Chapter 230: Chapter 230
The lantern’s glow flickered, casting long shadows across the cramped cabin room as Adam’s chuckle broke the silence.
It was a low, resonant sound, laced with mostly amusement at this very moment.
He leaned back against the wall, his golden eyes glinting in the dim light, studying Moca.
Adam started, and then continued voicing out his opinion on the matter at hand.
"It never cease to amaze me, how sensitive you creatures of the night truly are, you guys always had a knack for sniffing out energy source’s henceforth there types. Hiding what I am from one of your kind? Is damn near impossible it would seem."
Moca’s crimson eyes widened slightly, her posture stiffening, though she didn’t retreat.
She stood her ground, her black leather outfit hugging her frame, the faint flush on her pale cheeks betraying the storm of questions brewing behind her composed exterior.
Adam’s words hung in the air, heavy with implication.
"You’re sharp, Moca."
He continued, his smile both warm and cryptic.
"You’re right, you know. I’m a monster. But as for what kind...
He trailed off, his gaze piercing yet playful.
"Let’s just say I’m not ready to share that particular secret just yet. If you want to work with me in the student council for the three years to come, you’ll need to prove your loyalty first."
Her lips parted, a flicker of surprise in her eyes.
She echoed, her voice soft but fill with cautiousness.
"What does that mean?"
Adam crossed his arms, his cape shifting slightly as he moved, the faint glow of his sword pulsing in the corner.
"It means trust is earned, not given. You want to know my secrets? Show me you’re worth them."
Moca’s jaw tightened, and she nodded slowly, processing his words.
"I understand. Still if I am allowed to asked, if your a Monster like me, then is the Van Hellsing family... are they really your family, or is it a cover for...
She hesitated, her voice dropping to a quieter tone.
The question struck like a blade, and for a moment, the room seemed to shrink with growing tension
Adam’s smile widened, but his eyes were unreadable.
"The Van Hellsings are my family in the human world. But you already know that, don’t you? Your family’s the same, isn’t it? A dukedom on the surface, but something else entirely in the shadows."
Moca’s breath caught, her mind racing.
She had grown up hearing rumors of the unorthodox families, noble houses in the human world that secretly belonged to the monstrous hierarchies of their home world.
However she wasn’t the heir.
So her time here, and influence wasn’t as strong as as it was for her older sister. However she manage convince her parents to let her attend school here.
And from what little she did know, was the fact that The Van Hellsings, like her own family, were tied to the Shinso Monster Family, one of the thirteen great Monster Lord bloodlines. The rıghtful source is 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡⚫𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢⚫𝘯𝘦𝘵
Ruled by beings of unimaginable power.
Her father, a Monster Lord himself, had spoken of the lord of that territory on several occasions. Especially since before they where very inactive in the Monster World.
And that power being was an Oni woman... The Monster Lord of Fantasy, Shinso Minerva
And now, standing before her, was one of their own. Another person from their family, still something finally clicked.
As she recalls a distant memory a couple years back of her one of her friend being offered up to him as his wife.
"Apparently his name is Adam Novels, and King of the Sidhe. I can’t believe mom would just give me up like that."
Moca finally putting one and two together seem to finally realized who the person in front of her truly was
Moca’s voice trembled, a rare crack in her icy facade. She stepped back, her knees buckling slightly as she gazed at Adam, her crimson eyes wide with realization.
"No way. You’re part of the Shinso family aren’t you."
Adam’s smile turned almost boyish, a stark contrast to the primal intensity of his gaze.
He said casually, as if admitting to a minor quirk. He stepped closer, his towering frame filling the small space, his presence overwhelming yet strangely comforting.
"The name Adam... it’s not just a name, is it? You’ve heard the rumors, haven’t you? The mysterious new Shinso who appeared a few years ago in the Monster World, I gain popularity around the time I was six when I killed Alustus, and form What is now known as the Pentagon today."
Said Adam as he tilted his head, his golden eyes gleaming.
