Decision
CATALAYA'S POV
"Hey sweetie" i hear as my room door opens
I look up to see dad at the door way
"Hey dad" i say putting away the clothes I'd been folding
"Breakfast is ready" he tells me
"Just gimme a sec" is reply kicking the closet door close before follow him downstairs.
"There's also something wanted to discuss with you and the others about at breakfast" he says as we walked down the stairs which we had opted for instead of the elevator.
"Ok" i nod as we walked
"How's your day so far" he asks
"Its good. I'm a bit sore though from my training with Dre this morning"
"Dre?" He asks puzzled
"Andreas" i say
"Oh" he says with a surprised look on his face and a small smirk on his lips
"Why's everyone so surprised that I'm calling him that" i asked
Its been like this for a few days now, when ever i call Andreas by the name i gave him everyone has weird reactions and keeps giving us weird looks. I wonder if he doesn't like the name and that's why they keep looking at me. I'll have to ask him later he probably doesn't wanna tell me he hates it thinking it'll hurt my feelings or something.
As you've probably guessed my relationship with Dre has gotten better. I mean he's still a jerk sometimes and his mood goes from 1-10 in an instant some days but its not as bad as before or maybe i just got used to it over time. His training is really tough though and he doesn't let up he pushes me to my limit all the time sometimes i feel like I'm gonna die but he's always saying that i should push pass my limits.
"It's nothing bad its just he's not one for nick names and stuff like that he refuses them whenever he's given one so it surprised me a bit when i heard you call him that" dad says
"Oh. Well he had a bet over it and i won so sin or not he has to keep his deal or else" i say with an evil grin while conjuring a black fireball in my hand
"You are wonderfully evil my dear" dad says with a proud smile
"Why thank you father" i says with a small bow making him laugh
"How is training going" he asks after a few seconds of silence
"Its tough but i don't mind" i shrug
"The only way to success is through hard work so I'm giving it my all"
"That's my girl" he smiles ruffling my hair
We reach the end of the stairs and dad leads me to the dining rooms where everyone else is. The chatter dies down as we enter the room
"Morning everyone" dad and i say
"Morning" they all replied
"So who are we teasing this morning" dad asks pulling out my chair for me
"Andreas" Lucy says from beside lana
"Why" i ask since he's not here
"Because he doesn't want to admit he has a crush on you" Merlin says making me choke on the coffee i was drinking
"What?" I ask glaring at dad and Sam who were laughing at me
"Oh come on babe don't tell me you didn't notice" Adonis asks
"Of course i didn't because its not true. Is this because he allows me to call him Dre" i ask
"Amongst other things" Jace says
"Oh hush your just jealous i got to give him a nickname and you didn't" i retort sticking my tongue out
"That is besides the point" jace defends causing everyone to laugh at him
"Baby they're being mean to me" he fake cries into freya's breasts
"Don't mind them baby they're just big bullies" she consoles him whilst hiding her own laughter
"Where is Dre anyway?" i ask looking around"
"He went left to go sulk because they were teasing him" lana says
"Don't act like you weren't in on it too" Aquarius points an accusing finger at her
"I vehemently deny such accusations" lana says
"You liar aren't you the one who said they'd make beautiful babies" Harley accuses
"Oh shut up at least I wasn't the one telling him about Cat's kinky fantasies" lana retorts
"I don't have kinky fantasies" i defend
"Girl please remember that one Halloween you dressed as a dominatrix" Aqua says
"SHE WHAT??" The others yelled
"Haha its true i remember. You got so drunk that night you replaced Jazmine's mouth wash with rubbing alcohol" Dominic says
"Aren't you supposed to be on my side" i ask
"Besides you guys were the ones who told me to wear it" i accuse
"Damn princess you wild" Eric says
"Your all evil"
"Says the princess of hell" Liam replies
"Whatever" i retort
"I bet Andreas would have loved to see you in that outfit huh sis?" Sam says
"Don't even start Sam I'll go get Lilith" i threatened
"Ha too bad she's on a mission" he tells me with a smug grin
"Shit" i cursed knowing I've lost this one
We continued to laugh and talk enjoying our breakfast before dad got started on what he wanted to talk about. However before he began he says
"You can stop hiding now Andreas"
Immediately i felt Dre's aura and saw him appear in a corner of the dining room
"He was here all along?" I ask in bewilderment
Everyone burst out into fits of laughter due to the fact that we now know he heard everything that we just said while Dre refuses to look at me while trying to hide what seemed like a blush on his cheeks.
