In a world where humans and werewolves live together, 16-year-old Alina goes to a school for werewolves. As one of the few people she is ignored or teased there. One day, a new pack comes to town with the aim of winning over the packless werewolves. Their leader is the dreaded Damian Black. He feels attracted to Alina, although that shouldn't actually be possible. Alina rejects the stubborn Alpha. After all, no one must ever know her secret. But Damian doesn't give up. When a woman is also murdered, Alina realizes that some things certainly don't happen by accident. Especially when there is such a big goal behind it.
