The wave of sadness rushed inside my body the moment I stepped inside the building where I don't want to spend any second of my life, simply wasting my whole energy just to arguing him.

But fate has decided already and I have no option but to adjust myself at least for 20 months.

Damn!!! It's 20 months!! How I am going to survive these days knowing the fact that the devil is beside me waiting for the better opportunity for claiming his mischievous attitude over me.

"Morning! Miss. Kader." Payal greeted me when I crossed her table. I gave her a small nod and walked towards the elevator.

This is not my behavior. I will give them the same attitude that they have given me but today I am not in the right mind to show any kind of my sweet side but now I feel bad for treating her like this, as making her feel like not wanted when she didn't do anything.

My stupid mind doesn't function properly which has clouded me with anger towards her arrogant boss but that doesn't mean I can show my anger to everyone.

Gregg!! I groaned in frustration and turned my heels to walk towards her table. She lifted her head once my shadow fell on her book which she was gone through.

She adjusted her glass and spoke "Ahh... Is any.." Before she finished her sentence I greeted her with equal favor that she had showered me a minute ago.

She furrowed her brows unable to get the points then grinned widely when it clicked in her mind. That's it. That's what I needed from my employees. The genuine smile on their face.

"Okay, Bye Payal. See you later." I said and walked towards the elevator once again. I'm not the arrogant boss who behaves rudely to their employees whenever their mood is down.

My heart gets some peace when I correct my mistakes. I inhaled deeply and entered the elevator. People are looking at me like I am a different creature but when I looked at them they averted their gaze and looked somewhere not me.

Why should my office have happened to be his next? I mentally groaned and stepped out of the elevator and there he was standing in front of me, his back was facing me. Needless to say, he is shouting at someone on the phone.

Somehow I feel pity for the person who was bearing all his cursing words. Thank God! He didn't notice me yet so I took this as my good cue to leave the place and walked past him.

Most of the employees didn't dare to look at my face instead they just nodded their heads whenever I crossed them. My heart is pounding heavily in my rib cage but I don't know why when it doesn't make any sense.

"Miss. Kader, Come to my office immediately." His voice boomed through the phone and I regretted why did I attend his call in the first place.

I collected the files from the 12h floor which he asked me to submit the day before but unfortunately, something happened and the work has been left pending.

After hearing his 'Come in' I entered his room having straight look on my face. One thing is sure if he tried to do anything worst that I don't like then I will cut his ball.

"Sit." He ordered in his usual stern voice. I took a seat in front of him and handed him a file. Once the project gets close, I don't want to face him again during the whole 20 months of my services at the Global Institute of Technology that made my heart jump with happiness.

As usual, he took his own time to go through every page. Somehow I knew he is doing this desperately for his reason.

"Everything is okay and I appreciate your work. You did a great job even though you are very new to this company." then he looked directly into my eyes and said, "but not in my life."

I fisted my hand while throwing him a murderous glare. If a look could kill someone then he would be six feet under the ground covering nothing but white cloths inside the grave.

Instead, he smirked and handed me another file. "What this for?" I asked folding my arms against my chest.

"This is your new assignment. You should finish them within a week. All our employee's details are inside this file. Just go through this and confirm whether the details are pulled up correctly."

"And what makes you think I will do this?" I challenged him. "It's not my place to verify your employee's details and report to you. Give your security team and ask them to do such silly things." I set the file on his table, politely giving him a smile internally cursing him to hell.

He leaned forward to grab my arms and interlinked our fingers together. I tried my best to get rid of his grip but who I am kidding he is strong as a stone while I was just like a mere paper that will tear anytime soon.

"Just do what I said." He said in his husky tone. "And for your information, we are going to work together." I looked at him like he has grown with two heads.

"I mean you will be in my office... Besides me." He whispered the last part causing me to lose my entire color from my body and he smirked when he noticed my state.

Of course, now I seem to look like a ghost when I heard him saying we are going to work together. What are his problems? First, it's not my work and second, it's not his work too. And lastly, it's not a job at all!!!!!