Moca’s knees hit the floor immediately after hearing this, a gesture so swift and instinctual it shocked even her.
She bowed her head, her white hair spilling forward like a curtain.
She murmured, her voice thick with respect.
Adam laughed softly, the sound rich and disarming, it wasn’t the first time Monster who knew him did this.
Still it was nice being treated like royalty.
However he wasn’t here to treat Moca , as such he called out to her saying.
"Oh, Moca, stand up. You’re practically royalty yourself, aren’t you? Your father’s a Monster Lord for crying out loud, same as my mate, Minerva. No need to bend the knee to me."
He reached out, his fingers brushing her chin gently, urging her to rise.
"Besides, your father taught you to respect strength, didn’t he? And I’m not one for formalities with people of similar ranking, stand up strong one."
Moca rose, her movements graceful but hesitant, her eyes locked on his.
She admitted, her voice steadier now.
"He and mom has taught me never to disrespect the truly strong. And I know this might sound cringe, but your quite popular back home, after you form the Pentagon."
"I mean all I did was take some of the strongest family from different monster clans, and put them under single banner. We are basically equals, I stand above no one, and the same thing apply to the five other patriarchs of the Pentagon."
"Well father said you all where are bunch of old freaks of nature. With the exception of you of course. Still think if Kifril wasn’t apart of that five he would have not warned us not aggreivate you all."
"Haha, I am probably annoying am I, come off as very talkative to people I am comfortable with."
Adam shrugged, the gesture almost human in its nonchalance.
"Well, firstly we don’t cause trouble for anyone, and secondly everything is fine between us, Moca. I’m just... selective about what I share. Having another kin around, though, it is refreshing."
Said Adam, his tone softened, and for a moment, the crushing feeling of his presence seemed to lighten, as if he were just a man, not a monster of legend.
Still Moca’s lips parted, a flood of questions poised to spill out, but she held them back, sensing the boundary he had drawn.
Instead, she straightened, her composure returning.
"Still father said, I should make it a habit of getting to know the strong... so I want to be of use to you."
She said, her voice firm with resolve.
"Now that I know your station, I want to work with you even more. The student council, the academy, whatever you need, I’m in."
Adam’s eyes sparkled with approval, though his expression remained guarded.
He said, his voice low.
"Prove yourself, and we’ll see how deep this partnership goes. For now, though...
He paused, his gaze drifting to the bedroll in the corner.
"I would like some privacy. I’m not tired...Shinso monsters like me don’t need much rest. We’re self-sustaining, you know. But I want to visit the Dream World for a bit. Clear my head there."
Moca nodded, bowing her head slightly.
"Of course, Your Grace... Ah, I mean President."
She corrected herself, catching the faint lift of his brow.
"I’ll excuse myself."
She turned to leave, her movements fluid, but paused at the curtain, glancing back.
"If you need anything, I’ll be nearby."
As the blanket partition fell behind her, Adam exhaled, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly.
"Well I guess it’s time to pay Echidna a visit again, sigh, I really do hope she goes easy on me this time."
Outside however Adam could hear the camp buzzed with renewed energy. The students, invigorated by Adam’s presence, were louder now since word quickly spread of his arrival, their voices carrying through the cabin walls.
Rex was out there, no doubt stoking the fire and rallying the group, his ambition as palpable as the cold beyond the barrier.
Adam’s lips twitched at the thought.
As he settled onto the bedroll, closing his eyes and letting his mind slip into the Dream World.
Soon his eyes re-open, he was in familiar place,
Cold water of the cave brushed his back, as White snakes crawled over his body.
Opening his eyes he saw beautiful pair of moons above shining down upon him.
But that aside he got up, and walk up the stairs.
Clothes manifesting around him as he made his way to Echidna chamber.
The sounds loud moans enter his ears as he passed the pits.
Fellow Kim’s raping the men below, their face contorted in pleasure as they experience taste of Lamia pussy.
But as the men below fuck, their life started to dwindle as exhaustion takes them.
Soon after, a voice echoed behind him.
