Chapter 22: Chapter 22
~~~Past Wind~~~
I'm fidgeting my finger nervously as not knowing whatever I'm doing is correct or not, it seems like I am going to participate in the running competition and the rest of my life is dependent on them.
We are standing in front of the building where I'm going to marry the love of my life but something felt wrong, it kept bothering my mind begging me to reconsider the decision.
Am I pushing myself into this marriage? But anyway in the future I will marry him, so why not now?
"Oh my god! Oh my god!! Oh my god!!! Riya!!! You are going to marry your prince charming at this young age." Claire shrieked partially jumping up and down like a penguin.
"You are so lucky, I'm proud of you." She hugged me tightly.
"Claire, shut up! You are getting everyone's attention." I scolded her for behaving like a child while my eyes wandered around the place to confirm if anyone is watching us.
"Come on Riya!! Donβt be a boring duck." She sarcastically threw both her hands in the air. "It's your special day, don't ruin it for anyone." She scolded me back.
I know today is my special day but I am not happy, it likes my inside felt empty. I have so many dreams about my wedding like every girl has.
Like......
My dad will walk me to the aisle then give my hand to my beloved one. I and my groom will share our vows looking at each other faces and will share the passionate kiss but will pull apart when we hear the squeal from the bunch of audiences and I will hide my face on his chest out of embarrassment. We will follow all the traditions like cake cutting, dancing, feeding cake, and wine to each other and finally attending some funny games we will end the function there. I will busy myself with my friends to make him lose his patience then he will come and steal me from them saying I'm only his which causes a result of everyone to start to tease him about the unconditional love he has towards me. During our reception, we both will get tired of hearing everyone's wishes and their unconditional love all the while standing in the stadium welcoming their wishes in open arms having a huge smile on our faces. In the corner of my eyes, I will notice my parents will comfort each other while my brother gives me an assured smile saying everything will be alright and I will return the same with my small smile. Being a good brother Zach will warn my groom saying to have his ball if he dares to treat me like trash and my groom will accept this gladly bowing his head having a warm smile on his face. In the end, I will throw my bouquet towards my braids maid mainly pointing towards Claire. Finally, they all will send us to our honeymoon waving their hand brightly. I will adjust myself into the car besides my groom and he will wipe my tears that coming out of happiness smoothening nothing but sweet words trying to comfort me.
That's how I wanted to start my married life, call me silly but I have many flowers in my garden about my marriage but things turned out in another way and I am not going to get married in the church instead it is going to register in the small office, a sign is enough them to announce us a wedded couple.
I don't want to wear a gown to present myself as a braid instead of my normal clothes as Jean and a shirt is enough to show them me as a braid.
My dad is not here for walking me to the aisle instead my friend Claire is here for me to give support. She took the responsibilities of both my dad and brother's that they failed to do in their life.
"Girl, it took me hours to represent you like a queen for your king, but what you are doing? Please don't spoil my artwork. I did my hard work at least give some respect." Claire tried to light my mood up when she noticed me in a broken state.
"Okay... Okay... I am not crying." I said and gave her a weak smile.
---
"Are you ready?" Kayish asked stretching his hand towards me to hold his.
"Yes, I am." I nodded my head and held his hand allowing him to lead me towards the cabin where our marriage is going to be signed off.
"How are you feeling now?" He asked, his face turned into concern whereas his brows furrowed together when he felt my cold hand under him.
Yesterday I had my panic attack, I and Kayish were planning to go shopping but ended up stuck in the elevator.
I hardly tried to balance my breath but failed and fainted. I heard his panicked voice booming through the elevator before passing out.
When I opened my eyes, I realized I was admitted to the hospital and unconscious for almost 12 hours.
Claire said that he was freaked out when I didn't open my eyes after an hour. His love for me is so strong and I am so lucky to have him in my entire life.
"I am fine," I said and squeezed his hand for assurance. He inhaled deeply and let out a long sigh.
