Chapter 308: Chapter 308

"Strictly speaking, I am the Flower God."

When An Shihua spoke these words, Su Yan’s heart skipped a beat.

This time, she was laying all her cards on the table. And quite abruptly, too.

As Su Yan processed this, his brows furrowed slightly. He looked at An Shihua, who was only a few centimeters away from him, pressed as close as lovers, and asked, "What do you mean?"

"Exactly what it sounds like," she replied in a soft, gentle tone.

Because they were so close, her breath rhythmically brushed against Su Yan’s face as she spoke, warm and ticklish in a comforting way.

"You’re saying you’re the Flower God?" Su Yan still couldn’t quite digest this information and sought confirmation once more.

"Yes, I am the Flower God," An Shihua affirmed with a soft nod, as sparing with her words as ever.

After hearing An Shihua’s response, Su Yan felt his thoughts becoming muddled.

One had to understand: the Flower God was a being of comparable renown to Old Shu, perhaps even a tier above the leading figures in the Demonic Plant world. She commanded countless Flower Fairies, an Evolution Strongman among Evolution Strongmen. A terrifying existence that struck fear into all hearts.

Yet, the An Shihua before him... according to his bio-information panel, she was merely a Half-step Legendary Level Demonic Plant.

Could someone like her really be equated with the exalted Flower God? Surely, there had to be some mistake?

Seeing the doubt on Su Yan’s face, An Shihua spoke again, "I know you’re puzzled, and I know you find it hard to believe, but that is the truth."

"Come to my dorm; I can tell you everything you want to know."

"It’s not convenient to talk here with so many prying eyes and ears. Let’s go to my dorm, and I’ll explain everything slowly."

With that, An Shihua began to walk with light steps. Exuding a fragrant floral scent, she moved unhurriedly toward her dormitory.

Watching her, Su Yan hesitated for a moment, but after some thought, he decided to follow.

After all, if a man and a woman were alone in a room, it was usually the woman who stood to lose out. A straightforward man like himself had nothing to fear.

They soon reached the dormitory building.

Su Yan was somewhat surprised to find that An Shihua lived in the same building as him, and even on the same floor.

His dorm was 404; hers was 406. Their rooms were separated only by dormitory 405; they were practically neighbors.

These Jing University dormitories... didn’t they separate them by gender? Wouldn’t that be awkward? Su Yan couldn’t quite understand the school administration’s reasoning. Perhaps they believed young men, brimming with youthful vigor, possessed ample self-control, so there was no need to worry about unfortunate incidents like nighttime raids on the girls’ dormitories.

The dorm door opened.

An Shihua called out to Su Yan, who was walking behind her, lost in thought, "Come in."

She then entered the dorm first.

Su Yan, seeing this, felt no awkwardness and followed her right in.

It was just a girl’s room; it wasn’t like he hadn’t been in one before. He practically made a habit of going in and out of his three younger sisters’ rooms daily, so much so that he was almost sick of it.

Upon entering the living room, a floral fragrance immediately washed over him. It was very pleasant, reminiscent of a flower shop.

Su Yan curiously scanned the living room. Everywhere he looked, there were flowers. There were roses, lilies, jasmine, and Freesias, along with various other flowers he had never seen before.

All in all, it was a dormitory that perfectly reflected An Shihua’s style.

"Thinking back, didn’t you just register at Jing University today?" Su Yan asked An Shihua, finding the situation quite suspicious. "So how come your dorm looks like it’s been fully furnished for some time?"

Whether it was her asking him to show her around campus earlier, or her apparent unfamiliarity in the cafeteria just moments ago, both instances suggested it was her first time at Jing University.

Yet, the dorm was now decorated with such a personal touch. This strongly implied she had arrived at Jing University much earlier and had already been in her room.

Facing Su Yan’s question, An Shihua remained perfectly composed. She turned the question back on him, "When did I ever say I had just arrived to register at Jing University?"

"Then why did you ask me to show you around campus..."

"When I asked you to show me around campus, the emphasis was on *you* showing *me*, not on *me touring* the campus." An Shihua stated this as if it were perfectly logical, her tone carrying a hint of assertiveness.

Hearing this, Su Yan couldn’t help the corner of his mouth from twitching. This An Shihua is truly domineering, he thought. She’s definitely the type to wear the pants in a marriage.

"We’re in your dorm now. So, tell me about this Flower God business," Su Yan said, casually finding a spot on the sofa and sitting down.

An Shihua didn’t rush to respond. Instead, she unhurriedly boiled water and brewed a pot of flower tea. She then fetched two cups and poured tea for both herself and Su Yan.

"Try it. This is the tea I’ve made," An Shihua said, handing a cup, filled seven-tenths full, to Su Yan. Her voice was as cool and detached as ever.

Su Yan accepted the teacup, a hint of exasperation in his voice. "I’m not blind. I saw you brewing it; I know you made this tea."

He then gently sipped the flower tea. It was warm and sweet, its aroma pure and fragrant, imbued with a delicate, girlish tenderness.

Seeing Su Yan savoring the tea, An Shihua, seated opposite him, arched a delicate eyebrow slightly. "You misunderstood," she said. "When I said *my* tea, I was referring to the flowers in the teapot."

"Those are Rare Flower Cores from my own body. They’re priceless. You’re quite fortunate to taste them."