If he suspects any employees then he could investigate them in his way otherwise digging everyone's profile is not going to help, it's a waste of time.

Several employees are working in this organization. After all, this is one of the topmost companies all around the world.

"Why all of a sudden he is showing some interest to me?" My inner voice asked me as I am an expert to answer her every question.

An idea shone into my brain which caused me to smile inwardly. "I can do this by myself and I don't think your help is needed," I said and stoop up from the seat.

He looked at me with a frown on his face. "Your wish but don't forget to submit the file within a week."

"Sure," I said and walked out of his office. I have a plan in my pretty mind and I hope I will succeed.

As he asked, I verified the file and asked Juliet to submit the file on his table. Juliet is very helpful throughout the whole week.

But what bothered me is she seemed distracted sometimes, but whenever I asked her a question she simply shook her head and get back into her work mode.

Harith is also helped me to go through the full file. He has multiple talents that he has never shown before but I realized that he is full of talents and hard work and I regretted judging him so easily.

He is a playboy that everyone is aware of that but he is so sincere when it comes to working like his As*hole friend.

I finished my work with the help of Juliet's experience and Harith's knowledge those two are lacking in my system.

I just gave the file to their respective HR team as Harith told me to do and asked them to finish it before Thursday. They split the file and send them to their Team Lead to verify.

That's how the 10000 profile has been split into 100 teams, each has 100 profiles. They finished their work in time and now it's on his table.

"Thank you, Juliet." I hugged her but she was out of her thoughts. She gave me a smile that didn't reach her ears. Something bothering her.

Harith raised an eyebrow "Where is my hug?" He asked pouting his lips like a child. I gave him a bone-crushing hug and pinched his cheek but a pair of blue eyes got my attention.

He was throwing a hard glare towards our direction but I couldn't tell exactly where he has thrown it or to whom.

"Okay let's go. I will buy you lunch." Harith grabbed both of our arms and dragged us inside the elevator unaware of his friend was watching over us.

Juliet was silent throughout the whole time and again it's bothering me. I wanted to ask her what happened but she would tell me if it is the right time.

So I pushed the question from my mind and enjoyed the lunch which was Pizza, Chicken, Chicken curry, French fries, Chips, Orange juice, Milkshakes, Momos, chocolate cake, fruit salad, and lemon soda.

These are ordered by Harith saying he skipped his breakfast and wanted to add that too in his lunch. We chatted for a long and get to know each other.

One month and a week passed but it seems yesterday when I stepped inside the company knowing to face him again but I found another way and feel good now.

He tried his best to get my attention but I made my mind clear that I never give him a chance to get his way. He didn't fail to give me a complex task but I solved all the puzzles that he has given me and submit the file on his table before the due time.

He may expect me in his office to submit the file and may think to start his crazy shit but it was Juliet who did a favor to me and faced him all day.

Yesterday he asked me to go with him to the party which one of his Clients invited him for the success of his project which will be on the coming Friday.

As usual, I declined his offer and asked Juliet to attend the party which she accepted wholeheartedly.

For this one month and a week, I didn't see him personally nor made any eye contact. Juliet was between us like a bridge and it made things go easy for me but not for him.

Once I entered this building, I locked myself inside my office and do my work until I finish and handed the file to Juliet. She would take care of the remaining things. This is how I managed to survive here and it became my routine.

I greeted Payal and entered the elevator. As usual most of the employees kept their distance from me especially men but who cares. They are cowards who don't have any self conflicts.

When I stepped out of the elevator I came to meet the red puffy eyes which belong to the familiar face of Juliet. Harith was standing beside her wearing a worried expression on his face.

"Juliet," I called her name but she ran away through the exit. I furrowed my brows. What happened to her?

Reading my mind Harith answered me, "She lost her job."

"What?" I asked not believing what I heard.

He inhaled deeply and said the words which caused my blood to boil in anger. "He fired her."
