Chapter 30: Chapter 30
ROYCE
Another weekend, and I was so excited to finally meet Nelly again. I haven't seen her for 4 days, and it's like a month for me. We had different and hectic schedules, even in the gym. I had to work out at night, and she had to do it early in the morning. The last time I saw her was when I took her home, Monday night.
It was the second time I met her mom and met her dad first. That night I had the chance to ask permission from her mom to take Nelly on a date tonight. The anticipation of obtaining things I want to achieve fuels me up.
I settled on black jeans paired with a royal blue long sleeve folded in my elbow. Around 7 in the evening, we park at the yacht port.
"Surprise," I said, pointing at the Yacht on the dock. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at me and the Yacht back and forth.
"We'll have dinner while sailing and viewing the beautiful night, the stars, and the sea. How does it sound?"
"Sounds great; it's been a long time since I haven't had dinner on the Yacht. The last time was with family when we're still complete," she said, sadness clouding her features.
I leaned over to her and softly brushed a finger on her face.
"It's okay, baby, we'll do it again. Now, let me get this thing so we can start sailing and have dinner together," I said as I unbuckled her seatbelt. The smile on her lips was priceless.
Nelina wore a white floral dress; printed big sunflowers were all over her dress, giving the summer vibe suitable for April. She was breathtaking as always. She never fails to mesmerize me, especially if she wears a full skirt, making her look much younger and like a doll. The night was fine; I could clearly see her face even without a light. We are alone at the view deck at the top of the Yacht. She was occupied looking at the water where it sparkled from the star's reflection. I was happy to see her enjoying the stillness.
As the Yacht started to sail, the wind got strong enough to sway her dress up and down. She held her dress, the wind blew her hair, but I was quick enough to hold it in place. "Oops, the wind, it's getting stronger."
She nodded, then closed her eyes; she inhaled deeply, her chest rose and fell.
"The breeze, fresh, can you feel that?"
"I know, everything I feel and see tonight is beautiful," I said as I trailed my fingers on her cheek.
She jolted, but she refused to open her eyes. I took it as permission to kiss her back, and I desired to deepen our kiss. I put back my lips on hers, she opened her eyes, meeting mine. She closed her eyes again and followed my pace. Her lips are soft and warm. She clung her hands on my neck, slowly massaging; it sent fire in my body. Our moans are the only music I could hear. It was pleasant in my ears. My hands became wild, caressing her back as we paced fast, playing each other's tongue.
I wasn't in my sanity to think if I did it fast or slow. I initiated parting our lips, trailed a kiss down to her neck. "Nelly..." I said her name hard, licking her throat down to her chest.
"Royce," she said, her voice soft. She pulled herself a little bit and held my face. "Enough"
We were panting as I pulled Nelly, her head on my chest. Our arms wrapped around each other, tighter than ever. "I'm sorry," she said, still finding her breathing rhythm.
"It's okay; I love you." I slowly rubbed her smooth and shiny hair, sniffing them, hoping it would help her calm. We stayed this way for a few minutes until we were both at ease. "I think we should go downstairs for dinner," I said as I unwrapped my arms around her.
"Sure, I'm hungry anyway," she admitted. I held her chin, flushed face, and a smile never leaving her lips.
"You're sweet," I said upon licking my lips, tasting her lip gloss.
She couldn't help but laugh. Her cheeks turned red, she slapped her hand on her mouth as if she was embarrassed.
"That's my lip gloss, cherry flavor." I laughed in unison. I trailed a finger on her cheek before I escorted her downstairs to the table for two.
The waiters started to set the food on the table when we arrived. One of the staff handed me a bouquet. "Thank you," I said as I nodded.
I shifted to Nelly and handed her the flowers. "This is for you." Nelly accepted it and sniffed on them. "Do you like it?"
"I love it, thank you," she said, her smile reaching her eyes. She retrieves the card on top of the flowers and reads it. She showed me a tight-lip smile upon reading it.
"Dinner is ready, shall we?"
"Sure"
I took the bouquet from her and gave it to the staff. I led her to the table and pulled her a chair to sit. Before I sat on the opposite side, I commanded the waiters to leave us. My phone beeped once as I walked to my chair, but I ignored it.
"You should look at your phone; it might be important," Nelly suggested.
I was about to reject her request when my phone rang. I took my phone and was shocked by the name that appeared on the screen. ROXIE. I thought I blocked her number. I swiped the screen to cancel the call and immediately turned it off.
"Is there something wrong?" Nelly inquired.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Nothing. Let's eat? I'm hungry." I said as I sat on the opposite chair.
"Me too." She answered in a tight-lipped smile.
"Well, I had them prepare low-calorie food for you since you are on a diet. Let's enjoy the food," I said, motioning my hand on the table.
For a few minutes, the only noise we could hear was the sound of the utensils on the table. Occasionally, I glanced at Nelly's; I was pleased seeing her obviously enjoying her food. I lifted my wine and sipped a little.
"Did you like the food so far?" I asked, eyeing her in the rim of the wine glass.
She lifted the napkin and wiped her lip. "Yeah, suits my taste. You have a good chef."
"Thanks. You should eat more; you can have this as a cheat day. Anyway, the food is not that high in calories."
"I like it this way, just the two of us."
The last three words keep resounding in my head. TWO OF US. I smirked, the wicked smirked that she hates. "What does it mean?"
"I mean no music, not like the usual romantic dinner, there's a violin playing. I don't like it."
I burst into laughter. "Me, too. I don't like it either. I'd rather talk to my girl than listen to music."
"Your girl? How many girls do you have?"
"Only you, can't you see? I'm head over heels with you."
"Who was the one calling you just now?" Nelly asked as she picked her fork and knife again.
She's jealous. "It wasn't my girl; you're my only one. Don't be jealous of someone who does not exist."
She rolled her eyes. "Who's jealous?" She said casually and pretended to focus on her food. She was toying with her food and didn't even eat it.
I chuckled, looking at how affected she was; she looked cute. Yet, anxiousness came to me. Why did Roxie call me? I shook off my worries and reached out for Nelly's hand.
"Hey." She looked at me as I squeezed her hand a bit. "There is no other woman for me, only you. Okay?"
She didn't respond and lowered her gaze on her food. However, a lopsided smile slipped on her lips. Enough for me to confirm that she believed me. We savor our food until we're full enough.
"We should go back to the view deck; it's more beautiful now that we're in the middle of the ocean."
"That's what I'm thinking. Let's go?" Nelly said as she stood up. However, before we could get to the stairs, her phone rang. Nelly stopped to retrieve her cellphone inside her clutch bag. Her eyebrow drew as soon as she saw the screen of her phone, and then she hurriedly swiped to answer.
"Hello, mom?" Nelly paused, listening to the other line. "Mom, calm down; what is it?"
I walked near her and held her shoulder as I observed that there might be a situation. After a few moments, she jolted. "Okay, I'll be right there. Just don't panic." Nelly cut the call and shifted on me. She looked at me with her glassy eyes, pleading.
