our table but she was too shy so she decided to come over another time. But she did give me this amazing broach though" Cat says showing us the accessory in her hair

"Its so beautiful" harley compliments

"I know right"

The broach was indeed beautiful and it complimented cat's hair perfectly, when i looked at it i felt something strange come over me but it went as quickly as it came so i paid it no mind, probably just the light rays bouncing off it.

"You may wanna hurry and eat Cat lunch ends in like fifteen minutes" Brooke tells Cat

"Oh uh by the way Cat i have something to ask you"

"What is it" she says giving me her undivided attention

I got up from my chair and went to stand before herb then i held her hand and got on one knee. Everyone had shocked faces except jace who was laughing his ass off.

"Uh Dre wha-what are you doing" Cat asks confused

"Cat will you go on a date with me?" I ask confidently

"What?"

"Will you go on a date with me" i repeat

She immediately bust out a laugh. I was confused a a bit hurt i mean why would she laugh does that mean she doesn't want to go out with me?

"Oh my gosh Dre who told you- hahaha i cant- wait give me a minute"

I continued to look at her as she laughed her heart out. A couple more seconds and she finally calms down before saying

"I'm so sorry Dre you caught me off guard"

"Anyway i would love to go on a date with you" she smiles

"Huh!?"

"I said I'd live to go on a date with you"

"So why were you laughing?"

"Because you went down on one knee and i don't know which of these idiots told you that's how its done but they're just pranking you. You didn't have to go that far you could have asked from your seat but i appreciate the gesture" she tells me before planting a chaste kiss on my lips

"Oh......" I say getting up from the ground as everyone tries to hold in their laughter. Luckily no one outed me on the fact that the didn't trick me into going on one knee

I feel so stupid but at least she said yes

Soon after the bell rings signalling the end of our lunch, we immediately start packing up our trash to throw away. As we left the cafeteria i say to Cat

"Can i come to class with you?"

"Why do you wanna come with me besides i don't think my teacher will let you in"

"I could care less about some insignificant bugs opinion"

"Behave" she reprimand

"But i didn't do anything"

"Can i please come with you math is boring and i miss you" i pout

"Alright come on you big baby" she rolls her eyes

"Who you calling a baby I'm a man" i say flexing my muscles

"Mmhmm, sure"

"You wound me babe" i say dramatically holding my chest

"Get a grip you too" Eric says rolling his eyes

"Shut up your just jealous because i have the most beautiful girl in the world" i smile and pushed a hair behind cat's ear as a blushed creeped up on her cheeks. It always amazes me how she can be so bold and yet so shy at the same time

"Uh first of all that is highly inaccurate, no offense Cat" Eric replies

"None taken" Cat shrugs

"Whatever, i know what am talking about" i say

"Whatever makes you sleep at night dude. Anyways we gotta get to class. See you guys later"

We all separated heading into different directions

Cat and i walk into her science class and took our seats. As always the idiots who unfortunately survived my siblings massacre on the hybrid pack stared at us, the fear in their eyes evident.

By now everyone knows of the war and its details, while some are willing to fight others have decided not to, but like i said either way we don't need them. All kingdoms are on lock down at this point especially the fairy kings forest. Word is, Cole has some type of powerful weapon in his possession, somehow Aphrodite found out about it and has been terrorizing the fairy kingdom for some time now but let's just say the fairy king doesn't take well to trespassers.

The staring of these pests starts getting annoying so i pulled down my shades and flashed my red eyes at them making them all turn around in their seats quickly.

"Oh how the mighty have fallen" i think to myself

If it were around this time last year they'd all be laughing and talking with their friends forcing Cat to sit beside the garbage bin while they threw paper and thrash at her. Now whenever we enter the class its all silence and the scent of fear reeks in the air. Whenever the class ends and the teacher leaves everyone else stays put until we've collected our things and walk through the door before they make a move. I guess these peasants have finally learnt their place.

"Good morning everyone sorry I'm late" the teacher says walking into the class room

I have no idea what's his name since i don't care to know. I don't even want to be here if it wasn't for Cat I'd have stayed home, binge movies and stuff my face with junk food. His mouth continues to move but I'm blocking out the words. Everyone starts taking out their books as the teachers speaks and writes on the board, i turn to see Cat doing the same as well. This goes on for another half hour until i couldn't take it any more

"Cat" i called out in a whisper but she ignores me

"Caaaaaaaaattt" i tried again

Once again I'm ignored

I huff in defeat, then almost instantly an idea pops up in my head. I smirk devilishly to myself as i took a note book and pen from my bag. Ripping off a small piece of paper and wrote a note on it.

"I'm horny give me attention"

Yeah that'll do, i smirk to myself and crumbled the paper into a ball before throwing it over to her table. It bounces off her head and falls into her lap, she paused writing to give me a death glare but still picked up the paper. She opened up the paper and read it, her cheeks turned pink despite her skin colour. She still didn't budge so i proceeded to send mental images of myself naked to her. Her blush got more intense with each image but she tried to play it off by rolling her eyes. Eventually she gave up and pulled her seat closer to mine

"Whatcha dooiing?" I ask with an innocent smile on my face

"Nothing but am about to whoop your ass if you don't behave"

"What did i do" i feign innocence

"You know that doesn't work on me you little devil stop sending me dirty notes and images I'm trying to focus"

"I didn't send you any dirty notes or send anything i just stated a fact in my note don't blame me for where that smutty mind of yours takes you after you read my note that's all on you"

"Is that so?"

"Yeah" i reply

She smiled at me before leaning over and i kid you not, she moaned eroctically into my ear! I couldn't believe it i was frozen for a few seconds as my brain rebooted itself to process what just happened. Not to mention little Dre immediately stood at attention like the good soldier he is. She fought to hold back a laugh seeing my reaction as she pulled her chair away but i grabbed on to it

"Uh uh you're not going anywhere"

She smirked before saying out loud

"Mr harris may i please go to the bathroom"

"Are you finished with your work?" The teacher asks

"Yes i am sir"

"Bring it to me and you may go"

I thought she'd get up and go instead she leaned over closer than before and licked the path from my neck to my ear then nibbled on said ear before getting up grabbing her book and walked away. She placed the book on the teachers desk and gave me a wink before leaving the class.

"Uh Mr harris may i go to the bathroom as well" i say to the teacher

"No i only allow one person to leave my class at a time young man" he replies without looking up

Damn old geezer

"Hahaha, did i forget to mention that my science teacher is very strict" i heard cat's voice in my head as she laughed at me

"Have fun keeping your soldier down Dre. Oh and i wouldn't leave my chair if i were you" she laughs

Damn! She got me good

"I'll get you back for this you little minx"
