Chapter 101: Chapter 101
"I... I live here alone?" Shen Qingju swallowed.
"Why?" Shen Qinglan raised an eyebrow, "Afraid to live alone?"
"No!" Shen Qingju said, "There are three rooms here, it’s such a waste for just me to live in them."
With a calm expression, Shen Qinglan said, "It won’t be. Didn’t your brother-in-law promise to marry into the family?"
Upon hearing this, Shen Qingju let out a howl and pounced on her, making everyone in the room burst into laughter.
Actually, by the usual rule, Shen Qinglan and Shen Qingju should both live in the West Wing, while Shen Qingzhu and Shen Qingping should occupy the East Wing.
However, Shen Qinglan didn’t feel like following the rules, so she assigned the rooms this way for now.
After lunch, and arranging for the Shen Family to rest.
Shen Qinglan planned to visit Shengxiang Restaurant, to inquire if Old Tang knew of any honest and reliable blacksmiths and incidentally ask where Duan Yunfei had moved.
"Are you going out? Could you take me for a stroll?" Shen Qingju asked.
Shen Qinglan looked at the sky, then shook her head, "I’ll take you for a walk once the weather clears up."
Shen Qingju glanced at the sky, and could only nod regretfully, "Alright then!"
She yawned, took two steps back, and then turned to remind, "Remember to bring an umbrella, it might rain soon."
Shen Qinglan nodded, watched her return to the West Wing, then went back to the East Wing herself. Updates are released by 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵⟡𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮⟡𝓷𝓮𝓽
She pushed open the door, expecting a scent of medicine, but instead, there was only the fragrance of osmanthus.
She raised her eyes slightly, seeing a vase on the table, with several sprigs of osmanthus in it.
Upon closer inspection, Shen Qinglan found a folded piece of paper under the vase.
"Qinglan, I’ve moved to the house next door, the largest courtyard. If you return, feel free to visit me! — Duan Yunfei"
Shen Qinglan smiled, stored the letter, walked to her dressing table, and threw the letter into a drawer before grabbing an umbrella and leaving the room.
As soon as she stepped out of the gate, the wind started picking up again.
Next door, the largest courtyard...
Shen Qinglan looked around and saw, not far to the right, indeed there was a large courtyard.
She walked briskly against the wind, and just as she was about to knock, the door was opened from the inside.
Xuan Ying walked out with a frustrated look, and both were momentarily stunned when they saw each other.
"Miss Shen! You’re back?"
Upon seeing her, most of Xuan Ying’s frustration seemed to dissipate.
"The Young Master has been talking about you for quite some time. If you hadn’t returned, my ears would’ve grown calluses from hearing it."
Shen Qinglan didn’t respond to his comment but asked, "Where are you going?"
"Escaping!" Xuan Ying sighed, "There’s a pesky fellow inside, I need to get away for a bit."
Shen Qinglan raised an eyebrow, "Your Young Master?"
"How could it be?" Xuan Ying quickly replied, "The Young Master is, next to my parents, the person I admire most; how could he be annoying!"
"Ah, let’s not talk about him. Anyway, he’s very annoying!" Xuan Ying sighed again, "I won’t say more, I have to go now. It’s about to rain, Miss Shen, you should go inside!"
As soon as he finished, he lightly touched his toe to the ground and flew off like the wind.
Shen Qinglan clicked her tongue twice; it was her first time witnessing the legendary Qinggong.
Seeing Xuan Ying’s figure disappear, Shen Qinglan finally turned and went through the gate.
Compared to the Shen Mansion, this place was indeed bigger and more unique.
As Shen Qinglan walked, she looked around; following the corridor forward, she had just reached the Half Moon Gate when she saw Xuan Ming holding something, coming from the other side.
"Who goes there?" Xuan Ming asked coldly.
Shen Qinglan did not reply but instead took off her hat.
