Nadia had started eating other kinds of food apart from breast milk, that day I knew that I would spend a lot of time at the movie scenes and would likely come home late so I fed her enough and even took time to prepare her lunch and dinner and put it in the fridge, I didn't leave until I took time to explain to Hannah, Sandra and Elizabeth how and when to feed her.

"UK you don't have to worry, we get everything figured out. Nadia would eat enough food at the right time." Hannah said

"not just enough food, make sure she is well fed. not too small for her to starve and not too much for her to throw up," I said

"alright, alright, I get it. you have nothing to worry about UK." Hannah said pushing me gently out of the house.

Jade had travelled to Panama the previous day, he had received a call about some problems in Royale Fragrance over there and so he left promising to come back as soon as possible. He has been the one in charge of Nadia's meals whenever I stayed out long shooting a movie, that's why I was all worked giving instructions to Hannah and her staff. I trusted them to do everything very well just the way I instructed but the mother in me wanted everything to be perfect.

As Hannah pushed me outside, Natalie was held me by the wrist and drew me to the car, "UK we're gonna be late, come on let's go,"

"wait, let me kiss my babies goodbye," I said and ran back to the porch, I hugged Juliet and gave her a peck, got Nadia from Hannah and kissed her on the forehead, "bye bye darlings, Juliet you take care of your sister alright?"

"sure Mommy, we'll have the best time," Juliet said.

"what's up with the drama, it looks as if you are travelling," Natalie said as we got into the car

"I don't know, I'm just missing Jade so much that being away from my babies even for few hours is heart wrenching," I said

"uh... drama queen!" Natalie said

"you just wait until you've met that special person in your life, you'll understand what I'm talking about," I said to her.

Just as I had thought, the shoot went on and on till 8pm. When I got home, Nadia had fallen asleep but Juliet was still awake, "pumpkin, why aren't you asleep?" I asked in hushed tone as I got into her room

"I was waiting for you to read me a bedtime story," she said

"I thought you said you were too old for that?" I asked

"I just missed it, would you sleep with me tonight? or I could come over to your room, it'll be the two of us, just like old times" she said

"alright, get your teddy let's go," I said.

After showering and setting the alarm on my phone to 5am, I crawled under the sheets, and went to sleep embracing Juliet.

It was late at night when Juliet woke me up

"what time is it? Juliet what's wrong?" I asked yawning

"Mommy, I think Nadia is crying," she said

"really?" I jumped out of bed and went to Nadia's room. She was standing on the cot crying, "oh my poor baby, don't cry anymore, Mommy is here," I said holding her to my chest.

"mommy? why not bring Nadia to join us," Juliet said

"you sure?" I asked her

"yes, I want Nadia to join us," she said

we went back to bed, I slept in between Nadia and Juliet.

Jade came back two days later, stressed out, it was obvious that he hasn't had a good sleep. I called the director that I had a family emergency and would not be coming that day, luckily for me I had done today's work yesterday so I was free to stay absent. Hannah got his travelling box to his room while I made him sit on the couch. I took off his jacket, loosened his neck tie and cufflinks. "come, let's go upstairs," I said taking his hands and leading him to his room. I took off his shirt and shoes, "what happened at Panama?" I asked him

"I almost lost Royale Fragrance at Panama, it took Scott and I sleepless nights to save it," he said

"but everything is alright now, right?" I asked

"yes baby, everything has been sorted out," he said

"That's a relief, I've missed you so much you know. Nadia and Juliet too, I was so worried when I didn't hear from you and Scott. last night I slept here in your room," I said as I gave him a massage

"That explains why you are wearing my shirt," he said. "maybe you could move into my room, that way you won't miss me too much,"

"sounds great but I fear all my things won't fit this room," I said

"just take the most important things. I want to be with you every night,"

"then I better start packing".

The premiere of my last completed movie,"Cold Souls" was in few days and so many fashion desiners brought sample of their latest works for me to try on. With the help of Natalie and Jade, I chose a simple blue evening dress with one hand. The only accessories I used was a silver clutch and a pair of chandelier earrings. I drove my car to the cinema, took pictures and went in.