"Don't you leave this table young lady" dad says as i was about to teleport out of the living room
"But"
"No buts. You and Andreas can wallow in embarrassment later i need to talk to everyone"
"Besides, i am enjoying this" he says joining the others in laughing at my expense
"Traitors" i grumbled
"Bitch please don't act like you don't wanna tap that" legacy says
"Not you too" i groan
"Its the truth why be ashamed. Besides he's hot and his Dragon is huge if you know what i mean" she wiggles her eyebrows suggestively in my mind
"Go sit your horny demonic butt down"
"Oh please i know I'm not the only one who's mind is clouded by lust you do recall what happened this morning" she says referring to the not so good thoughts i had when Dre took his shirt off
"Shut up" i say before blocking her out
I swear she's too much
"What did you want to talk to us about dad?" Sam asks
"Uhm oh yeah" dad says clearing his throat as he gets his laughter under control
"So as we're all aware its basically the end of summer and school starts in a few weeks, as such i wanted to know what you guys will be doing at that time" he says
"What do you mean?" Harley asks
"Well i mean are you guys planning on going back to school. I know its not exactly necessary for our kind and your all capable of self teaching but i know it's what your accustomed to"
"We hadn't really thought about it really" i say as my friends nod in agreement
"What do you think we should do Cat i mean we have no problem either way but this affects you more than us" Merlin says
"Well i for one would like to finish school" i say
"I-i uh i think I'd like to go back to the the same school as well"
"What?" Everyone including Dre says
"Are you sure honey? Dad asks
"You cant be serious" Dre says
I sat there for a few moments thinking about what i should do. On one hand it'll actually be good to go back and no not to boast but it'll be easier if i was somewhere i was used to because staring over isn't easy. However on the flip side i'd have to deal with everyone who bullied me I'd have to face my fears and I'm not sure if i want to do that as yet. But even so apart of me (legacy mainly) wants to go back and prove to everyone who ever mistreated me that I'm not the weak pathetic girl i used to be.
"Sweetheart listen, I'm not saying this because obviously I'm overprotective and i worry but because i don't want you to feel like you have to face your fears now because you don't you can take your time this is a battle that as much as i hate it you have to fight it on your own and i know that not because you found where you belong means your past automatically goes away i know what you went through made its mark on your life so i hope you know that you can take all the time you need" dad goes on to say
I know my emotions are in tuned with everyone because after the ball i became linked with all hellions including Sam's pack and my friend's however with dad even before that its like he always knows what I'm feeling and what i need. If old memories happen to surface bringing me down he's the first one here to comfort me whether its to listen to me rant or to assure me that everything will be ok and that he's always there for me which he has been and has continue to do so he always knows going on with me.
