At the breakfast table

Diya's pov

After many days my whole family was having breakfast together. Because of bhai's busy schedule, he hardly has his breakfast with us.

Though I was eating my whole mind was occupied by Rudra's creepy behaviour. He seriously threatened me. Should I tell bhai about Rudra!! No, I shouldn't. Bhai is already under too much pressure. If I tell him now it will create unnecessary bother for him.

I was completely zoned out when I heard someone calling me.

" Diya, hey Diya. Where are you lost?" Bhai called me shaking my left hand.

"Umm....yes,bhai. You are telling something?" I asked him putting an Apple piece in my mouth.

He answered," I have kept a brown colour file in my drawer. Can you give it to Virat? I have to go somewhere for important work. If you are free then do it for your bhai."

"Of course, bhai. I will give it to Virat bhai in his studio. Don't worry, "I replied giving him a toothy smile.

Author's pov

Virat was doing some work in his studio. He was still trying to gather proof against Rudra. He has to teach a lesson to Rudra for kidnapping his brother.

He was lost in his work when his phone rang. He saw the caller id. It was one of his cameramen. It was Mahesh. Virat received the call.

Mahesh- Hello, Virat bhai. I have some information about Suraj's murder.

Virat- What!! What kind of information? Tell me immediately.

Mahesh- Bhai, can you meet me? I can't tell you the information on the phone.

Virat- Fine. I will meet you. Tell me where are you?

Mahesh- Bhai, I am sending you the address via message. Come soon.

Virat- ok. I am coming.

Saying that Virat cut the call. He was too blinded to teach Rudra a lesson that he didn't bother to check the fact that Mahesh was telling the truth or not. Virat grabbed his bike's key and hurriedly went outside.

Diya's pov

I was going to Virat bhai's studio riding on my bicycle. Well,  I always loved to ride a bicycle. I just reached Virat bhai's studio when I saw him going outside hurriedly.

Abhishek bhai said the file is important. Should I leave the file in Virat bhai's studio? I am confused. No, I should give the file in his hand..

I started following him. As he was riding on a bike. Obviously, he was faster than me. I followed his direction.

After two minutes I reached in front of an abandoned factory. I noticed that Virat bhai's bike was parked here. Without thinking anything further I entered the factory. I was wondering what's Virat bhai doing in this creepy abandoned place.

Suddenly, a noise caught my attention. I felt like someone was groaning. I started going towards the source of the noise.

I halted when I saw that Virat bhai was tied to a chair with ropes. 5/6 people were surrounding him. But one person was sitting in front of Virat bhai in a chair. I couldn't see his face as he was back facing me. I could sense that something was wrong here and it may put me in danger. So, I hid behind a large machine.

The man who was sitting in the chair started saying," Virat Khanna. I warned you earlier but you didn't take me seriously."

I recognised this voice. It was Rudra Pratap. He has trapped Virat bhai.

Then, Rudra said," Well, I have given you time to mend your mistakes. But you didn't mend them. Rather you started collecting information against me."

" Well, I appreciate your efforts though but you didn't leave any choice for me. You have to die. I am really sorry for your brother and mother," Saying that Rudra pointed his gun at Virat bhai's head.

Virat bhai couldn't say anything as his mouth is shut by a tape.

Seeing the scenery in front of me, my throat turned dry. Are they going to kill Virat bhai? No, I can't let that happen.

I should call Abhishek bhai. He will help Virat bhai. Without wasting a further second I opened my phone lock and called Abhishek bhai.

But, to my utter disappointment, there was no network on my phone. What should I do!! Should I scream for help!! No, this area is completely empty. No one will come to help me.

Suddenly my eyes made contact with Virat bhai. Seeing me, his eyes got widened with pure shock. He kept looking at me with confusion and fear. He signalled me by his eyes to stay quiet. Though I wanted to scream, I had to keep my mouth shut.

Before I could even take a breath, I heard a gunshot. A gasp almost left my mouth but I placed my palms on my mouth to prevent screaming.

Rudra just shot Virat bhai. That too in the middle of his forehead. Virat bhai was dead. He died in front of my eyes but I couldn't do anything. I froze in my place seeing the horrible sight in front of me.  How can they kill someone! Tears clouded my vision already.

They killed a brother of mine. They are murderers!!!

I heard Rudra ordering his men," Throw this dead body in the river and clean this place. Clean everything carefully so that no one can find anything."

" How can someone be so cruel!! After killing him they were treating his dead body like trash!!

I was still in my place. I was way too shocked to move but anger clouded my mind. Though I couldn't save Virat bhai, I will give him Justice.

Mr Rudra Pratap Singh, you will be punished for your sin. I will make sure of that. This is my promise to you!!