I enjoyed watching myself act, I did receive accolades from people sitting close to me. At the end of the two hours movie, a lot of people came over to hug me. I got invitation to birthday parties, charity events and other functions only the rich and famous people can attend.

Xiao Ling and Darren had a simple wedding at Beijing, I told Natalie to clear my schedule for that week. I, Natalie, Ariel, Tiffany and two other Chinese girls were her bridesmaids. When Xiao Ling threw her wedding flower, I caught it.

"wow UK, not only did you catch both of your sisters flower, you caught Xiao ling's flowers too. Do you know what that means?" Natalie asked.

"yeah, I am very good at catching wedding flowers," I said

"what? No silly, it means you are going to get married soon," she said.

"Don't be delirious, I don't plan on getting married anytime soon," I said.

"But why? You are done with school, you have a good job and a lovely boyfriend who dotes on you. That's not all, you have two amazing kids, what more do you want?" she asked

"Love. I really love Jade with all my heart and soul but I don't know if he feels the same way about me. Yes he cares about me and does everything in his ability to show me how he truly feels. But Natalie, I am a woman and in as much as I enjoy all he's done for me, if he really loves me then why can't he say it?"

(THREE MONTHS LATER)

UK! UK! UK!" Natalie screamed in excitement one sunny afternoon as she bursted into my room (I and Jade's room).

"Natalie what's going on?" I asked

"you won't believe what just came into your mail box," she said excitedly.

"what is it?" I asked.

"You have been nominated for an Oscar award!" she said jumping

"Ahhhhhh!!!! Oh my God! I can't believe this," I screamed.

I got the letter from her and gazed at the gold printed alphabets. This was a thing every actress dreams of getting, I couldn't contain my excitement. I picked up my phone and called Jade, he rushed to the house to see things for himself.

"Wow honey, an Oscar nominee, I am so proud of you. You just don't have to worry, I will provide the best team to get you ready for this big event," he said hugging me tight.

True to his words, Jade provided the best fashion and make up team to get me ready for the award ceremony. I wore a brocade blouse which stopped right below my breast and a matching thick layered flowing high waist skirt, which had a slit way up to my mid thigh. My hair was twisted in a big braid, kept on the right side of my shoulder down to my breast. Fancy hair clips were used in decorating my hair. Max drove me to the venue of the award ceremony, top actors and actresses from all over the world were present. Some were kind enough to hug and say hello, some nodded at me, some gave me deadly stares and some just went their way. I was beginning to feel lonely when I heard a familiar voice call my name, I was shocked and super excited to see Ariel.

"oh my God A, you're here too?" I asked hugging her

"yes, I got nominated too. I am super duper excited," she said

We took a picture together and just as we wanted to go inside, I felt my phone vibrate in my clutch. I took it out to see "Tiffany calling" why on Earth would Tiffany be calling me now when she knew where I was? I thought

"Tiffany I swear to God if this isn't important I'll..." I started to say but she cut in

"UK... (sobs) something bad has happened," she said in a teary voice

"what's the matter Tiff?" I asked

"it's Juliet, I was taking her on a ride with my bike and she fell off. She's bleeding profusely, I am really sorry but I don't know who else to call. Jade will kill me if he finds out," she said crying

" where are you Tiff, I'm coming," I said and turned around to leave.

The crowd was getting thicker and I couldn't make out the exit. "UK where are you going?" Ariel called after me

"my daughter has an accident A, I'm going to her," I said

"no, you can't leave," she said holding me. "What about the award ceremony?"

"let me go Ariel, I don't care about this award ceremony. My daughter is bleeding to death on the cold street of New York, and I'm not going to abandon her because of some award ceremony," I said

"what did you say? which daughter?" A masculine voice asked, I turned to see Jade frowning.

"I'm sorry Jade, I have to go," I said. I hiked up my skirt and ran into the crowd as fast as I can, not minding his call or the cameras flashing at me.