The counselor came and handed us a paper to fill in our details. After finishing all our formalities he asked looking directly into me that "Did anyone force you to this marriage?"
I stared at him blankly not knowing how to answer. Do I look forced? Or else my facial expression is not enough to show him how happy I am with this marriage?
Claire nudged my shoulder indicating me to answer his questions. "What?" I whispered to her ear.
"It's just for formalities. Don't take it seriously, it's their duty. So answered him genuinely." She said like she had some experience in this field.
"No." I shook my head. "I am here with my whole heart," I answered him genuinely.
He nodded his head. "Okay then, sign here." He shoved the book which almost looks like a diary where they will keep all the couple details and steal their marriage accordingly.
We signed as we were instructed. Following us, our mentor signed and now I am married to my dearest husband, once upon a time known as my boyfriend.
He slipped the ring in my ring finger and I did the same. Mine has a "K" letter on the top of the ring beside his has "R". The ring is simple yet looks beautiful and I am going to take care of this till my last breath.
"You are officially mine," he said and planted a sweet kiss on my forehead. "No one is going to hurt you and I will have their life if they try to harm you," He whispered.
"Okay let's celebrate the function." Claire sought our attention grinning widely like she won a lottery.
He led me towards his car and opened the door for me like a gentleman. I thanked him and sat on the back seat, he joined immediately taking the seat beside me. Interlinking our hands together we started our journey.
"What's going on?" I asked when the car came to stop in front of the huge hall.
"Just a small gift for my beloved wife," he said and led me out of the car. Once we came out, Claire dragged me God knows where and did some magic to my body, it took her two hours to finish her work.
"You look so beautiful, Riya. You are lucky to have me as your female friend otherwise I would have kidnapped you right this moment and have you as mine," said her statement brought a deep shade of blush on my cheeks.
She made me wear a pink gown which hugged my body perfectly. A golden pad was wrapped around my waist giving me a princess look besides she forced me to wear a golden color crown on my head and a pair of shoes that match with the crown.
Claire did my hair in a French braid as well as my makeup and made me believe that I am looking like one of the Queen in the 1800s.
"Hmm!!! He is so lucky to have you in his life but remember Riya if he treats you bad just ring me, I will fulfill his last dying wish."
I wanted to tell her that I am the luckiest person on the earth to have him as mine but knowing Claire I shook my head to end the conversation or she will continue her plagiarism.
I breathed heavily when I saw him in a white tuxedo with a black necktie waiting for me at the entrance. His hair was combed neatly giving him a more attractive look than ever whereas his face shining brightly showing how happy he is.
He gave me a wink when he caught me eyeing him. I blushed and looked away.
Three cute girls wearing a pink dress that exactly matches mine was beginning to throw rose petals over us while we walking through the red carpet inside the hall.
Music was heard all over the place like someone threw a huge party and I gasped when I saw the bunch of people standing inside the hall waiting for our arrival. Then I realized they all are from our college and most of them are my friends and loved ones.
"Oh, God! Kayish you did this for me." I asked struggling to control my tears.
"Yes! It's for you," he said sincerely. The three flower girls led us towards the stage and handed me a bouquet which was filled with various colors of Rose as white, yellow, pink, and Red.
My dreams were fulfilled by him when I thought there is no place for any. The cake cutting, dancing, and the games everything has arranged perfectly.
The function went well more than I thought and I am so happy. Claire hugged me and wiped her fake tears dramatically.
"You have one more semester to finish your degree, so don't give so much attention to make a baby, use protection always, and one more thing whether you like it or not I am the godmother of your child."
My cheeks heat up from embarrassment and I heard a chuckle from Kayish. "Claire!!" I warned and buried my face on his chest.
We reached his apartment at 6 in the evening and were drifted into sleep the moment our head hit the pillow.
Today February 14, I'm married to the love of my life and going to start my new life with him. I hope hereafter everything is under control.