"I know dad. And to be completely honest a part of me wants to stay here forever and never even set eyes on that place again but i know that i need to deal with my trauma and the only way to do that is to face it head on. Being strong isn't always about physical prowess which is why although i can defend myself with my abilities i now need to steel my mind and I'll be able to do that once i face my past. Its not easy and I'll probably come back here in like two days time bawling my eyes out but i still have to try"
"I know babygirl and I'm proud of you" he says
"So is everyone in agreement" dad asks looking at my friends
"Yes-
"Nope" Sam interjects
"Boy i didn't ask you anything" dad says slapping him on the back of his head
"Daaad" he groaned as Adonis laughed
"I absolutely hate this idea. I don't want her anywhere near those bastards"
"Neither does any of us Prince Samael but its like the king says she has to face her past" Dre says
"Ok fine but if were all going along with this stupid plan then there needs to be some rules" Sam replies
"Rules?" I ask raising a brow
"Yes. First one is you have to stay in my pack. As much as i trust aunt syl with my life I'll sleep easier knowing your near so i can protect you. Second is you have to promise me if anyone messes with you it doesn't matter if its just to stick their tongue at you i wanna know and Third someone must accompany you to school. Since you'll be closer to their territory than mine i can't go with you and Adonis and i will be busy" he lists out
"Wow and i thought you were the overprotective one Lucifer" Adonis says
"Don't pretend like your any better lets not forget who burnt down half of Gabriel's pack lands after we had found out at the hospital that cat was rejected" Sam accuses
"Wait you were there?" I asked in shock not recalling his presence
"He's the first one who left. Who did you think set the forest on fire. I had to teleport him back home and place a barrier around our room to keep the angry wolf in" Sam says
"I thought that happened when dad and lucifer was fighting" lana says
"On no. While my little warm up with Gabriel did caused damage the fire was there before i arrived" dad says
"First off that was not a warm up that was Armageddon and secondly, damn Adonis your scary" Aquarius says
"I try my best" Adonis shrugs
"Ok so back to business. Jace, Eric, Liam, Lucy, Brooke, Author and Andreas you are to accompany them to earth however you'll need to hide your auras i don't need it affecting anyone around you and please for the love of my sanity do not harm anyone, i don't need sylvia sending any curses at me. They may not be able kill me but they're a bitch to break and they hurt" dad says
"Understood sir" the seven sins reply
"Uhm sir i get why you want the others to go but why are you sending me"
"Because, like Sam said Cat will need someone by her side to watch over her at all times and since you are in the process of training her anyway i figured you'd be the best fit" dad says with a shrug
"It's not a bad idea Andreas maybe you'll find a mate" Jace says
Dre's body tensed and his eyes turned blood red as he growled loudly causing all except dad and Sam to jump in shock. Silence immediately filled the room as we all looked at Andreas surprised at his reaction
"C-calm down big guy" author says
"I'm so sorry bro i really wasn't thinking when i said that" jace apologies quickly
Dre took deep calming breaths as the veins around his eyes retracted and his eye colour went back to its normal brown almost black colour.
"Ok what the hell just happened" i ask still a bit shaken by what just took place
I've seen Dre grumpy pissed moody annoyed and most times angry however I've never seen him this furious before.
"Its cool man, sorry i flipped" Dre tells Jace
"Uhm, excuse me" he says getting up from his chair then teleporting from the dining room table before i could get a word out
"I'm confused" Freya says
"Its a long story one that Andreas would have to tell" Jace says to her pushing a strand of hair behind her ear
Awww they look so cute
Clearing his throat dad days "That's all i needed to talk to you about. Sam I'd like a word with you in my office" he then got up from the table kissed my forehead and then walked out
"Uhm Cat?" Brooke says with a worried look
"Yeah?"
"Can i ask a favour"
"Sure what do you need" i say looking at her
"Well uh could you go find Andreas. Its just that mates is a touchy topic for him and you can relate to him more than any of us so i thought maybe you could talk to him i guess" she says hesitantly
"Yeah that's no problem i actually was planning on talking to him" i tell her
I could see all six of the sins visibly let out a sigh of relief which made me even more confused than before however i didn't bother to comment on it.
Getting up from my chair i leave the dinning room stepping outside. I took a deep breath slowly spreading out my aura searching for Dre. When i realized he was no where in Assiah i leaked a bit more of my aura carefully spreading it out towards purgatory. It took some time but i eventually locked on to his aura and as expected i found him in his faction of purgatory.
Releasing my wings i took flight as i head towards the lower levels of the underworld. This is the third time I'll be going there since i came here. Soon enough i reach the gate, i flew down in front it only to find four hell hounds blocking my path.
I was kinda nervous because i'd never been in contact with one of them before. The last time i was here Cerberus had gotten me through the gate. One of the hounds growled loudly and threatening at me, i guess that was my warning.
"Let me handle this" legacy says
Nodding mentally i allow her to take over my body. I was still conscious however she was the one who held the reigns
"Let me pass" she says in her demonic voice
My mouth hung wide open as the hounds whimpered in fear stepping away from the gate. The metallic structure opened revealing the huge portal that hid behind it. I felt legacy withdraw to the back of my mind as i was pushed forward.
I step forward walking through the portal, i pictured Dre in my mind as i crossed so it would take me to him as that is how the portal works. I didn't exactly have any other distinguishing landmarks to picture so he was my only way in.
Suddenly i found myself in a pitch black corridor no bulbs no candles, nothing to light the way. I could feel Dre's aura intensely at the end of this corridor so i knew he was here though something about it felt off. Slowly i begin the journey down the unfamiliar labyrinth like corridor which twists and turns left and right through a black maze.
I make one final turn and pass through an enormous archway spilling into the deepest darkest parts of hell. Standing on a huge long ledge looking out into the fire pits, the souls of countless sinners swirl around me at the flow of a flaming river screaming for salvation that will never come. At the edge of the ledge is a throne made of black twisted metal that resembled my crown but far more sinister, the spikes are longer and sharper and the embedded jewels are only black and red.
Rested on one of the armrest is a muscular arm, skin the colour of a starless night with long claws that stretch out from long fingers that taps rhythmically on the chair.
"Who is that?" I think to myself
The aura radiating from this creature implies that its Andreas however my mind is finding it hard to believe.
"A-Andreas?" I ask rather than say
The hand freezes as the muscles tenses in fright
"Dre is that you?"
"What are you doing here Cat?" A deep booming voice rumbles
"I came to talk to you, the guys asked me to check on you" i tell him
"There's nothing to talk about and I'm fine so you can go back now" the voice says dismissively
I'll admit that kinda made me pissed but i shook it off
"I'm not leaving until you talk to me" i say defiantly
He lets out an exasperated sigh knowing first hand how stubborn i can be. The arm shifts as the body attached to it rises from its seat. The chair is too tall for me to see the owner of this strange voice so i wait for him to show his face. I'm extremely anxious to see who this being is but also a bit scared since its voice brings out a fear in me like no other.
Quick hard steps alert me of his movements, he steps around the chair to face me his face turned up in an angry scowl but i can see the apprehension in his eyes. I gasped in shock at the creature before me, it was as if I'm looking at the embodiment of evil, black-skinned and flame-eyed. I'll admit though his face is darkly handsome however its way more sinister and malicious if nothing else.
"H-how?" I ask shocked and confused
"How am i like this instead of a dragon?" he asks for me
I nodded a yes
"Think of this as all my evil thoughts and pent up rage taken form. The embodiment of my sadistic demonic side" he says not meeting my eyes
I just stood there gaping looking at a part of Dre I'd never seen before. Now i could understand why brooke was so hesitant to send me down here.
"I know I'm hideous and your probably scared of me right now so you should just go" he says turning away
"I'm not leaving" i say
"Go away Cat this isn't a place for you"
"I said I'm not leaving Dre"
"I wasn't asking you Cat go away now" he says getting angry causing the flames to rise
"I don't care i told you I'm not leaving" i say raising my voice
"Leave!" His voice booms shaking the earth beneath our feet
"No" i yelled
I could see his bright red eyes light up in rage as he tenses up. I knew he was getting angry well angrier but i didn't care he's my friend and has been there for me when i needed a shoulder so now I'm gonna return the favour whether he wants me to or not.
His body shook visibly in anger as the flaming river styx kept rising and the flames got more intense making me regretting my decision for a second
"Go now!" He yells at me however before i could rebut or make a move the ledge we both stood on cracked in two and the next thing i know I'm falling into the flaming river of damned souls.
Oh fuck!
